Neon pulled out a multicolored lollipop from his pocket, "Here, Nellie!" He held it out to her so that she could take it, "I know how much you like this flavor. I saved this one for you." He smiled brightly. "Maybe if we ask Nali super nicely, she could give us more lollipops." He suggested eagerly, turning to look at his sister attempting to make friends with the other kids. (Short post is so, so short. ^^

(Aw, this one is dying. *gently shakes thread* Maybe we could do a time-skip? Have the kiddies interact without their parents or maybe have them go on their first mission or something? ^^ Just throwing things out there. ^___^)

(Yeah, I know how that is. School has been eating up my time, but today is a snow day. 12-18 inches of the stuff. XD I'll try to post something.) Neon sat in front of the wide screened television of Sector SUN's living quarters with a bowl of cereal in his lap and an eager smile. He quickly grabbed the remote control and turned on the TV flicking the channel's until he got to the one he desired and he enthusiastically began to watch the cartoon character as he flew through space heroically. A few moments later Nali came floating in, dressed in purple pajama pants and a sleeping shirt, she rubbed her eyes sleepily, and ran her fingers through her thick pastel colored hair. She leaned tiredly against the doorway, "N-neon? What are you doing up?" She said stifling a yawn. The little boy didn't even bother looking up at her, "Cartoons." He said, too engrossed with the program to say anything else. Nali looked at the television, "...This early?" She whispered, turning her attention toward the window, the sun hadn't begun to rise yet. Neon nodded, still not sparing his sister a small glance, "Uh-huh. Now shush up, this is my favorite part!" He waved her off excitedly as the heroic figure on screen prepared to battle what looked like to be an evil villain. "He's so cool...Right Nali?" The five year old gushed. Nali rolled her eyes with a tired smile, "Sure kiddo, whatever you say..." She floated over to the boy to gently pat his head, before moving toward the couch and flopping down on it. "Just try to keep the noise down, the others are most likely sleeping." Her golden eyes shifted to the doorway before stretching out on the couch. She closed her eyes, only meaning to rest them for a bit, but the soft sounds of the television combined with the early morning, lulled the half-human Princess to sleep once again. ---------------- (I hope that was alright. ^^; Now, I must go study for her Math exam for tomorrow. *runs off*)

Tossing and turning in bed, Aaron struggled to stay asleep. It was too early for him to be getting up and he knew that if he did, there would be nothing to do anyway. Not wanting to be forced into his day of boredom, he took his pillow and placed it over his head, blocking out the rest of the world as he attempted to resume his rest.
A few minutes passed and the distraught boy switched positions yet again, now lying on his back with the pillow still over his face. The blankets that had previously covered him were now thrust onto the floor, exposing his bare chest and plaid sweatpants covering his legs. A long sigh escaped his lips as he lie there, contemplating whether to finally get up or not. Another minute passed, and the boy began to slowly sit up, tousling his hair as he did so in a feeble attempt to get rid of the bed head he had accumulated during the night.
Stretching, Aaron pushed himself off his bed, staggering to the bathroom. Once there, he brushed back his messy hair with his fingers, exposing his mismatched eyes. He let out another sigh and allowed his hair to fall back into his face, covering both eyes. Not bothering to sweep it over one eye as his usual hairstyle, he began to lazily make his way out of his bathroom, across his bedroom and out the door.
As the boy approached the cafeteria, he scanned the room for familiar faces, only to be greeted by the bright purple eyes of Erin. His sister looped an arm around his and led him to the table where she and a few other aliens had clustered, all eating their breakfasts.
“At least have some decency to put on a shirt when you get up” The boy’s unseen eyes shifted over to the source of the voice, belonging to his other sister.
“C’mon, he has to fanservice his fangirls” Erin’s comment was followed by a glance to the three girls discreetly staring at her brother from across the room. “And he totally looks like Dad right now.” The two girls stifled a giggle.

The tip of the silver spoon poked lightly at the gray mush that was sitting in her bowl, and the sigh that followed was nothing short of disgusted. Absolutely, utterly repulsed.
You'd think, in a magnificent cafeteria such as this, that they would serve a breakfast that was better than lumpy, tasteless mush.
But the blonde girl that was seated in front of the bowl was not one to complain, nor to voice any concerns over something as insignificant as mush. No, Soare had no disposition to whine about it, no matter how disgusted she felt watching it float around in her bowl. Instead, she forced a smile on her face and stirred it a bit more, delaying the moment when mush would meet mouth, until finally she was able to muster enough will to bring the spoon to her mouth.
Ick. Tasteless as usual.
Reaching forward, the girl picked up a bottle of honey. She really should have just reached for it in the first place - Soare had a habit of adding honey to anything that could stand to be a little sweeter, and every time the mush was served, she decorated it with spoonful upon spoonful of honey until it was edible. Hardly the healthiest breakfast, but fulfilling.
"Oops." A little sound from her throat pierced the air around her as she got some of the honey on her fingers. Hoping that no one around her had noticed, she brought a finger to her mouth and tried to cleanse her hand of the sticky mess, when a very sleepy, very shirtless Aaron made his way into the cafeteria.
The girl froze, violet coloring her cheeks like an explosion of fireworks, and sat still for a few long moments with her finger in her mouth. Until she realized she was staring, upon which the girl immediately yanked her eyes away and picked up her spoon with her still-sticky fingers, stuffing a mouthful of the food into her mouth before she had even thought about it. Hasty eating was not the best cover-up, but it was the best she had.
Swallowing the immense mouthful, she further distracted herself by turning to Koyu, who had hopefully been unobservant of the whole scenario in general. "So, uhm, do you have anything to do today?" She had no idea what she would follow that question with, but it would hopefully keep her busy until the violet on her cheeks ebbed away.

It was almost as if Koyu had no tastebuds and hadn't eaten for weeks, as the tasteless slop in her bowl was being rapidly shovelled down her throat. Any food was good food, and she needed to keep her energy up if she was to be on top form like usual. Something a bit more nutritious wouldn't go amiss, but a bowlful of this lumpy concoction would do just fine.
Glancing at her sister as she spoke, she noticed the violet flush flaring like a flag on her cheeks, but didn't mark is as suspicious; it would be more unusual if there was no colour present in the girl's cheeks. Listening to her question as she swallowed a particularly large mouthful of her breakfast, she licked her lips in a less than ladylike way before replying.
"Nothing I have to do, per say, but I've got a few things down on the ol' agenda that I'd like to get done," she informed the blonde girl, smiling wickedly before lifting her bowl to pour the remaining watery substance left in the bottom of the dish down her throat, the tip of her tail waving back and forth absentmindedly below her seat.
On the other side of the room, the half dressed boy resisted the urge to lash out his hand at one or both of his sisters, and resolved to just focus on finding his breakfast and getting out of the crowded cafeteria as quickly as possible. He should've stayed in bed a bit longer to avoid the crush, but he was here now and there was nothing more he could do.
The girls were settling back down to continue with their own breakfasts, jabbering about something unimportant with the other occupants of the table, and although reluctant he perched on a seat at the end of the table, and cast an uninterested glance around the room.

EDIT: I have no idea why I wrote "On the far end of the train a particularly green boy sat." Train? D:
- - -
On the far end of the table a particularly green boy sat in front of rather large pile of food that would easily feed a four member family for two days. Various pastries, bowls, muffins, fruits and other unidentifiable foods were stacked upon one another and were easily devoured, one by one. As one item was stuffed in his mouth, another hand reached out to grab another in a fashion that showed the boy might be concerned that it would slip away if he didn't grab hold of it in time. As familiar faces filed in, Blaidd would acknowledge their presence with a muffled greeting or a welcoming snort, as these were the only sounds he was able to produce with his puffed cheeks. He chewed hurriedly, surprisingly not making a complete mess of the table as he ate, which probably meant he'd prefer most of the food in his stomach and not crumbled somewhere on the table.
"I fur hofe we'f gawf fo fo fomefing efitin' foway." he added to his cousin's explanation as she revealed her plan for that day, while the boy himself stirred a chocolate muffin in a bowl of mustard. It was quite remarkable if anyone had been able to make out anything of what he said, but then again, Blaidd himself only seemed half-concentrated on the conversation as his firey eyes kept glancing over to the pile in front of him, checking if all the food was still there where he had left it. one who would enter the room might not even spot him there, as the pile of treats was concealing him from view.

Nali awoke for the second time that morning. She sat up on the sofa, and realized that the sun was shining brightly through the window, basking the room in a warm morning glow. She turned her head to cast her gaze on the floor where she remembered her little brother sitting only to find that he was no longer there. He must have gone to get some breakfast. Nali concluded, patting her stomach, she couldn't ignore the fact that she was also hungry. So without another thought, the brown skinned girl floated off the couch and toward the cafeteria where she knew her friends were already eating. ---
Neon happily munched on his third bowl of Astro-munchies cereal swinging his legs happily underneath the bench. His eyes every so often glancing toward the older kids seated at the table with him. He tried to pay attention to the conversations the older kids near him were having, but then just as quickly lost interest. His magenta gaze then shifted to Blaidd, the green furred alien consumed his food as if he thought it would sprout legs and walk away from him. This was something, the rambunctious five year old deemed cool and decided to imitate. The black haired boy took a sprinkled pop tart and stuff the entire pastry into his mouth. "Mmm!"
"Good Morning..." A familiar voice greeted softly. Neon looked up and saw Nali taking a seat on the other end of the table, "I hope everyone slept well..." She said before dipping her spoon in her creamy purple porridge and taking a bite, and swallowed it.

As the others were eating at the table, a certain small blue and white furred alien was sitting directly on the table top. She kept waving to every person who walked in, though after a while her hands were getting tired, so she just smiled. In front of her, a small bowl of....something, sat in front of her, though it looked as though it hadn't been eaten, or moved at all. It looked a little questionable, as if it might taste good or bad, she wasn't very sure.
Glancing over, her eyes widened seeing Blaidd eat pretty much what she considered more than enough for one person. And at the same time, there was...mustard on his muffins? She shook her head, wondering if the combination would be tasty or not, but decided on the latter.
When Nali came in, Nellie waved at her. "Morning!" Turning back to her bowl, she decided at least try it, though it seemed it took years for the spoon to meet her mouth.
". . . .huh. "
Her bolts brightened a little, glad that the...whatever it was, didn't taste so bad, so she took another spoonful. Bit by bit, the breakfast was entering her mouth and into her stomach as she listened to the other's conversations.
Somewhat responding to Soare's question, though it might've been directed towards her sister, Nellie asked, "I'm not sure if there's a mission today or not. Is there?"

At the sound of Nellie's question Nali nodded her head quickly taking the spoon out of her mouth. "Oh, yes, we do have a mission today." She said, taking her purple device out and tapping a few buttons. "There have been rumors spreading around that a group of bad teenagers have been building a top secret doomsday machine on a huge asteroid base not too far away from Jupiter. "
Neon had been eagerly listening from across the table, "Oooh, a Doomsday device?" He asked. "What does it do, does it do something cool? Huh, huh?"
Nali shrugged. "No one really knows what it's supposed to do, but I doubt it's anything cool." She said shaking her head, still tapping buttons on her purple hand-held machine. After pressing the last button Nali laid the device down on the center of the table, where her device's small screen projected a hologram of the base large enough for everyone to see. "This is what the base looks like." She pointed to the rather large oddly shaped building "Sector PDQ managed to get close enough to the base to take these images. As you guys can see, the base is quite large and it's heavily guarded. Our mission is to stop the adults and disable and destroy the machine before it's activated." She nodded seriously.

The glinting surfaces of the eyes turned away from the device, looking anywhere but at it. She didn't want to see the headquarters, see the device pointing the horrific picture in the air, see the edges of the dangerous building. Instead, her eyes turned back to her bowl of slop, and she picked up her spoon before remembering that her fingers were still a bit sticky. Switching the spoon to her other hand, she went back to her slop with ease, trying to get the honeyed mess down her throat.
When she finally made the attempt to speak, her voice came out airy, whispery and soft and probably unnoticed by most. "Are we all going?"
A small piece of her still hoped that she wasn't assigned to this mission, and that she could shut herself in a room and practice her e'aif with no interruptions. But that probably wouldn't be the case, and the girl's frame slumped slightly in her seat, obviously not looking forward to the mission although she would do her best to perform well anyway.
Her free hand was already rubbing anxiously at her upper arm, gently stroking the thumb over the surface of her shirt in her usual nervous habit, as she awaited the confirmation with a masked expression.

[[Fun fact - Soare is ambidextrous! For anyone who doesn't know what that means, it means that Soare can use her left and right hands equally well and naturally. She normally prefers using her left, though. X3]]

Nali turned her hazel lenses away from the hologram to look at Soare. In the short time they were here, she did not know much about her except the painfully obvious: She was very shy. Nali gave blond girl a sympathetic smile. "Well, this mission is very important." She said softly, after a moments consideration. "And I think we need everyone's help if we want to accomplish it successfully. " Her shoulders dropped a bit, "But if you are truly uncomfortable Soare..." She let the sentence hang there for a moment and shrugged a bit, not knowing what else she could say to the girl that would ease her worries.
Neon who was practically on top of the table reached over to gently poke Soare's arm, "I think what Nali's trying to say is that you could stay behind if you wanna, but you should come because you're important to the team too." He nodded and looked down slightly. "Yeah, you're important." The five year old gazed back up at the quiet older girl.
