I did. And then I realized how utterly creepy and wrong it all is. Now I'm just interested in it for the hot werewolves.

Ohoho.
I tried to read it in 8th grade, but it was so...stupid, so I stopped. Then, last year, I read the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd books because all my friends were into it and I wanted to know what they were talking about.
I've grown to dislike it so much, that now I love it. xD I make fun of it so much now.
And the wolves. It's all about the wolves .

I wouldn't know since I've never read any of the books or watched any of the movies, but my class mates talks about it all the time and they keep saying how romantic it is... Now romance is a genre I don't do even though I'm a hopeless romantic xD
I know for sure what I would prefer if I could choose between Vampire splatter movies (with dismembered body parts) or Vampire romance movies
The first one would be a winner in my eyes 8)

SO. In my class, you can do silly things to get an extension on your paper. And one of the ones I offered was to watch Twilight and write a poem for the class about how it makes me feel. And she liked that one, so I did.
So for your amusement, I'll share that poem here. I think it's beautiful.
This very plain girl, Isabella, is somehow winning every fella. And all of them she has refused, it makes me just a bit confused.
Then comes vampires in slow motion, and like some freakin’ weird love potion, our little Swan is sudden smitten even though she’s not yet been bitten.
There’s a terrible lack of chemistry, and lots of ‘awkward’ for all to see. The dialogue makes me want to cry, I cling to hope while the movie rolls by.
The sparkling bit just makes me sick, and Edward thinks he’s oh-so-slick. I’m not sure what it is I’m seeing, but I do know just how strange they’re being.
Of course the girl becomes blood-bait, and her killer doesn’t want to wait, but Super Edward saves the day! Geez, this movie’s so cliché.
This movie deceives us at first glance; it’s full of trash and bad romance. This girl just dreams of sucking blood! I can’t believe this sickening crud.
I guess I’ve made my opinion clear, so now I’ll be signing out of here. I’m going to go read an actual BOOK, and throw this trash in a fire to cook.
LOL.

I remember that I watch twilight by the force, I think that the book has a good idea, but I don´t know why I´m not interesting in that, but my best friend (who loves twilight) told me, "if you watch twilight with me, I´ll watch operation Z.E.R.O. with you" so I accept b/c she looked desesperate, now my opinion is...
that is a good book, but the movie was soo based on the book that was boring, the books gotta be slower than movies and I don´t know, I feel the movie slow. But is just the movie, the story, and the book is fine.

You know, I've heard about Twilight when I was in 9th grade, but it was like one or two people who were talking about it..then I learned they were making a movie about it when I was in tenth grade (last year) and soon half of my school's filled with the talk about the movie coming out.
One of my best friends told me about the series, she liked them but she hated how the trailer for the first movie was...it made her want to scream and punch something...lol.
Anyway I bought the book about a few months before the movie came out (it was on sale at the store for 5 bucks and I figured, why not?) However, it seemed okay...for the first two sentences..then after that it just went all....ick.
My other friend called them Twi-pires..since they don't even count as actual vamps...and we both agreed that Bella was a Mary-sue gone wrong.
Anyway, after I finished the book I was....well, I was very critical and yeah...I didn't even want to see the movie...but my mom begged me to watch it with her.
Then over the summer I was forced to watch it at camp...twice! (Funny how the camp is on a college campus and we're supposed to learn about College life to apply to them, things like that while also getting grades).
Although, the third time I watched it, when we were in one of the large IMAX theater halls...right when Edward showed Bella his sparkly-ness, I randomly yelled out loud,
"I do believe in fairies! I do, I do!" And the few people next to me couldn't help but laugh out loud.
So that's what I think of it...A mary-sue gone wrong who falls in love with a vampire-- er, Fairy.

Forgot to add:
Even though I haven't read the other 3 books that follow it, I already know the gist of everything they go through..and I just have this to say:
How can a 107 year-old vampire knock up a human...okay, well, let me explain it better. In the books (from what I've read), Stephanie explains that the vampires are dead and they can't age anymore...they're literally frozen in time and dead. That's why one of the characters..or two: Rosalie and Esme can't have little sparkle-babies of their own...it would involve time which is the main thing in pregnancy.
So, if Edward's technically dead and is stopped in time, how can his little Vampire-sperm swim into Bella's belly and magically make the next living/unliving mary-sue known to earth? Think about it, the normal life of a sperm is 3 days...Edward's been dead for a century. If it was with another Vampire, I can see it happening since their immortality magic cancels eachother out (but Stephanie Meyer doesn't want it that way.)
And here's another thing: Wouldn't 'sleeping' with Edward make Bella a Nacrophile? :333...lol...okay, and goodnight!

The Vampire Diaries wins more... "How come you don't sparkle?" "Why? Because this is the real world and in the real world vampires burn in the sun."
