Chapter 1 part 1-5 a think lol
6 years in the future......
"Keep running guys there circling us in" yelled a voice
"Theres too many of them we...we cant out run them forever" said a second dejected voice
"We have to try....the world is counting on us" came a third voice
"THERE, we'll hide behind that burnt out car" commanded the first voice
"WHAT, are you kidding we'll be sittin ducks there" said the second voice
“Well first off were not ducks and second what are you planning on doing, sitting out in the open, am sure we wont be sitting ducks there” said the first voice sarcasticly
“WHAT!? that’s just stupid a didn’t mean ducks litteraly, and second you just said we weren’t ducks then said we would be sitting ducks out in the open genius” said the second voice frustrated
“Eh….well..” stammered the first voice
“Oh Would you two knock it off” complained the third voice
“Whatever” they both said
The three teenagers ran through the barren landscape of the destroyed future, getting ever closer to the car. All of a sudden shots began thundering out behind them. They began ducking and dodging the lasers as best as they could
“Aw CRUD!! There closer than I thought” the first voice said in terror
“Just keep runnin were almost there” yelled the second voice
The laser blasts were coming faster and more frequent as the three teens tried there best to keep avoiding them until “AAAAAH MY ARM!!!!” Screamed the third voice in pain as she fell to the ground
“KUKI!!!” cried the first voice
Both boys stopped and ran back to their fallen operative “KUKI, KUKI, are you aohright, speak to me” continued the first voice tears begging to form in his eyes. He picked her up and cradled her in his arms only to find blood oozing out her left arm. She had taken a direct hit and it didn’t look good.
“Kuki…kuki…please be ok please….a cant live without you” sobbed the first voice tears streaming down his face
She began to stir in his arms.
“w..wa..wally” she croaked
“KUKI thank god a thought a had lost ya” cried Wally as a smile of joy crept back onto his face. He pulled her into a tight embrace forgetting about her arm for a second.
“Aaah Wally” winced Kuki
“Sorry sorry Kuki am just so…”
“Hey guys sorry to break up this moment yous are having but WE ARE BEIN ATTACKED” screamed the second voice
“Crud” yelled wally as he picked up Kuki bridal style
“Wally get yourself and Kuki to that car as quickly as possible, ill hold them off here until yous get a good lead on me, ill meet you guys there, ok” commanded the second voice
“Are you nuts numbuh 25” cried Wally “they ll be here any second now”
“Well why are you standing here wastin time, GO!! And take this med kit with you” yelled numbuh” 25 as he handed over the kit
Wally took the kit from numbuh 25 and gave him a last look before running for the car. Numbuh 25 turned and faced the army fast approaching him and glanced at the watch on his arm.
“You’ve got Thirty seconds numbuh 4, make them count” thought numbuh 25 to himself as he opened fire.
Wally raced across the barren land until he reached a slope. He gently slid down the slope being carefully not to aggravate Kuki’s injuries any further. Once down he placed Kuki down gently against the car and began rummaging about in the med kit.
“Aha here it is” said Wally as he pulled out some antiseptic “ now Kuki am sorry but this is goin..”, “to hurt a little” she interupted “I am a trained nurse Wally” she weakly grinned.
“yeah..heh..heh..” stammered Wally “just eh..”
“its ok Wally, I know its just because you care” she smiled. Wally smiled and began pouring some of the antiseptic on a cloth “ok well brace yourself” warned Wally as he began to place the cloth on Kuki’s injured arm.
“AAAAh” cried Kuki as her hand shot down and grabbed hold of Wally’s. Wally instantly began blushing as her hand squeezed his, but then as he continued massaging the wound with the cloth her grip became stronger and stronger until “AAAAAH KUKI ARE YA TRYING TO BREAK MA HAND” cried Wally.
“Sorry” blushed Kuki as she removed her hand.
“AH a think tha hurt me more than it hurt you” joked Wally as he look at his crushed fingers. Kuki just watched him hold his hand and giggled
Wally then pulled out some bandages and began rapping her arm until the wound was sealed.
“Thanks Wally” said kuki
“No prob as long as your feeling better now” smiled Wally
“Yeah I am thanks” said kuki as she leant over and pecked Wally on the cheek turning the boy into tomato face again.
Kuki just smiled at the boys reaction until she actually looked around and thought “hey wheres numbuh 25”
Wall snapped back into reality staring at Kuki he then looked back over the way they had come. He could here the shots of the army approaching but more numourous and closer than before. He could feel the doubt for ever seeing numbuh 25 again let alone how he and Kuki could possible escape. His head began to fall and his recent smile fell into a depressed frown.
“Wally you didn’t awnser me where is he, he..he is alright isn’t he” Kuki asked worried
Wally looked up at her tears forming in his eyes “ he…he said he would stay behind….. let me get you to safety a mean…he had no chance…I think…” cringed Wally as a tear began to fall from his eye.
“No….he cant be not after everything we’ve all been through not after all that’s happened we’ve always been alright the three of us he….just…can’t…WAAAAH” cried Kuki as she broke down in tears. Wally crawled over to her and put his arm around her. She fell onto his chest and cried her eyes out. Wally just stared up at the sky wondering if this was there fate now sealed and if it was he thanked numbuh 25 for giving him one last moment with Kuki
Wally kept a firm hold of Kuki as he continued to stare up at the sky thinking of all the time they had been on the run, everything they had lost in this war, everything that had been taken from them, why this had happened to them and why was it all ending now, after so long, why was evil going to defeat good. His thoughts were interrupted as something came crashing down the slope and landed on its head
“Aaaaaah gees right on the head dam that’s sore” yelled numbuh 25 as he got up and held his head “ and look what they did to my clothese with those stupid lasers they’ve got theres like 20 holes through them aaaah” Both Wally and Kuki were looking at him in disbelief. “do they not know how hard it is to find wearable clothese when your on the run from the entire planet a mean look at you Kuki they’ve put a massive hole in your sweatshirt . Hows your arm feeling now, looks like you did a great job sorting it out Wally nice one” moaned numbuh 25 tottaly oblivious to his fellow operatives blank stares at him. “those guys don’t know who there messing with wait until the three of us….” He was cut short as he noticed the two of them staring with there mouths gaeping. “what, what is it, is there something on my face aw great did they hit me in the face now” began number 25 again as he stared feeling his face trying to find the wound”
“YOUR ALIVE” both Wally and Kuki suddenly scream finnaly coming out of there shock.
“Of course I am….what did you guys think I was…….ahright that’s why yous were looking at me like that” smiled numbuh 25.
Kuki lunged on him giving him a big one armed hug “You idiot” was all she said as a smile reappeared on her face.
“How did you survive though there were hundreds of them out there” asked a confused Wally while he patted numbuh 25s arm happy he was still alive.
“Well there may be tons of them but there aim sucks well either that or there using laser to clothese lasers, and you know how you said hundreds, eh….its kind of an understatement its more like millions. I think hes sent half his army after us….I don’t think theres any way to escape….weve lucked out this time” said numbuh 25 the happiness and smile he had before fell from him and was replaced with dread and sadness.
“Well I never thought it would come to this but there is still one hope” said Wally as he looked at numbuh 25 then down at his wrist.
“Woah woah woah hey we agreed we would only use that in the most extreme circumstances” numbuh 25 complained
“You don’t call a massive army coming to destroy us as an extreme circumstance” Wally said in a sarcastic tone.
“But we don’t know it it ll work” numbuh 25 went on
“We wont know until we try” Wally replied folding his arms starting to get frustrated.
“But….but..” stammered numbuh 25 “why me”
“You know why, we agreed to this besides we can take it off now why are you being so objective” Wally began to yell getting really frustrated now.
“Why do you think oh that’s right YOU DON’T DO YOU!!!” screamed numbuh 25 tears forming in his eyes.
“Will you stop being a baby you knew this day would come, we never stood a chance the three of us, we should be counting ourselves lucky we even have this” said Wally the rage building up.
“WILL YOUS TWO SHUT UP!!!” both of them were taken aback by Kuki’s outburst. “Yous are both acting like babies all use have ever done since this war is argue. The both of yous used to be so close.” Sobbed Kuki as she began to cry again.
Both the boys looked at each other then back at Kuki sobbing. “what have we become” whispered numbuh 25. “I m sorry Kuki” began the both of them “It’s not me you should be apologising too” she sobbed.
Both the boys looked at each other and smiled “I m sorry mate” Wally smirked as he stretched his hand out.
“Its ahright you didn’t mean it” smirked numbuh 25 back.
Wally just laughed at him as they shook hands “cheeky as ever”.
“Wouldn’t be me if a wasn’t” chuckled numbuh 25.
Kuki looked at them both and smiled thinking “now that’s the two friends I remember”
“I’m sorry I acted like that but….using this it means ill abandon the both of yous….ill never truly see yous again….I just don’t think I can do that…..I don’t think I could live with it.” numbuh 25 said looking away trying to hide the tears that were beginning to fall.
Kuki and Wally walked over to him and put a hand on each of his shoulders. Kuki began “ I know this is tough and the thought of never seeing you again hurts me too but we will see each other again it wont be the same…but with your help it can be better think how much better our friendship will be if this never happened it will still be the same me.” Wally then continued “ Yeah and isn’t it going to be tougher losing now when we have this chance to make everything better. No matter what, we will lose each other if we do nothing but with this we have a chance to make things better to make them right. You can’t value the world on our friendship”
Numbuh 25 lifted his head and looked up at the sky. There was silence for a few moments. He turned and faced his friends, a weak smile on his face. “Your right….we have to do this, not just for us but for everyone who weve lost” The three of them had a group hug knowing this would be there last.
“Right lets do this” said numbuh 25 now lifting his wrist up and staring at the watch. “um ok…eh does anyone know how to work this thing”
“WHAT you don’t even know how to work it” yelled a shocked Wally
“Well I was never shown how to work it we all just voted that I should wear it, I still have no idea why” replied numbuh 25 scratching the back of his head.
“Lucky I was paying attention when numbuh 2 gave me a demonstration of it then isn’t it” smirked Kuki as she grabbed numbuh 25 s wrist and start twiddling about with the dials on it.
“Hey hey shouldn’t you tell me how to work it incase” “ Here shove this in your bag it’s the instruction manual” interrupted Kuki
“Where the heck did you get that I’ve never seen you carrying this about with you” questioned numbuh 25
“does it really matter just take it with you and read it when you need to” said Kuki getting a little frustrated.
“READ THIS! You’ve got to be kidding me its got like buhmillion pages in it, gees only numbuh 2 could go into this much detail” moaned numbuh 25
“JUST TAKE IT” screamed kuki turning into her demon form.
“oo..oo..k” whimpered 25
“Wally could you check how long we have before that army gets here this could take a few minutes to sort” said a now calm Kuki
“Yeah sure just don’t kill him before I get back” smirked Wally as we edged himself further up the slope till he could just see over it without being stopped. His jaw dropped as he looked out. Numbuh 25 hadnt been exaggerating infact in Wallys eyes he was underexagerating the size of the army there was millions upon millions spreading miles back almost onto the horizon. They were only about 500 feet away from where they were bunkered down and closing fast, they had about a minute if they were lucky. Wally carefully slide back down the slope and back over to 25 and Kuki who was still fiddling about with the dials on the watch.
“Ok so just turn that back 6 and move that too count down the time when you get back and that should be it all set” smiled Kuki as the watch began to light up with a green light.
“Guys they ll be here any second” yelled Wally as he rejoined the two.
“Well you had better get out of here before they get here numbuh 25….you wont want to see what happens” Wally said sadly.
Numbuh 25s face fell again as he stared at the both of them tears again forming in his eyes. “I…..I….” stammered numbuh 25.
Kuki walked over tears falling from her eyes and hugged him “Good luck, don’t let us down” she sobbed letting him go and walking towards the slope.
Wally then stuck his hand out infront of numbuh 25. He reached out and grabbed it and shook it as Wally said “Its been great battling alongside you, am sorry you have to go the last mission alone but I know you can do it bud” He then turned and walked off towards Kuki never turning around to face numbuh 25 again
