Sorry if this doesn't make any sense or the song doesn't go with this fic. ^^;;; I just wanted 2/5-ness.
Song: Flattery by Aly & AJ, inspired by this Spyro/Cynder mv - www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHAAqb7RWy4&mode=related&search= Plus Spyro/Cynder really remids me of 2/5 for some reason.
Anyway, enjoy.

Please, don't flatter yourself
You're not the only one
This heart has ever felt
Please, don't exaggerate
Don't tell me you're okay (okay, okay..)
She sat there; her face leaned back against the wall, her hazel-nut colored brown tearful eyes covered by her red cap. She saw him trying to kiss her. Cree Lincoln the sister, friend, greatest threat. Hoagie Gilligan the best friend, sweet-talker, Abby’s Love.
It was a crush, she had realized.
Yes. She did admit it to herself in her thoughts, in her dreams. But could she confess to the boy she saw almost every moment of the day? She could do that too. She was planning on it, until he had shown up at her front door.
“Hey Numbuh 5,” Hoagie greeted with a nervous smiling. A light, pink rosy blush immediately appeared in his cheeks. Abby had noticed he was holding up a small bouquet of red roses for her older sister. “Is...Cree home?”
Abby’s mouth gapped, but no words came out. Of course. The flowers were meant to be for Cree. How could she have been so stupid? All Abby did was stand there with a stunned expression across her face.
“Numbuh 5?” Hoagie asked, snapping his fingers in front of her face to get her attention. She shook her head back into reality, with a stuttering, “H-huh?”
He smiled, and asked repeating in a gentle voice.
“Is Cree home?”
“Uh…no, she isn’t.” Abby said, shaking her head, and feeling very hurt inside.
“Oh.” He seemed disappointed. “Well, could you give these to her once she gets back?”
Abby took the flowers and nodded.
“Thanks!” With that, he walked off with a grin.
She couldn’t believe it. She wiped her tears with her arm, shaking her head. But the tears wouldn’t stop. Hoagie was the one who would light up the sky for Abby’s new day. And yet, today was very gloomy, and began to pour rain. She decided to go to him and confess.
I will admit, if you admit it
It's harder than we both thought
It's easier to fall apart
Look where we are (look where we are, look where we are)
I can forgive it, I can't forget it
You left me here with all these scars
and you can't deny the hardest part
I'm not in your arms
At once Abby headed for Hoagie’s room of the tree house, she heard Kuki’s giggling and Wally’s laughter in Kuki’s bedroom. They were now a couple, as Nigel and Rachel were. And she was very happy for the both of the pairings. Though Abby’s heart was aching terribly, there was only one boy who could heal it.
“Hoagie?” she asked, heading into his room, finding him that he was making a few adjustments to one of the two by four tech.
“Hey, Numbuh 5!” he called from under the KOOLBUS. “Could you hand me the wrench in the toolbox over there on your left?”
“Yeah…” she said coolly, walking over to the toolbox and picking up the wrench. She walked over to him, bending down on her knees and handed it to him.
“Thanks!” he said, taking the wrench, tightening some bolts under the KOOLBUS. “Ah, okay, that’s finished!” He perked up from under the bus, smiling one of his cheerful smiles with a few black smudges on face, hands and clothing from the oil.
Abby was surprised that she saw him smiling at her, not at Cree. “No problem.” She said weakly smiling back.
“So, what did you want to ask me?” Hoagie said, reaching for a water bottle next to him. As he took a drink, he took his other hand and reached for a small paper towel, wiping off the oil from his face.
“Uhh…” Abby glanced here and there, trying to find the words to speak.
We're more hurt than we appear
The world will never know
We both have tasted tears, my dear
You're denying what I say
Don't act like it's okay
Cause it's not okay
“Numbuh 2, Numbuh 5 needs ta’ tell ya something.” He shut her eyes tightly, her teeth gritting as her body trembled all over. All she had to say were three simple words. Three. Simple. Words.
“Yeah…?” said Hoagie, coaxing a brow. “What?”
“Abby…I mean... I love you!” she blurted out.
Silence.
I will admit, if you admit it
It's harder than we both thought
It's easier to fall apart
Look where we are (look where we are, look where we are)
I can forgive it, I can't forget it
You left me here with all these scars
and you can't deny the hardest part
I'm not in your arms
“N-Numbuh 5,” Hoagie stammered, interrupting the silence. A slight blush appeared in his cheeks.
“I know you love Cree, I know dat’, but I jus’ had ta’ say it! I love ya, Hoagie Gilligan!”
“I don’t love Cree anymore, Abby—”
“But you’re probably thinking that Numbuh 5 loves Maurice, but she doesn’t, and you still love— Huh?!”
“I don’t love Cree, Abby.” Hoagie repeated. A warm smile appeared on his lips.
“Don’t try to flatter me… I know ya still love Cree.” Abby said, half melancholy.
It's not in the cards
It's not in the stars
I'm not sorry, I'm not sorry
You're not sorry
“No, I don’t. Do you know who I loved from the start?” he asked, scooting closer to her.
“Cree.” Abby answered, rolling her eyes, seeing that her sister had always had to be perfect inside-out.
“No.” Hoagie answered, leaning in. Abby’s heart slowly started to melt down into her chest, feeling his breath upon her neck.
“Then who?”
“You.”
There he had pressed his lips to hers, giving her a long, affectionate kiss. Abby gasped, fully surprised on what he was doing. She wrapped her arms around him, kissing him back, passionately.
He pulled away from her lovely face, smiling at her. Abby opened her eyes, smiling back at him.
“Really?”
“Always have. Always will.”
I will admit, if you admit it
Just please, don't flatter yourself
Please, don't flatter yourself
