I think this game has only come out of beta recently according to my brother, so it's sort of kind of new maybe? Either way I made an account today because his girlfriend demanded that we try the game and it's really fun~
You play as a wizard in some magical realm and you cast spells with wands and a deck of cards. You can do quests, fight things, buy stuff to personalise your avatar (including pets! *wants a firecat*), fight against other players and make friends with other player (players over 13 can use a chat system where you can type what you want to say; under thirteen year olds need to either get parents permission or use the drop down menu of phrases. 13 and overs can use the drop down menus also.)
It's loads of fun (although I'm really bad 'cause I'm a newb) and although it's quite buggy the graphics and fight scenes are amazing and I strongly recommend this game to people who like graphic multiplayer games and wizards and magic and stuff.
For the name, you have to choose a combination of names/words from drop down lists, and my character's name is Roslyn Deathrider! It took me ages to combine the perfect gothic surname. :3
This is one of those games where you can subscribe for free but need to pay to get ALL of the perks. You also have to download stuff in order to play it.
If you google "Wizard101" then you'll find a link about it.
