Just a thought....

So, I've been wondering for the past few days...or two weeks, I think. Just how exactly did all of the aliens we know and love (and glomp) got into the GKND? Like, their back story as how it all went down.

I dunno, I'm not making this as a roleplay since it's not up in the title, but I've been wondering...I'm just curious, like what made them want to join and things...not the basic synopsis, but, you know...

That's actually an interesting thought. I'd be interested in reading about how everyone got into the GKND, you're right!

I think it'd be cool if everyone kind of wrote down their story here, y'know? Like, a short explanation or a long one or whatever. Is that what you mean? X3 Because I'm totally just guessing.

Haha, great thought, though!

Yes! YES! That's what I was thinking....I was going to make my character's intro into sort of a one-shot, but then I kept getting stuck on ideas *headdesk* Anyway, but yeah, that's what I was going for, putting explainations down here and things like that.

I think that's a GREAT idea, Paula! It should give everyone an opportunity to think about exactly how their character was chosen to be in the GKND, or for what kind of reasons they ended up there X3

What a great thought! I'll have to think about, because I seriously don't have a CLUE how Nebulos might've ended up there XD; But I'll think about it now! It's working already!

*smiles* Yay....I'm an influence! *shot*...okay, well, to get started I'll write one down. I was talking with Ellie because of how it'd be funny to have Zoelin bring every little thing she broke to him...which made me think of her background and well...here's how I think Zoelin got into it. I

On the planet Whiskite, the KND was already in formation...only they didn't have Numbuhs, and their teams were usually had only 3 whiskites. Her team consisted of her younger cousin, Dinkal and another girl, Hanke. Dinkal always got on Zoelin's back because she was usually napping or tinkering with something rather than fighting off the baddies/adult tyranny with them like a team.

Her only arguement was that they didn't need to depend on her all of the time, which was partly true. See, her teammates weren't usually good at fighting without her, being that she liked to carry around a lot of weaponry or other things to distract the enemies with. That, and she was older (which on their planet, gives the operative the job of being the "muscles" ).

However, one day while on a mission to load in new weaponry into their clubhouse, Zoelin and her teammates noticed a ship breaking through their atmosphere and ontothe ground with a crash. Hanke and Dinkal volunteered Zoelin to go, though she was already in mid-flight to go check it out. When she arrived at the sight of the vessel's crash, she noticed a boy flapping his purple wings about like crazy and crashing into the few trees that were nearby.

It seemed as if the boy couldn't handle the brightness that came from the 3 suns above the planet, which probably sent him into a panic-attack mode. When he woke up again, lucky for him that it was near sun-down.

He introduced himself as Finnick (lol) and asked where was the local KND base.

Zoelin just shrugged but told him that he could probably follow her to meet her teammates....only when they were about to leave, did one of the evil adults appear and try to beat the two kids.

(note that I'm horrible at writing fight scenes, so I'll just skip that part)

After they fought off the evil adult, Finnick asked Zoelin if she'd want to join the Galatic Kids Next Door. They talked about the idea back to her base, which didn't really set right with Dinkal once he heard of the plan. After a long conversation, she managed her cousin to let her go and...well, the rest is history.

That...and she couldn't really keep track of her Numbuh once she was assigned to it by the Commisioning Module, so they made it something simple: 14-7-2 (14 dash 7 dash 2), which was actually the numbuhs that she liked from the human number system.

PAULA, THAT WAS EPIC! X3 Here's what I have for Etoile and Tala. I wrote it as a little story. It's not very good, but eh. It's late and I'm tired.

The field of blue grass was filled with excited, chattering Telarians of all shapes, sizes, and colors. This was a frequent occurrence for the race of yellow-skinned aliens, for they were a happy people that often gathered together to celebrate pretty much anything that they wanted to celebrate. The towering, speckled trees framed the field, gathering the large group together while they waited for the event to begin.

But this was not a regular Telarian celebration. No, today was special.

The Telarians had been preparing for days for this event, and it could be felt in the excited, tense way that conversations buzzed in the crowds. Families stood in groups, all of them smiling and chattering, with a happy, competitive feeling between them that was almost always present, anyway. But near the back of the large village of people, two Telarians were arguing good-naturedly rather than talking happily.

“I’ll get Mortimer to eat your face!” the young girl snapped, her hands on her hips in the most obstinate manner.

The boy rolled his eyes in response. “Mortimer likes me better, anyway.”

“Nu-uh! All I’m saying is that I should be allowed to enter!”

“And the rules say that you’re not. Sorry, su’luo, but they’re not going to let you.”

Exchanging glances, it was clear that the two parents were used to this sort of exchange between their children. The blonde mother, with strands of grey marring the gold waves on her head, bent down and smiled at the pair. “Tala, you’ll be allowed to enter next year, okay, myn oa’nee? Why don’t we just cheer Etoile on this year?”

With a pair of thick arms, the father scooped up the younger girl in his arms and held her close to his chest while she tried to keep from smiling. “Next year you will soar, my love! This year, you will stay with me.”

The girl sighed a little bit, but she then tucked her head into the curve of his neck and shoulder with a pleased smile at the blue-haired man. Meanwhile, the boy had turned his attention to the front, where a ringing voice was suddenly echoing out over the field. A large Telarian with white hair was speaking into a megaphone crafted from thick leaves, and his voice carried out to the farthest reaches of the crowd.

“Would all participants make their way to the front?”

T’suki Ganmade bent over and kissed the forehead of her son, who squirmed a bit in anticipation, ready to leave. “You’ll do great.”

Flashing a grin at his family, Etoile was gone, weaving through the crowd like the other kids his age as they all streamed to the front. His sister watched him go with a mixed expression, full of pride and sadness, before turning her head away and grimacing at nothing in particular. Being younger just wasn’t fair.

Up in front, all of the boys and girls of the same age lined up, most of them fidgeting in anticipation. Etoile flashed his smile at the crowd and tried his best to not look nervous, waving shyly at his friends in the front that were all cheering for him. From the back, his family watched proudly, feeling lucky to have a son that had this opportunity.

“See, honey?” Dal turned to look down at the girl in his arms with a smile. “Soon that’ll be you up there, you’ll be-“

But she was gone.

“Dear. . .”

“There she goes again.”

“Should we go find her?”

“We don’t need to, I’m sure we know where she went.”

“They’ll fish her out eventually.”

With amused smiles, the parents turned their gazes frontward, keeping an eye out for the crop of green hair that had mysteriously gone missing.

The girl in question had popped up next to her brother, hiding in the space between him and the next contestant. Etoile look startled, and then exasperated, leaning over to whisper to her fiercely. “You know you’re not supposed to be up here! They’ll kick you out!”

But she ignored him, waving to a boy up front with orange hair like the excited kid that she was.

“Stop waving at Da’ango and listen to me! You can’t be u-“

“Be nice to Da’ango, he’s my boyfriend.”

There was a silence, and then her brother rolled his eyes. “He’s not your boyfriend, Tala, you’re six. You’re way too young to have a boyfriend.”

“He is so! He shared his candy with me today during school, see?!” Her hands pulled a few brightly colored treats out of her pockets, but this did nothing to calm her brother down, who looked disgruntled.

“He’s not. . . you can’t. . . whatever. Look, you can’t be up here. Go back to mom and dad.”

“ON YOUR MARK. . . GET SET. . . GO!”

Suddenly, all of the kids around Etoile blasted into the sky. Realizing that his sister had made him miss the mark, the boy glared at her before shooting off after them, leaving his sister on the ground while he tried to make up for the time he had missed.

The girl’s orange eyes narrowed. “Oh no you don’t.”

Shooting off after him, she sped through the air, racing after the large group of Telarians that were winding down the pre-determined track. Naturally good at flying, the girl weaved through the air after her brother, catching up to him in a matter of seconds and coasting next to him on their paths. “I’m sorry, okay?”

“Fine! Now hush, I’m trying to race!” Saluting to her, the boy blasted forward, passing a few of the Telarians on his way to the front of the group.

The object of the competition was simple. They were trying to find the most gifted Telarians – the ones who could fly fastest, lift highest, and perform the best. No one really knew what they were looking for them for, but it was a matter of pride to be one of the few chosen by winning the competitions.

Tala knew that Etoile would make it. He was naturally gifted with telekinesis and able to perform under pressure. He wasn’t the best, not by far, but he was good enough. And Tala knew that she was almost as good as he was; if anyone deserved to be able to race, it was her.

She watched as Etoile slowly moved from the back of the group to the front, soon leading the group on the flight path with a joyous grin on his face. He was neck-and-neck with several other Telarians, but in this competition, you didn’t have to be the best to win. You just had to be one of the best.

Pushing onward, she was soon behind him, unable to go any faster but pleased with her position. And when they passed the ending flag and she realized that she had come in seventh, she was contented. Eat that, older kids. I can out-perform you.

Even better, Etoile had come in second.

The rest of the competition was easy. Etoile lifted the boulder like it was no problem, and Tala didn’t do so bad, either. His shield was a little wobbly, but it passed, and hers was barely better. And she knew his grades in school were good, even if hers were a little lacking.

“When we call out your name, come stand up here with us!” The winners were being chosen and Tala had her fingers crossed for her brother. And maybe just a little bit for herself.

“Nomano Tonga, Usila Reund, Othani Vera’myo, Etoile Ganmade, Liona Ilionata-“

Tala let out a whoop that was louder than Etoile’s as the boy, beaming so hard that she thought his face would burst, jogged to the stand and stood proudly among the winners. She was so enraptured with his success that she almost didn’t hear her own name called.

“-Tala Ganmade-“

“What?”

She hadn’t expected her name to be called, even if she had been hoping for it. And her brother looked even more surprised.

“Tala Ganmade is not old enough,” one of the elders droned, leaning over to the one with the list of names. “She cannot come up.”

“But she performed well. You know that T’suki and Dal were talented, it must have passed on-“

“Her nature will get in the way of her skills. We can’t allow-“

Etoile frowned, mixed between wanting his sister with him and not wanting to interrupt the elders while they spoke to one another concerning the fate of his sister. But he didn’t have to; apparently she was taking fate into her own hands.

“Excuse me!”

All the elders turned to blink at her.

“I will follow Etoile wherever he goes. If you don’t allow me in, I’ll find a way to sneak in. I know I’m not the best, but I’ll prove myself. Just let me with him.”

The minutes were agonizing in which the elders spoke softly to one another. Tala had joined Etoile, and he was holding her hand tightly, waiting to hear what the fate of his sister was. But their deliberation was long, painful, and most of the crowd was murmuring quietly amongst themselves while wondering what the problem was.

“It is decided.”

Cold blue eyes turned toward the Ganmade siblings.

“Tala Ganmade, we will let you in. But you will be watched very closely. Any mishaps, and you will be done, is that understood?”

Whooping with joy, the siblings hugged each other, and after the list of names was read, the chosen Telarians were led away, where they were then informed and instated as members of the Galactic Kids Next Door. T’suki and Dal were proud parents that day, even if Tala did get grounded for a turn of the moon for not listening.

And the rest is history.

You guys know the rest of the story. Etoile was picked specially for Sector SUN and Tala wasn't, but the girl hi-jacked Masurao's ship and followed him anyway.

Also Da'ango/Tala makes me laugh. CANDY IS SRS BUSINESS FOR KIDS. YOU SHARE YOUR CANDY AND YOU MIGHT AS WELL GET MARRIED. XD

Wow, Sadie that was even more epic than mine! It was awesome...Yes, candy-sharing is the same thing as getting engaged! It kinda reminds me of when I was six and had a "boyfriend"...

I love both of their stories <3 <3 <3 Like I already told Paula, I don't think Milo-Lee was happy when Finnick went on a mission and came back with a girl XD And Sadie, yours was hilarious XD

Anyway, I've put a lot of thought into Milo-Lee's backstory, but I need to write it, and I haven't even started thinking about Finnick's yet XP

The day seemed like a normal day, the sun above Ursaminora was bright in it's orangey-hues as was the purple speckled grass that reflected below it. Most families were out and about from their homes, taking in the nice day as a sign of relaxation and fun-time. Others, were preoccupied with a certain tree-building, as their kids were inside taking a very important test. Inside a room, many little furry heads had their faces turned downward towards a piece of paper, each one of them scribbling something down on it.

They were in an assortment of colors: red hair on green fur, purple on yellow, which ever one you looked at, you would notice each little Ursaminorian-child by it's hair and markings. One of them, kept her head all the way down, tilted sideways as she was trying to concentrate.

Her name was Lunira, and her colors didn't stand out much, though she almost resembled the colors of an Earth Panda. The only thing that did stand out, was her habit of wearing bright green ribbons in her hair and around her ears. Using the little colored stick, she marked down her final answer just as the older Ursa in the front of the room boomed his loud voice.

"Tewekos down, please."

There were a few disgruntled sighed which probably meant that those little bear-ish kids weren't finished, or maybe they weren't satisfied with their answers.

The older bear, having silvery gray hair and light blue fur, made his way around to collect the papers, having to yank some of them from a few Ursas as they tried to hide it. When he went back to his spot, he scanned over each one, making corrections in his head.

All of the little ones raised their heads, wondering who would be called up for the test. Some even had their ears perked higher than they usually went. There was a long silence before the elder spoke again.

". . .Greoon, Tikna, Havinoe, Filori..."

Lunira watched from her seat as the the four Ursas stood. Her ears sagged a little, knowing now that maybe her test wasn't all that great. "Maybe I should've stayed home," she whispered to herself.

She didn't notice the blue-and silver furred man turn his head towards her, catching her words. He didn't say anything, which made the room go very silent. When Lunira lifted her head again, she jumped a little seeing the man's pink eyes staring at her own green ones. One thing she should've remembered, Ursa's have very good hearing.

Lunira shivered a little under his gaze, but she didn't turn away. When a smile came upon his face, all fear went out of the window."Think nothing of it, I was about to call you next."

She only blinked in response, before shaking her head to make sure she wasn't dreaming. "Really?" He nodded as he went back to addressing the class.

"Those are the only five who are going to the next test. The rest of you have the day off, though I strongly suggest that some of you study next time." He added, eyeing a yound lad who was sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.

Lunira followed the other four when the elder signaled them to come outside. She stretched a little, forgetting how warm it was out here. The older man told them he had to go prepare the second test and make sure it was ready for them before he left, leaving the five small Ursas by themselves.

Greoon, being a boy with messy orange hair on top of his darkened pink fur was the first to speak among them. "Well, you four might as well just go home now."

"And why's that?" Tikna, having purple hair with green fur asked, a frown creasing its way onto her forehead.

"Because...I said so, that's why." He responded, pointing at himself with his thumb.

"Really? I thought it was because you didn't want us to see you cry--"

"When we beat you to finish line." Havinoe and Filori, the twins, said as they finished eachother's sentences. Being gray with speckled blue and green for their hair, they looked alike as most twin boys usually do.

Greoon frowned, and placed his hands on his hips. "No...It's because I'm better than all of you, and I've got a secret weapon...Besides, he did call my name first, after all."

"I thought that was because yours was the first test he came upon while grading them," Lunira asked, raising an eyebrow. The boy only frowned deeper, shooting her a look. "What? It's true...I think."

The blue-furred elder came back to the younglings, saying that the second test was ready for them. All five smiles came upon their faces, although once they arrived at the test sight, their grins soon faded.

Unlike the first test where they only had to answer questions as to what they would do in random situations, along with why they should be chosen, this test was more physical. Each Ursa was assigned a tree and they had to battle whatever lurked in the tree-tops. Now, Ursaminorans are naturally good climbers, but they were just kids, and the oldest one out of them all was about 9.

Again, Greoon was the first to speak. "Piece of cake, right guys?"

Tikna and the twins only shuddered in place, as Lunira could only widen her eyes. This was probably going to be a problem for her, since she wasn't that great of a fighter to begin with.

"Now...on your marks....get set...GO!" Lunira seemed to be in a frozen state, but quickly came to as she saw the others quickly running to their assigned tree and were climbing up its long trunk. She nodded as she headed towards her own blue and green tree. Tilting her head again to look towards the top, she grabbed onto its trunk and found her footing before scrambling up against it.

Hours had passed since the elder had signified their start of the second test, but when three of them came down, them being Tikna, Havinoe and Filori, he whistled towards the other two trees that still had the Ursas inside.

Lunira wasn't very sure as to how she did it, but some how she managed to avoid the Juiunne's attacks when she first came up into the tree-top. Juiunnes were a type of predator on this planet, and they liked to eat small creatures such as herself, but since this was only a test, the judges had only made a fake one to help out. It wasn't easy, since it's head kept striking at her, but she managed dodge it's attacks and run around the tree, leading it's head into a knot.

Climbing back down, Lunira saw the crestfallen looks on Tikna and the twins, which gave her the impression that they were out.

"Looks like it's just me and you, ribbons," Greoon smiled at her, which made Lunira crinkle her nose a bit. He was very arrogant, and she for one, didn't even like his somewhat-advances of flirting...at least, how much flirting one could do at 8 years old.

"All right now, we'll have to see if the beasts you faced off were destroyed. Oh Hans?" The blue-furred man called towards an equally aged Ursaminorian, but with larger muscles as well as a flipped color scheme that of the elder. He nodded as he went towards the first tree and stopped. Within seconds, he was very large, being five times his natural height and then some, as he went towards the tree and shaking it for the Juiunne to fall out.

Being that it was Greoon's tree, the Juiunne fell out instantly, looking to be completely destroyed as it's eyes had the small black x-marks over them.

Lunira gulped a little, she didn't know they had to kill them. She just thought they had to fare off on their own up there until 3 of them were disqualified. It was very clear on the elder and Hans' faces when the still-moving-but-bound-and-tied Juiunne had fell out, that she was indeed wrong.

". . . .Lunira..."

"I'm sorry, Elder Rinou..I though we just...well," she didn't really do well when put immediantly on the spot, and she began to mumble and mesh her words together as she fiddled with her ribbons.

"I see. Well, although you didn't exactly kill it--or dismantle it, rather...you are disqualified, which means that Greoon wins."

"YES!!!" The reddish-pink boy cried. "GKND, here I come!" He seemed so thrilled while she was very disappointed, but when he began to jump around for joy, a small object fell out from beneath his shirt.

Hans, now having turned back into his small-yet taller-than-them-all size, had picked it up. "Er...Master Rinou?" He handed the man the object, now revealing it to be a remote-control.

The man's eyes widened before turning into thin slits. He stared at Greoon, who hadn't noticed by now that his "secret weapon" was out in the open. "Greoon." The elder said very deeply and sternly as he could.

"Yes, Master--" The boy's yellow eyes widened, seeing the remote in the man's paws. He tried not to look innocent, though it was very hard to be convincing when your voice starts to go higher than normal and you begin stuttering your words--which was what he did.

"Er..w-w-what's th-that? How'd th-th-that get i-i-in there?"

"I'm very disappointed in you, young one. You are disqualified." Master Rinou folded his arms as the boy's eyes soon filled up with tears. He didn't let them see him cry though, as he had his head bent downward. Having been exposed was embarrassing enough already, and he didn't need his own crying to further it.

As Hans took the small boy back towards the town, Master Rinou walked towards Lunira.

"Don't worry....I'm clean," she smiled sheepishly, holding her arms straight out and patting herself to prove it. The man only chuckled and laid a hand on her head.

"You are your father's daughter...well, I expect you'll be ready first thing tomorrow?" Lunira nodded eagerly, her smile growing stronger and wider upon her face.

And the rest...is history.

Yep, something I just came up with...I kinda liked the idea of having a test for it, like Sadie showed...plus I had some sort of idea that Lunira had to take an in-school test or something.

Not much, but it had remote controls in it!

Oh and forgot to add, when they're young, Ursas can only grow to three times their height (only for a short time and when necessary)....but when they're older it increases to four times...then five times when they're fully grown (normal, not literally lol.) That, and their strength is multiplied with the growth-change, but it doesn't last for long like the growing.
