I don't know if anyone's interested, but I thought it might be fun to start a thread about shows, movies or cartoons which we used to watch as a kid. Although we're all from different parts of the world, who knows how much of these shows we might have in common The idea came to me upon remembering a show I use to love as a kid! I don't know if anyone of you know it, but if you do, you're bound to recognize it right away just by the intro x3 The Animals of Farthing Wood!Gosh, I really loved this show! X3 I don't know if it ever reached outside of Europe, but I remember that it was broadcasted in a kajillion countries on this continent. The theme song still sends chills down my spine, because I'm so touched by it ^-^ It really was an amazing show! It was based on a book, too. It was about a group of animals, which were forced to leave their forest, because men decided to cut it down. They decide to travel together and make an oath that they won't eat one another. Toad leads them on to a nature reserve called "White Deer Park", which is a long way, but a place where they can live without worry. (It was also funny how their names were all just "Fox", "Badger", "Mole", "Rabit" and so on ^-^) Ah the memories! X3 Good times, good times ^-^ (Overhere it was called "Beestenbos is Boos", perhaps TJ and Vera knew this too ^-^)

And the other day I saw my dad watching a tape where he had recorded one of the episodes and I went like "Hey I know that cartoon" I couldn't remember the name but I remembered that I used to love that show >u<
I also used to love "Woody woodpecker" and "Popey the sailor"=P

I remember watching a little bit of Goof Troop as a kid as well, but not enough to consider myself a huge fan of it. Although I must admit, it was a lot of fun to coem home from school and watch old Disney Channel shows form the earlier decade when I was younger.

I swear, this theme song still sends chills down my spine every time I listen to it! x3 Too bad the quality of the vid is a little poor, but man, oh man, I loved this show! Their voices are so fun too! I love it how they talk through the song too, like "We're really hip!" XD Love the Turtles! <3

I dunno if this thread is still alive, or what, but I just had to participate The sw near the end means I still watch it today, just because I love it so much <3 (Yes, I'm still, like, 5 years old at heart) Some of them may have already been listed ^^ Let's see now... Sesame Street (Both the Canadian and American version ) (sw) Bear in the Big Blue House (sw) PB&J Otter Pinky and the Brain Alvin and the Chipmunks (sw) Between the Lions (sw) Muppet Babies (sw) Little Bear The Big Comfy Couch Tiny Toon Adventures (sw if I ever find it) Puzzle Palace (actually, I didn't watch this one a whole lot, but I had this one playset that I just loooooved!) Toy Castle (sw love the dancing on this show Blues Clues (Can't believe I'm going to say this) Barney Sailor Moon Bernstain Bears Care Bears Looney Toons (sw) And that's really all I can think of right now....there was this one show that I was trying to remember....it had dinosaurs in it and they told each other stories....hmmm.... Oh, and there are two kids programs that were introduced after the "time of wacthing" for me that I fell in love with recently (Basically, if it involves puppetry and is made for preschool-gradeschool kids, I probably love it) It's a Big Big World Big and Small (plays on Treehouse tv in Canada and in the UK somewhere I think.....)

My favorite childhood show was DEFINITELY Hey, Arnold!
I loved that show so much. XD Arnold and his football head, ahaha, poor guy.
And I loved KND, of course, but Hey Arnold! was so hilarious, with Helga's long monologues and her OBSESSION with Arnold. XD

Yes XD I think any kid that grew up in the nineties hardly missed the whole Pokémon thing ^^ *giggles* Ah, the good old days when there were just 150 Pokémon, and Mew was the "secret" 151st one! Nowadays Mew isn't even considered special anymore .__. Poor Mew.

In fact, if anyone asks me today, I still love pokemon. The original 151 are the best, but I love it. X3

Eevee for me.
Speaking of which, I just realized I still have my first version pokedex. I was so determined to become a pokeman master, I was five and dressed up as Ash for Halloween. XD
My brother is still holding pictures of that as blackmail...
Anyway,
- Blues Clues (Whatever happened to Steve? Seriously, just poof he went!)
- Little Bear.
- The New Adventures of Winne the Pooh.
- 101 Dalmatians: The Series.
- Doug.
- Timon & Pumbaa.
- Gummi Bears (...I can't be the only who remember this. I grew up on the reruns!)
- Gargoyles ( I still watch it!)
- - -
Wow, I was seriously strange as a youngster.
