Hey there. It's been a while since I've posted anything here (even September 2007 feels like forever ago!), but I've had a hankering for some old school Cartoon Network stuff. I like to share a 3/4 idea that been stewing in my brain, something that's probably in the Hayao Miyazaki category. 3/4 is one of those couples where everyone around them expects will just end up together one day when they're ready, but what if the relationship is challenged before then? What if Numbuh Four got disfigured somehow, like he was turned into a beast/cyborg/rainbow monkey/etc? These kinds of Beauty and the Beast story seemed to be right up Numbuh Three's alley, seeing how she to that one robot rainbow monkey reject. Such a show of loyalty would mean a lot, and maybe he'd even tolerate watching her favorite girly shows. Like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=20BZID081Vk |

I think that could work, as long as you don't go overboard with the standard cliches that usually plague teh Beauty and The Beast plot.
Personally for me, I think Wally turning into a little werewolf would be a great idea for thsi kind of story for a few reasons:
1. It sort of fits his character
2. He wouldn't be too grotesque looking, but not too cute either
3. It would be a challenge for Kuki to be with Wally because of all the standard mythos that comes with being a werewolf
But I could defenitly see that happening in a story. Thinking about it now, I'm surprised they never went for that in the actual show.

Most Beauty and the Beast plots that go awry do so because they're wimpy about the themes they represent, that they don't sell the point about "inner beauty" or "beauty in the eye of the beholder" or what have you. The whole Pygmalion makeover trope has a big problem with this.
Another idea I have is that Kuki wins Wally over to her girly ways in some fashion. Like she makes him watch the Lucky Star anime opening theme over and over again, until Wally ends up secretly liking Lucky Star and can perform the Lucky Star dance perfectly. Mainly, I just think this would be funny.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, so romantic!!! I did a drawing as an homenage to the Beauty and the Beast in the KND version in my note book, numbuh 1 was Lumiere, 2 dingdong, 3 Beauty, 4 Beast, and 5 Mrs. Poff
Is on my notebook so I can´t show it, but it was very funny do it, and Wally looks like a combination between him and the Beast, oh and b/c the Beast is taller than she, he was standing in a bank.
Oh crud! I want to show it!!!

I'm thinking the "beast" form needs to be something KND-esque. Like, they don't have werewolves in KNd, they have were-poodles. Maybe the best route is to transform Numbuh Four into something that's at least a little bit cute, seeing how much he hates "cute."

Wer- poodle could probably work, I'd completely forgotten that that the KND universe doesn't have werewolves. But to be fair, I do go by teh mentality of 'anything can happen in this universe' when it comes to KND.
But yes! Making Wally somewhat cute, that would be the ULTIMATE torture in his eyes!
