For his response, Lunira might've guessed that two things would occur. One, that he'd probably turn even more purple...and the other, well, she quickly shut her eyes for a good reason. After his antennae had dimmed a little, she opened her eyes again, only to see that he was now looking at her.
"How did you know that??"
"Well, it--."
"Err... I mean, err..." Lunira tilted her head to the side, trying to understand his speech as it was becoming a little hard to understand. It seemed like one minute he'd give her one answer, and the next one would contradict it. Not only that, at one point he'd looked scared and then the next, very confident. Was she making him feel awkard.
She was thinking about getting up to let him finish his comic until his last answer, which came out all smooshed together, had caught her attention.
"Wouyouliket'got'th'dancewihme?"
Pink fur replaced the snow white fur on her cheeks. For the moment, she was a little glad that his eyes were shut so he wouldn't see her surprised expression, but what she said might've made him open one.
"What?" She asked softly, a small smile appearing on her lips.
"Mr Smooth here is wondering if you want to go to the dance with him." Lunira looked up, and looked around Nebulos to now see Ynda standing there, a grin was plastered on her face.
Her answer only did two things: widen Lunira's smile...and make her turn even pinker.
However, it looked like Nebulos didn't appreciate the comment, as he quickly turned around with a whine. Lunira giggled at this. Ynda probably meant well, and maybe she'll have to do something nice for her later on.
As the green girl went on, Lunira looked towards Nebulos, who now seemed to try to escape within his own eye-lids. Either that, or curl up into a ball and look away from the two girls.
"What? I was just repeating what you said, only more clear. Don't worry so much. Besides, she'll say yes anyway. Won't you?"
This time, Lunira gave an answer, and said it twice as she looked from Ynda to Nebulos. "Of course...I mean, yes." -------------------------------------

Suddenly, surprising Etoile and forcing him to move suddenly, Nalo sat up, retracting the thin tendrils which she had attached to him earlier. Levitating a short distance above the yellow alien, she stretched, apparently sick of being still. Truth be told, she had been watching the events between Tala and Masurao for a while now, and before that, thinking about the way they danced on her own planet. Either way, she wasn't going to be sleeping anytime soon, but she did feel somewhat rejuvenated. Glancing around, she located a pen and some paper, and pulled both of them over and, remaining in her sitting position in midair, she scrawled something on the paper before showing it to Etoile. (Note: one Chiz, two Chizn. Chiz is her species, Chizn is the plural word. XD; )"You know, Chizn actually do leak from their eyes sometimes," was the comment written in the purple ink of the pen she'd retrieved, although why she was making such a remark was unclear. Maybe she was just trying to make light of the situation, who knew. But it was true; her species produced tears incredibly easily, sometimes without any provocation at all. Chizn tears was also tinted with colour depending on the cause; blue tears could be produced at will, and were more likely to occur without warning, as they occured when they blinked as well; yellow tears were produced due to emotional matters; green tears meant the alien was in pain. A lot of this was common knowledge amongst the other aliens by now, since at one point or another Nalo would've had to explain it, or point out the relevant section in her factfile. But she hadn't needed to use the factfile for a long time. (Okay I forgot where I left Vibe so I hope I'm quoting the right bit: ) At Vibe’s agreement to attend the dance with him, Unagi smiled softly, relieved that he still had the affections of the cold girl. Before he could talk, he was caught off guard by her hug, uttering an unintentional “Oh,” in the process. After regaining his composure, he allowed his bright tail wrap around her as he pulled her into a quick kiss. “Good morning to you too,” he replied, regaining his confidence quickly. Vibe giggled softly without opening her mouth, a playful smile still slanted across her features. Her own tail, now thicker and stronger than it was when they were kids, wrapped around his waist and held the fish boy close. Since the pair were so wrapped up with each other, they didn't particularly notice Tala and her episode, although Vibe did pick up on the negative wave of emotion and glanced that way at one point or another. Cyril, still seated on the back of that couch, had found something sparkly between the cusions which resembled a jewel encrusted yo-yo, and he was having a lot of fun amusing himself by rolling it back and forth in his wings and watching it sparkle as the light reflected off it. "Hehehehe!" he giggled happily, thoroughly enjoying himself, and oblivious to his surroundings. A gigantic meteorite could crash through the wall and he probably wouldn't notice, unless it was shiny.

Ynda's grin faded for a smile at the sound of Lunira's answer. She'd expected nothing else, but she was content to know she was right. She looked back at Nebulos, for the first time actually sending him a reassuring look. She hoped he'd be alright after having his question answered.
"See? There's nothing to worry about. I'll leave you lovebirds alone now."
Ynda tapped Nebulos's shoulder once more and flashed a quick grin before she turned away, moving back to the couch she'd sat on with Cyril. Finding the bird was still there, now amusing himself with a yo-yo, she went to sit beside him. She couldn't help but smile at how cute her bird friend looked, even when he displayed such small gestures.
"Hey," she softly poked his cheek. "You never answered my question."

A loud squawk escaped Cyril's throat when he was poked; a typical, loud response from the bird-brain. He stared at the familiar green alien with eyes narrowed in concentration, then carefully asked "Which question? I forgot." He could only hope that Ynda wasn't going to hurt him for forgetting what she asked, as he continued fiddling absentmindedly with the sparkly object he'd found.

Ynda, not at all planning on hurting him, simply lowered her head and lay a paw on her forehead. She should've known he'd forget, being the bird-brain he was. She exhaled a small sigh before she looked at him again.
"I asked... if you'd like to dance... You know, with me..." Having to repeat her question made her a bit more timid, which included a blush to appear on her cheeks. When she was done, she quickly looked away again. Why did she seem so fond of dancing with Cyril, anyway?

Cyril blinked. "Ohhhh!" he exclaimed in realisation, understanding the question completely now he knew what it was. "Of course I'll dance you with, Ynda! You're like my bestest friend, I couldn't not dance with you!" he agreed enthusiastically, wrapping his wings around her in a hug, the sparkly object falling from his grip and dropping back onto the couch. Releasing her from the embrace and pulling back a little to look at her, a smile on his beak, he inquired "Won't there be lots of other guys wanting to dance with you, though?" Sure, Ynda could be mean, but that didn't mean she wasn't well-liked and popular, surely quite a few people would jump at the chance to have a spin around the dancefloor with her.

Ynda was just about to predict Cyril's answer in thought, and started scolding herself for asking him to dance in the first place. Of course he wouldn't agree, she was a mean and rude girl after a--
Then she was suddenly pulled into a hug and heard the answer she didn't expect, yet had eagerly hoped for. Her eyes went wide as his wings around her made her feel warm, the feeling calming her down some.
"R-really...?" was all she muttered. Thankfully, she placed her own paws on his back and hugged him until he pulled away. Her blush had increased due to his embrace, and it increased even more when he asked her that question.
"What...?" she said, blinking her eyes in confusion. Not knowing exactly where to look, she gazed down at her own feet. "No, of course not," she answered as if it was obvious. "You're the only one who wants to so far." And only that amazed her already. She hadn't expected him to actually want to dance with her.

"Baww, really?" Cyril seemed genuinely disappointed that Ynda didn't have other people to dance with that night. "Well you gotta dance with Dekki, right?" he asked, knowing those two were at least kinda like friends some of the time. "And I'm sure you'll get a dance from some other people! What about Etoile? He's nice! Or Nalo! No wait I want to dance with Nalo..."
A thoughtful expression settled onto his face as he listed off other aliens she could dance with, half of which were female aliens. But hey, they were suggestions, and as a guy he wanted to dance with girls, so why shouldn't Ynda? He was only trying to help.

Ynda bit her lip when Dengeki was mentioned and shyly looked in his direction for a moment. Of course she wanted to dance with him too, but she didn't at all think he was the type to even want to attend a dance, let alone dance with someone like her.
She looked back at Cyril as he started to list other aliens and smiled slightly at his silliness. She didn't mind dancing with some of the aliens he mentioned, but she really did doubt they'd want to themselves.
"Thanks, Pigeon," she said eventually, appreciating his help. "I suppose I could dance with all of them, but... I'll stick with you at first." She sent him a sheepish smile. "Since you're the only one I'm sure that actually wants to."

Cyril made a very happy expression. "Of course I want tooo! And anyone who doesn't want to is stupid," he added defiantly, folding his wings with a matter-of-fact-ly nod. "We'll have a great time, I'm sure!" His wings shot out again to emphasise his exclaimation, making him briefly appear somewhat larger than he normally was from his feathers ruffling on end.

Ynda was still amazed he was this enthuastiac about dancing with her, but his cheerful attitude distracted her from that confusion. She watched him spread his wings and pulled a small, playful grin.
"Yeah, as long as you don't step on my feet," she pointed out with a soft poke in his stomach.

"What? I was just repeating what you said, only more clear. Don't worry so much. Besides, she'll say yes anyway. Won't you?"
Nebulos wished he'd put his hood on. That way, he'd make sure to draw it all the way over his head, so that he couldn't see anyone and -perhaps even more importantly- no one could see him and his blushing face. But he figured he was behaving rather silly already and he certainly didn't need any more of it. He knew his sister-like friend was only trying to help, and he appreciated it. But right now he'd rather sink through the floor instead. He, too, hadn't noticed the small dramatic scene that had unfolded in the room not long ago, mainly due the fact he'd covered his eyes with his hands, struggling with the embarrassment, which he deemed silly too, but couldn't escape from it nonetheless. He was making such an inner fuss he barely caught his Lunira's reply. "Of course...I mean, yes."
Nebulos shifted two fingers and his eyes peeked out between them. He blinked once, then turned to face the panda-like girl on his left, his hands still there, but not seeming to realize that they were.
"See? There's nothing to worry about. I'll leave you lovebirds alone now." A gentle tap was left on his shoulder, which made Nebulos drop his hands. He turned around, catching the green girl's beaming face, which had a kindness on it only reserved for some. He still looked a little flustered and he would've liked to smile back at her, but as he still hadn't overcome the befuddlement, he failed to do so. "You...You will?" he said, turning back to his Ursaminorian friend, after he had taken a few seconds to see Ynda leave. He was still so flabbergast that he seemed to forget he was supposed to be nervous. His white eyes blinked a few times as he watched her, sitting there, smiling prettily and blushing faintly. Noticing this, a fresh layer of blush rushed up to meet his own cheeks and he quickly glanced down. "That's, uhh..." He struggled to find a word to follow, blinking his eyes a few times more to get his thoughts straight. And that's when it seemed that the source of the conversation got through to him at last. "That's... That's great, really." The blue teen said, raising his head to look at hers once again. A little smile had now curled onto his blushing face, overall making him look rather adorable. "...Real great."
He looked away again, resting back against the sofa, but the smile not leaving, but increasing instead. He sat there for a minute, as if he seemed unsure of what to do. He cast another fleeting look at his companion, then cleared his throat in a meant-to-be-but-actually-not-so-casual manner, reaching out one of his many hands and resting it on top of Lunira's paw. Nebulos blushed a little more and kept staring at the wall, gently squeezing the soft hand under his. He poked his feet together shyly, looking at them as if it were the most interesting thing he had seen all day. His nerves slowly beginning to fade away, he managed to overhear parts of the conversation Cyril and Ynda were having. A soft chuckle escaped him as he heard them talk, his hand squeezing Lunira's a bit tighter.
"Save one dance for me, though!" he called out to the other couple of Squirts, assuming that they knew he was addressing Ynda. He peeked over at them, catching Ynda's pink eye with his white one, flashing her a broad and thankful smile. He then looked out in front of him again, his feet still bumping together meekly, but looking genuinely happy all the same.

The red-haired boy seemed to be a little staggered at his inquiry. Masurao couldn't blame him and couldn't help but share in the awkwardness that now lingered in that area of the room, like some kind of invisible mist. The composed guard looked to the side instead, relieving Etoile from his bright green stare, lifting an eyebrow as if he was pondering if he had done the right thing by turning to his friend's brother. He couldn't see the harm in it, but he wouldn't have minded if it was a little less uncomfortable. And Etoile probably shared similar thoughts. "Talk. . ." he said after a moment of thought. Masurao glanced back at him, not immediately reacting. It was almost ironic that the solution lay in the thing the bodyguard did the least. He uttered a soft sigh through his nose, though hardly audible. "She. . . likes to pretend that she doesn't need to..." Etoile continued, "But talking's what will help her the most, if that's what you mean."
The wolfboy didn't elaborate on the fact that that was possibly what he had meant indeed. He'd leave it up to the others to form an idea about that. Etoile then ensued by reassuring that she'd be probably alright and that he didn't have to take any action if he didn't feel up to it. He was slightly surprised that Etoile had assumed that Masurao had referred to himself when he wondered if Tala wanted to talk or not, especially since talking was one of the things he was seen doing least. In front of a lot of people anyway. But, admittedly, he must've given it away somehow, he thought, which made him frown a little, which didn't help to ease the mild embarrassment.
"She's probably going somewhere that's high in the air."
His green eyes turned back to look at the Telarian boy, both eyebrows now slightly lifted. It was almost as if he had been given some kind of cryptic permission. For all he knew, Etoile might not have liked the idea of such an unreadable character as himself to go after his younger sibling. But it seemed not. There was little time to interact any further, as Nalo suddenly floated off Etoile's lap, causing a distraction. Masurao took this as a cue, not wanting to disrupt the couple in their peace any longer. He cast a glance at Nalo, as she left to retrieve paper and pencil and then looked over at the boy in the armchair once again. "Thank you." he voiced clearly, putting a fist to his chest in his trademark fashion.
The wolf-like alien then continued on, making way for the door. The professional part of his brain was already running through possible locations which found themselves on levels higher than others. He already had quite a few on his mental list, as he was a fan of heights himself. The problem was that there were a lot of possible settings. Masurao closed the door behind him with a calculated and almost graceful move and then found himself standing on the -unsurprisingly- abandoned corridor. He glanced from left to right, as if he were checking for ongoing traffic while waiting to cross. The solution to which direction to pick was quite evident. If one sense didn't work -the vision in this case- then rely on the others. Like scent.
The guard twitched his pinkish nose slightly, stood there for a minute, considering, and then turned to the left. It was part common instinct he had to rely on, as practically the entire team ran through this hallway a few times a day, leaving their trail of scent just as much as any other. He didn't run and didn't saunter. His paces were smooth and swift, making no noise as he had left his feet un-booted today. Wandering here gave Masurao a little bit of private time, which he often used to contemplate on things. Ordinary things, or more important things. And this day, Masurao came to the conclusion that he had spend most of his years living here on base running after girls. In the literal sense of the meaning. He had come to this diagnosis upon realizing he still needed to find out where Niji had gone off too. And now he was looking for another girl, one he wasn't even supposed to check on, but doing so voluntarily. He was quite certain that his own little sister would be laughing very hard at the idea.
Admittedly, he had grown to like both of the girls over the years, which made his actions become less of a task, more a second nature to make sure they were alright. And happy. He'd never said any of these things out loud, but he liked to think that they both knew this, without having to question him about it. So today, he figured, uttering a soft sigh, was not so very different from another.

Ynda was distracted when she heard her brother-like friend's voice and turned her head towards him. She was glad to see his thankful smile, preferring him the cheerful way he usually was.
With a blush and a just as grateful smile, she replied: "Will do!" She waved at him for a moment, and then turned back to Cyril. "Okay fine, there are two aliens now," she said quickly before he could point out anything about other aliens wanting to dance with her as well.

Noticing Nebulos's comment and Ynda's response, Cyril became very happy once again. "Yaay! You deserve to dance with lots of people!" he squawked, hugging her briefly again, then flapping off the couch and over to Nebulos to quickly hug him, too. "Thank you for making Ynda happy!!" he chirped, before taking off into the air again to fly around in circles and generally be an airborne nuisance.

Ynda exhaled a small sound in surprise when she was suddenly hugged again, but she didn't have time to hug back this time. She watched Cyril zoom over to Nebulos and thank him for her sake. Again, she found it hard to believe he cared that much about her happiness, but that fact itself only made her happier.
Ynda continued to watch him as he flew randomly through the room, smiling. "No, thank you," she whispered. She then turned back to her normal assertive self and put two fingers in her mouth, whistling to Cyril. "Hey, Pigeon! You're supposed to take me with you!" She loved to fly after all, and if she had a chance to, she'd take it.
