Guys, I'm doing a persuavsive speech on Codename: Kids Next Door why it's a great cartoon for kids, teens, heck even very few adults to watch.
But my dad says it isn't a good idea and a while ago I was getting out a box of notecards and he saw it and grinned, saying, "What are you doing for your speech?" I didn't reply and looked back at him, and he said.
"(sigh) They're all going to make fun of you!" And turned back to the computer screen.
Should I:
A) Go for the gold, writing KND into a speech and not caring what the others think!
or
B) Do another speech to save myself.
I'm going for A. Because I don't care what other people think. I needed to let this out, because the speech is focused on something you care about. Which is Kids Next Door.

KIDS NEXT DOOR FOREVER!
DO IT! DO IT!
If they did public speeches at my school, I would probably do one on how cartoons are good for kids and stuff, and kids next door shows kids how they actually DO have the power to stand up against adults, and how they don't rule everything, and stuff.
Your dad is an adult, he won't understand. ^_~

You know my take on it already. ^^ I mean, if a cartoon has had fans for 5 years and 6 seasons, there's obviously something appealing about it. It becomes one of those classic cartoons. ^^ Plus, school is supposed to be fun; and sometimes you have to make it fun by doing something you love! So I say go for it! Who knows, you may recruit some more KND fans in the process... ^^*giggles*

@wg Well, I think I might have already with my fanart. ^^ But I want to do this speech so bad and express my opinions on for teenagers to watch it more, which is about friendship, teamwork, and humor! Because... Mr. Warburton taught us to not grow up so quickly, to be a kid and stay young; that was his message for us in the end.

And if those new Kids Next Door fans decide to join the Courting Commanders, the Panda Warriors, or both, Allie, Wallysgirl, and flirtykuki101... even better for all of you here.

I'm not gonna lie, people will probably make fun of you, but just tell them to go jump into a river.
I say it's a fabulous idea go for it if that's what you want to do. I congragulate you (I doubt I would have that kind of courage). You know I would also send a copy of your speech to Mr. W, I'm sure he'd feel honored.

Yeah, but only if the speech is actually any good. Don't send him a rubbish speech. XD Not that you would or anything.

Actually, a person in my class that KND was stupid and I told him I'd kick his butt. XD But that's just Blake Powl talking. He's an idiot. And thank you! ... I've actually thought of sending a copy to Mr. Warburton, but I might as well scan in my notecards.

Like everybody else, I think you should do it. And if you don't care what other people think, then why not? I would love to have a chance to do something like that, but I would be too scared of being made fun of.
