GTND- The Date

So I've had this idea of Nebulos & Lunira going out on a date as a teen so I've started this mini little oneshot. ^-^ It's very short and is only 2 chappies long. I'll add the last chappie later this week, which will consist of the date and the ending.

I can't get enough Neb/Lun fluff! (Hey, that rhymed! *giggles*)

“Oh, I’m late! I’m late! I’m late!” A teenage Nebulos cried as he ran through the GKND base. He panted heavily as he dodged the feet of busy aliens walking in front of, behind, past, and around him.

“Excuse me! Excuse me! Coming through!” He couldn’t see past the ongoing traffic of feet, flippers, claws, blobs, and other methods of transportation that were carrying the aliens hectically around the base. Feeling frustrated and being unable to see where he was going, Nebulos bent his knees and leaped on top of the heads of a few aliens, using their craniums as stepping stones.

“Ow!”
“Hey!”
“Numbuh 1001011!!”
“Watch it, Nebulos!”
“Dude! Be careful!”

“Sorry! Sorry! I’m in a hurry!” He cried, his grey hoodie flapping in the wind behind him. It wasn’t long before he jumped down to the ground again; the force of his jump causing the alien whose head he was on to lose his balance, fall to the floor, and drop some important papers.

“HEY! Nebulos!” He cried.
“Sorry Numbuh 8-T! I gotta move!” Nebulos said guiltily, hating that he couldn’t stop to help the small Octupus Alien pick up everything he had dropped.

“Man, she’s going to be so mad at me when she, Oof!” Just then he bumped into something, or a pair of somethings…(human legs to be exact, covered in cargo-pants).

“Woah! Hey, you okay there Neb?” A smooth voice asked. Nebulos clenched his teeth, wincing at the force from his fall. Then, he looked up to see,

“N-numbuh one!” He quickly picked himself up and began dusting himself off.

“What’s the rush little buddy?” Nigel asked, bending down to pick up the flowers Nebulos had dropped. Nigel was dressed in a red t-shirt and thanks to the science of the GKND, his shaggy brown hair had grown back and he had taken full advantage of it. Today, it was spiked into a fancy style (much similar to Matt from Season one of Digimon, Digital Monsters). Nebulos was still trying to catch his breath as he attempted to explain his situation to one of his best friends.

“Oh, w-well I…ya see. Uh…I…I mean Lunira and I we…I was supposed to….”

“Woah, calm down. Take a deep breath little buddy. Now, what’s going on?” Nigel said, bending down to Nebulos’s level and patting him on the back gently. He handed him the tiny flowers he had dropped. Nebulos bit his bottom lip and rubbed one of his arms nervously as his other two arms held the flowers.

“I-I have a date with Lunira today. And I had set my alarm to wake me up early so I could pick her up on time; but it didn’t ring and…and now I’m practically a half hour late! Lunira’s gonna be so mad!” He said, nervously running his gloved hand through his shaggy white hair. Nigel smiled down at Nebulos.

“Now you know that’s not true. Lunira could never be mad at you.”

“I-I just don’t understand why my alarm didn’t go off!” Nebulos cried, throwing his arms out in distress. Suddenly, they heard another voice calling from across the hall.

“Yo Nebby!” They turned their heads to see Numbuh R-666, aka Zarzig, standing there against the frame of the door with his arms folded. He had gotten a bit more muscular over the years. After finally winning over Ruby the Feline, he had taken more pride in his appearance, and Ruby had made it quite clear that she liked guys with muscles. So he worked out a lot now. Nebulos frowned.

“What do you want Zarzig?” He asked.

“You better get a move on before you’re miss your date with Luni!” Zarzig snickered. Then, Nebulos’s eyes grew wide as he realized…

“ZARZIG! You creep! You tampered with my alarm clock!” Nebulos clenched his fists angrily and made to lunge for Zarzig when Nigel caught him in the air. Zarzig laughed before turning and walking off.

“Ooh, I can’t STAND him!” Nebulos said.

“Don’t let him get to you Nebulos, that’s what he wants. Just head on over to Lunira’s quarters for your date and I’ll take care of Zarzig.” He said with a mischievous wink. Nebulos smiled and nodded his thanks.

“Thanks Numbuh one! I owe ya big time!” He said. Nigel placed him back on the ground and folded his arms.

“Ya better hurry!” He said. Nebulos nodded and took off in a sprint again. It was then that a tall, blonde human walked up to Nigel and wrapped her arms around Nigel’s frame.

“What was that all about, Tiger?” She asked. Nigel looked down at Rachel and couldn’t help but to smile. Her hair had gotten longer over the years, but she was still as beautiful as ever. He also loved looking into her chocolate brown eyes. He wrapped an arm around her.

“Seems like Zarzig made Nebulos late for his date with Lunira.” Nigel said with a slight frown. Rachel gasped.

“That’s horrible!”

“Indeed….but I’ve got a plan.” Nigel said with a smirk.

Meanwhile, Nebulos had just made it to Lunira’s room. He leaned his hand against the side of the door to catch his breath. He looked at his watch, given to him as a gift via mail by one of Numbuh one’s friends from Earth not too long ago. He smiled,

“Phew! I made it!” He said. He then took a deep breath and sighed before brushing his hair down and straightening his dark, blue-jean vest.

Nebulos took a breath and knocked on her door.

“Who is it?” A voice called from within. Nebulos smilled.

“Hey Lun, it’s me!” He said.

“Oh, wait!” He heard shuffling from inside the room and pressed his ear to the door in curiosity. Suddenly he heard a loud thump and he felt his heart skip a beat in slight fear.

“Lunira! Are you okay?!” He asked, swinging the door open. There Lunira lay, face first on the ground with her arms spread. She groaned.

“Just peachy.” She said. Nebulos gave a small smile and stepped forward to help her sit up.

“What happened?” He asked. She sighed and rubbed at her ankle.

“Well, I-I tripped over that chest there when I was hurrying to answer the door.” She said, nodding to the chest that was at her feet.

“Here, let me look.” Nebulos said, gently taking her foot in his hand. Lunira couldn’t help the blush that rose to her cheeks.

“Why were you rushing to the door, silly? I wasn’t going anywhere.” He said. Lunira pouted and folded her arms.

“I know, but well you took so long to get here, you almost didn’t make it. I thought that well…” her voice grew quiet and Nebulos stared at her intently. She sighed before continuing, and she looked at him shyly.

“I thought that…maybe…you had changed your mind?” She said. Nebulos’s eyes grew wide and he looked at her sadly.

“Oh, Luni,” He looked down at her foot again and noticed that it didn’t look too swollen. He rubbed it gently.

“I’m sorry you were worried. But i-it wasn’t my fault. ….somehow Zarzig messed with my alarm clock and that made me late.” He said, a frown creasing his brow. Luni stared at him incredulously.

“Zarzig?”

“Yeah, he can be such a pain.” Nebulos said. Lunira giggled and put her paw on his arm.

“It’s Okay Neb. I’m just…I’m happy you didn’t change your mind. I’ve been looking forward to this day all week.” She said with a giggle. Nebulos smiled and nodded.

“Me too. I always enjoy spending time with you Luni, I wouldn’t dream of cancelling unless it was an emergency, and I definitely would contact you ahead of time if it was.” He said. Luni couldn’t contain herself as she wrapped her arms around his neck tightly.

“You’re so sweet! Thank you!” She said. Nebulos blushed and slowly hugged her back with all four arms, his antennaes glowing brightly. He always loved hugs, but there was just something about Lunira’s hugs that made him glow even brighter than normal.

Not too much later he pulled away from her.

“Oh! And I uh…got you something.” He said, his cheeks glowing violet. He reached over where he had placed the flowers on the floor and handed them to her. Lunira gasped.

“Oh wow! These are my favorite flowers from my planet! How did you know?!” She asked. Nebulos rubbed the back of his head nervously.

“Well, with a little research from EVE.2 and help from Niji I was able to find them and get them for you.” He said. Lunira smiled even more at him.

“Nebulos, you are something else! I love them, thank you so much!” She said, smelling the flowers. She giggled as they tickled her nose. Nebulos couldn’t help but to smile at her. She was so nice and sweet, not to mention cute! They had been best friends since they first joined the GKND. Over the years they had become a bit closer, but their friendship had always remained strong. He’d do anything for her and to make sure she was safe, and she’d proclaimed that she’d do the same for him, even though he couldn’t stand the thought of her risking her safety for him. He’d never forgive himself if something bad happened to her. His eyes scanned over to her ankle again.

“Well, your ankle doesn’t look bad; think you can walk on it?” He asked.

“Yeah, it’s just a little numb but it doesn’t hurt.” Lunira said. Nebulos wrapped his two midriff his arms around her and one other arm held hers as his forth arm balanced them. Lunira leaned all her weight on him as he helped her stand.

“You sure you okay?” He asked. Lunira nodded.

“Yes, thanks!” She said. Nebulos smiled.

“You know what?” He turned around and squatted down.

“Nebulos?”

“C’mon, I know you love piggy back rides, and this way you can ease up the pressure on your ankle a bit.” He said. She smiled at him.

“You don’t mind?”

“Of course not! C’mon, it’s a GKND Squirts tradition!” He said with a grin. He knew she loved it when he gave her piggy back rides and ran around the base so she could feel like she was flying. Lunira smiled and wrapped her arms around his shoulders as he picked her up.

“Thank you Nebulos!” She said, nuzzling her head against his. He blushed and his antennaes glowed even brighter.

“C’mon, Zinc is waiting for us!” He said, leaving her room. Lunira dropped her flowers in a vase near her door and Nebulos closed said door behind them as they left.

“Zinc?” She asked.

“Yeah, he’ll be our mode of transportation today!” Nebulos said. Lunira raised an eyebrow and gently poked Neb in the head.

“And just what do you have planned for us today Numbuh 1001011?” She asked. Nebulos smiled.

“Well if I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise now would it?” He said. Lunira pouted but smiled inwardly. She always loved surprises and she couldn’t wait to see what Nebulos had planned.

YAYZ *glomps with all her might with a cookie* This is soo cute. I loved the Piggyback part too, poor Luni though. I've had that happen to me once. *giggle* I can't wait to read the second part...I wonder what Nebulos does have in store...:3

Nebulos was zooming through the hallways as Lunira held her arms out straight,

"WHEEE!" She cried, enjoying the feel of he wind through her ears. Nebulos couldn't help but to smile at her happiness. Not too much later he made his way to the hangar where the GKND ships often docked.

"Thank you for flying Air-Nebulos! Please watch your step when de-boarding!" He said with a grin. Lunira giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck tightly, hugging him and rubbing her furry cheek against his OWN.

"That was so much fun Nebulos! Thank you! You always know how to make me smile!" She said. Nebulos felt himself blush violet.

"Y-yeah well, ya know." He said with a shrug. He bent down to let Lunira off of his back and as soon as she touched the ground again she smoothed out her yellow skirt and patted down her hair. Nebulos smiled at her. She really had changed over the years. Her hair had grown longer, a little past shoulder length, and her bangs fell over her eyes. She was wearing her new traditional garb, which consisted of an orange top with a short green jacket as well as orange sleeve coverings that stopped at her elbows. She also wore green shorts under her skirt and orange and green tennis shoes. The combination of orange and green really brought out her eyes and made her all the more vibrant. Lunira caught him staring at her and shyly smiled a bit.

"What, have I got something on my face?" She asked before giggling.

Nebulos smiled and shook his head.

"Nah, just that cute smile of yours." He said. Lunira blushed and playfully hit Nebulos's shoulder.

"So, where's Zinc anyway?" She asked, looking around.

Nebulos shrugged and looked around as well.

"I dunno, he said he'd be here." Nebulos put his hand to his forehead to scout the area when suddenly they heard a noise coming their way.

"INCOOOMING!" It cried! Nebulos gasped and put an arm around Lunira to gently bring her down to the ground with him as a big wind gushed by over head. They both looked up and smiled.

"Zinc!" They cried. Zinc did a loop-de-loop in the air before zooming back down and sliding across the floor on all four paws. With great dexterity, he did a few moves as he glided across before slowing himself down to a stop while sitting in an upright position just in front of them. He winked.

"What's up guys?" He asked. Nebulos stood up straight, helping Lunira as well.

"Wow, Zincy! That was amazing!" He cried. Zinc laughed a little.

"Yeah, Zoey's been helping me out a lot! I have better control over my wings now, so I've been working on some new moves!" Zinc said, flapping his wings a bit. Lunira giggled as the wind blew her hair a bit and Nebulos held his arm up and closed one eye as the wind blew in his face.

"Alright, alright Zincy, easy on the wings!" Nebulos said. Zinc chuckled and stopped flapping before bending his head down so he was level with Nebulos and Lunira.

"So, you guys ready to fly?!" He asked.

"Where are we going?" Lunira asked, with Nebulos gently holding her around the waist to help lift her onto Zinc's head. Zinc smiled.

"I've been sworn to secrecy!" He said with a wink. Lunira pouted.

"Aw, you guys are no fun." She said. She then reached down to grab Nebulos's hand and help him up on Zinc's head as well.

"Trust me, it's worth the surprise." Nebulos said. Lunira raised an eyebrow.

"Alright, I trust you." She said with a wink.

"Are you guys all set up there?" Zinc asked, wings shooting out as he prepared to take off. Nebulos and Lunira tightly held on to the horns that had grown on his head to symbolize that he was older now.

"Ready for take off Zinc!" Nebulos cried.

"Alright! Here we go!" With that, Zinc took to the skies and zoomed out of the GKND base into the beauty of space. Lunira smiled at Nebulos as the wind blew through her hair.

"So, when are you going to tell me where we're going?" She asked.

"Alright, alright Miss Impatient." At this, Lunira pouted and stuck her tongue out at Nebulos playfully before he continued,

"I heard there was going to be a meteor shower in about twenty minutes." He blushed and rubbed the back of his head nervously.

"I thought, it may be nice if we watched it together; they're so rare around the GKND base, you know?" He asked. Lunira's eyes grew wide.

"Oh, Nebulos, that sounds wonderful! I love meteor showers!" She said, giving him a big hug. Nebulos beamed.

"Great! Zinc'll make sure we've got a good spot, it's just about half a mile from the base." He said. Lunira squealed.

"I'm excited! I can't wait!" She cried, clasping her hands together.

"Well be there before you know it! Zinc said as he flew through the skies."

Not too much later they reached a spot where they could watch the meteorshower safely. Zinc hovered in the sky while they waited.

"You sure this is the right spot Zincy?" Nebulos asked. Zinc nodded.

"I double checked the coordinates before I left." He said.

"Now whose the impatient one?" Lunira asked Nebulos with a giggle. Nebulos blushed and stuck his tongue out at her. They both giggled and looked around at it was pretty quiet for a while. Nebulos glanced at Lunira nervously, she had grown into a beautiful bear alien so far and he was so happy to be her friend. Lunira sighed and a worried look crossed Nebulos's face.

"I-i'm sorry we're having to wait Luni." He said.

"Huh?" Luni looked at him, "Oh, no, no, it's okay Nebulos. I don't mind waiting with you." She said. She looked around at the stars and smiled. "It's kind of peaceful out here, ya know?" She asked.

Nebulos couldn't help the small smile that reached his face as he also looked into the night sky.

"Yeah, it kinda is." He said. Suddenly he felt a weight against his shoulder and he froze up as Lunira snuggled closer to him.

"Lunira?"

"You're comfy, you know that?" She asked. Nebulos blushed, but wrapped one of his arms around her. Zinc smiled up at the two before something caught his eye.

"Oh! Hey look there! I see some stars starting to fall!" He said. Lunira and Nebulos looked up and Lunira pointed excitedly.

"Oh, I see them!" She said with a grin on her face.

"Yeah! Here they come!" Nebulos cried.

As the meteor shower started, the stars fell in front of them in a wave of sparkle and glitter that twinkled in the night sky. Lunira gasped.

"Oh my, it's beautiful!" She said, her eyes shimmering at the sight.

"Yeah. It really is!" Nebulos said, nodding in agreement. After about 15 minutes of enjoying the meteor shower, and each other's company, Nebulos spoke again,

"You know, they say if you make a wish during a meteor shower it may come true."

"Really?" Lunira asked. Nebulos nodded. Lunira put a paw to her mouth in deep thought.

"Hm, but I wouldn't know what to wish for." She said.

"Whatever you like, silly!" Nebulos said with a smile. Lunira blushed a bit before looking back up at the stars. She felt her heart well up with emotion as the shower continued to fall before them. She felt at peace as she watched the gems of light sprinkle across the night sky; and to her, they symbolized a certain aspect of never ending hope and faith raining across the universe. While watching the shower, she felt that those stars had the power to make everything alright, which was probably where the tradition of wishing on them came from. She turn to Nebulos with a serious but happy look in her eyes.

"What would you wish for?" She whispered. Nebulos was taken aback but the expression on her face and felt himself blush, but then he smiled ang gently took her paw in two of his hands. He shook his head.

"Honestly? I wouldn't wish for anything. I already have everything to make me happy." He said, squeezing her paw firmly but gently. Lunira felt a tear come to her eyes.

"Nebulos."

"Guys, it looks like the shower's almost over, we should be heading back." Zinc said.

"One moment Zinc." Lunira responded. She smiled at Nebulos and put her hand over the two that were covering hers before closing her eyes. If I could wish for anything, it'd be that Nebulos and I stay best friends forever, I-I never want to lose him. She thought to herself. Nebulos tightened his grip on her hands but remained quiet as he knew she was making her wish. Not to much later, the meteor shower slowed to stop and all was quiet again. Lunira still had her eyes closed.

"Luni, are you okay?" Nebulos asked. Lunira opened her eyes and nodded, her eyes still a little teary. Nebulso reached forward and wiped away her tears.

"Then what are you crying for?" He asked worriedly. She giggled and shook her head.

"N-nothing...just, I'm crying because I'm happy! This...was a wonderful surprise, Nebulos. Thank you." She said. Nebulos's eyes grew wide in confusion before scratching his head.

"Happiness can induce tears?" He asked. Lunira giggled.

"I know, it's weird right? But apparently it's common with humans. I-It actually feels weird, but in a good way, ya know? I think it's...I don't know, I'm just thankful that I'm lucky to have you for a friend." She said. Nebulos felt his heart skip a beat at her words.

"Lunira..." He smiled and hugged her tightly. "I'm happy too." He said. They were quiet for a moment as Lunira relaxed in his embrace.

"So...you gonna tell me what you wished for?" Nebulos asked. Lunira giggled.

"If I tell you it won't come true silly!" She said. Nebulos pouted.

"Ah, is this payback for me keeping a secret earlier?" He asked. Lunira ruffled his hair.

"Maybe." She said. Nebulos smiled before leaning over Zinc's head.

"Hey, thanks a lot for the flight, Zincy!" He said.

"Oh, anytime little buddy! You two are my best friends, I'm always happy to help! In fact, if you like we can just cruise around for a bit before turning back in!" He said. Nebulos turned to Lunira for her approval of the idea and she nodded.

"I'd like that a lot." She said with a smile.


After they had been flying around in space for a while, Lunira found herself leaning against Nebulos again, enjoying the scenery of the stars and planets around her. Nebulos glanced down at her and noticed that she's had her eyes closed.

"Luni?"

"Hm?"

"You're...um, you're having a good time, aren't you?" He asked. She nodded and leaned against him more.

"This has been the best day of my life so far Nebulos, Thank you." She said with a grin on her face. Nebulos sighed in relief; the main thing he had been worried about was whether or not Lunira would enjoy their day together. Lunira placed her paw on one of his hands and opened her eyes.

"It's...erm...well, almost kind of...." She blushed and looked away. Nebulos eyed her warily.

"K-kind of what?" He asked. Zinc, meanwhile, couldn't help but smile to himself. But he said nothing, not wanting to ruin the moment. Lunira looked down and rubed her paws together nervously.

"Maybe....a little bit, I mean....just a bit....r-romantic?" She asked shyly. Nebulos' eyes grew wide and blushed a heavy shade of violet before clearing his throat.

"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said..."

"No...no, y-you're right...i-it kinda is." Nebulos said looking down to the said. Lunira stared at him, worried that she may have ruined their time together, but she noticed that Nebulos was smiling.

"A-actually....I um...wrote a song for you, that is, if you want to hear it." He said. Lunira gasped.

"Nebulos! I didn't know you played music!" She said in shock. Nebulos blushed even more and rubbed his neck nervously.

"W-well, I just started, you know. A-and I wanted do so something special for you. I-if you want to hear it." He said.

"Oh, I'd love to! That is, if you want to play it." Lunira said shyly. Nebulos nodded before pulling out a small guitar he asked Zinc to bring.

"I-i'm not very good, I mean, I'm just a beginner but..." he started strumming a few chords.

"N-numbuh one taught me how to play." He said. Lunira smiled and nodded as Nebulos cleared his throat. Though he was nervous at first, he later became more confident as he played, keeping his eyes closed and feeling the music.



As he neared the end of his song, he couldn't help but to use two of his arms to pull Lunira into a hug. She blushed but didn't resist as she rested her head on his chest and snuggled closer to him. Nebulos smiled and played the last few notes with his top two arms that loosely around Lunira. She sighed happily and hugged him back tightly.

"Nebulos, that was wonderful. You have an amazing voice!" She said. He blushed.

"W-well, I don't know about."

"I mean it, you should sing more often. I loved it. Thank you." She said, not pulling away from him. Nebulos smiled and hugged her closer to him, burying his face in her hair.

"I'm glad you liked it." He thought to himself as Zinc continued to fly through the night sky.

Phew! That took FOREVER to write! XD But it was fun! Okay, I think that's enough fluff for one night. One more chapter to go and a few more things to happen on their daaaate. Let me know if it was too fluffy or not fluffy enough. Gosh I hope I kept them in character. Read and review! Thanks! It's late and I'm going to bed now! ><

PS: I particularly love the images of Nebulos runnng through the base w/ Lunira on his back and her arms out wide like an airplance! XD

But my favorite is perhaps the serenading scene b/c Neb. has 4 arms. And in my head I picture that the arms around his torso can hug Lunira while his upper to arms come around her and he continues playing the guitar with the upper too. Meanwhile she's snuggled close to him as they fly on Zinc into the night sky. I think that's a beautiful image. ^^ *sighs happily* ^-^

*dances* Yay, yay, yay! ^^ I tried to make Lunira kinda playful. I remember in your PM you said something about her glomping him so I thought, "I've GOT to bring out her playful side!" Thus the teasing him and ruffling Nebby's hair and such. *Giggles* But I also figured she'd be a bit shy since this is, well in my head, her first real date with Nebulos. ^^ The meteor shower moment is mostly focused on her I think so I was really hoping I portrayed her as well as you have in the RPs. She's your character after all! ^^

And yes; I loved that song too! I've been singing it for like 3 days now and i couldn't WAIT to write it in the fic! *giggles*

Nebulos, Lunira, and Zinc arrived back at the based and Zinc allowed the two smaller aliens to climb off of his head.

"Thanks so much for you help today Zinc!" Nebulos said, petting his snout. Zinc smiled,

"Aw, anything for you little buddy!" He said, before giving Nebulos a big lick-kiss. Nebulos laughed and petted Zinc more before Lunira came up and hugged the dragon tightly.

"You're awesome Zinc!" She said. Zinc blushed modestly and nuzzled Lunira with his nose for a moment.

"Aw, thanks Luni! You're awesome too!" He said, before using his muzzle to push her towards Nebulos.

"Neb sure is lucky, you two make an awesome team." He said with a wink. Nebulos and Lunira's eyes grew wide before they looked at each other and blushed. Zinc just chuckled.

"Well, I'm off to find Zoey! She's gonna teach me for flying maneuvers! See you guys later!" He said, taking off. Nebulos and Lunira waved before turning to smile at each other.

"Nebulos, this day has been so wonderful! I'm so happy!" She said, throwing her arms around his neck. Nebulos caught her with two arms around her waist and his other two balancing themselves before he laughed a little.

"And it's not over yet." He said. Lunira gasped and pulled back.

"What?! Really Nebulos, we've done so much already with the flight and the song and the stars and the..."

"Oh, I know what your talking about. " He said, winking as he immitated one of Nigel's old friends. Lunira giggled and he took both of her paws in his own hands.

"But, there's still three more surprises." He said with a wink. Lunira's eyes grew wide,

"Three? Honestly Nebulos, you didn't have to go through so much trouble today." She said, feeling a little overwhelmed. Nebulos just pulled her into another hug and held her tightly.

"It wasn't any trouble, since it was for you." He said, feeling a violet blush rise to his cheeks. Lunira blushed as well before nuzzling into his shoulder. She felt her heart pounding.

"Thank you." She said, with a small smile on her face. With that Nebulos pulled away and turned around so he could give her another piggy back ride. Her face lit up with happyness as she eagerly climbed on his back. He made sure she was set before taking off in a run through the base towards the GKND lounge.

As the ran, Lunira's giggles of happyness rang loudly in Nebulos ears, and he couldn't help but to flash his antennae's brightly and laugh as well. They were going so fast they did not see the ladder in the hallway that held a certain Octopus who was busy painting a high space on the wall, and a young bat girl teen who was right next to him. As Nebby flew past, he accidentally bumped into the ladder, causing it to wobble,

"AHHH! No, no!!" The Octopus cried, quickly wrapping all of his tentacles around the ladder to hold on tightly. The bat girl gasped and zoomed down to catch the bucket of paint before it spilled all over the floor. Neb and Lun gasped before Nebulos screeched to a halt. He turned to face where the ladder was only to see a shivering Octopus and the bat girl trying to comfort him. He laughed nervously.

"S-sorry about that Inky, Anita!" Lunira said.

"W-we're kinda in a hurry" Nebulos added, using a free hand to rub his head nervously. Inky was still shaking in fear and Anita continued to try to calm him down. She turned to the two smaller teens.

"Don't worry guys, it's all good! Nigel told us about your date earlier today, just go on and have a good time!" She said. Nebulos and Lunira both blushed heavily.

"N-nigel knows?" Lunira whisperd to Nebulos. He anime-sweatdropped,

"W-well, could you tell Inky I'm sorry! I think that's the second time I've bumped into him today." Neb said, somewhat ignoring Luni's question. Inky opened one eye and looked down at his two friends. He sighed.

"Oh...i-it's fine. Don't worry about it g-guys...heh-heh..." He said. Nebulos gave a sheepish smile and a nod before turning and walking away with his arms still holding Lunira up. As they walked Lunira gently tugged on his antennae,

"Oy, exactly how many people know about our date, mister?" She asked, with a hint of playfullness in her voice. Neb smiled.

"Well, Nigel helped me earlier when we found out what Zarzig had done, so he's probably told all of GKNDV by now. Plus Niji and EVE.2 know, they help me set up the next surprise for you." He said.

"Hm, everyone's trying to help the squirts, huh?" She asked. Nebulos shrugged.

"I suppose." He said with a smile. Then, Lunira began to gently tap his head in a smooth beat. Neb's eyes grew wide,

"Huh, what are you doing?" He asked.

"Making music! Wanna join me?" She asked with a giggle. Nebulos rolled his eyes playfull before slowing his steps down to walk to the beat Lunira had set, and he hummed a little diddy as they went. Another thing he loved about her was her creativity, and her spontaneity. She was a very playful alien, much like himself. He always knew that if he had nothing to do, life would never be boring when she was around, and with that in mind there was an extra little skip and swagger in his step as they made their way to the lounge.

When they got there, they saw a lot of aliens either watching the Intergalactic station with over a eleventy-buhmillion channels. Other aliens were playing a few games while some hung out around the juke box. Still others were at the counter ordering somethng to eat or drink while some sat down at tables. There weren't a lot of aliens out that night, so the place wasn't too crowded. Nebulos looked around, searching for the spot he had asked EVE.2 and Niji to set up for them.

"It should be by one of the GIHUGIC glass windows" He thought to himself.

"Hey, what's the matter?" Lunira asked worriedly. Nebulos sighed.

"Oh, it's just that..."

"Hello sir and madame!" A voice said, startling the two littles as they turned to see a teenage Niji hovering before them. As a teenager, Niji was into trying different styles, so currently she had her normally long Rainbow hair up in a fancy twist with curls on the side of her face. It gave her more of a spunky and fun look. Nebulos smiled,

"Princess! You sacred us!" He said. She giggled.

"I'm sorry, but I saw you looking around and I wanted to letyou know everything's set! Right over there." She said, pointing to a somewhat isolated area that had a small table for the littler aliens set up in front of one of the GIHUGIC window panes. Nebulos gasped. That was perfect. He smiled up at Niji.

"Thanks so much princess!" He said with a smile, before sitting Lunira down and taking her hand in his. The trio then made their way over to the area and Nebulos pulled out Lunira's chair for her. She giggled.

"My, such a gentleman." She said.

"Of course milady!" Nebulos said, playing along. He then took a seat opposite of her as Niji floated up.

"I already have your order placed so it should be ready in a moment. And EVE.2 is already set up outside." She said. Lunira blinked.

"Eve.2" Now what's going on that she's involved too?" She asked, extremely curious. Nebulos and Niji giggled.

"You'll see!" Niji said, flying off to see if their food was ready. Nebulos smiled nervously at Lunira.

"S-so...are you ready for you next surprise?" He asked her. She beamed.

"I'm so excited I'm having to force myself to sit still." She said. Nebulos chuckled a little and Lunira smiled sweetly at him.

"Nebulos, I can't believe you had all of this set up for me. I mean, I would have been just as happy with a simple walk around the base with you." She said shyly, looking down at her paws. Nebulos reached out a gloved hand towards her.

"I know, but you deserve more than that. I wanted this to be day to be special." He said. Lunira felt tears of happiness come to her eyes and she wiped them away.

"T-thank you." She said. Nebulos smiled and, in a move rather bold for himslef, he took paw and kissed the back of it gently. This made Lunira's heart skip a beat as she gasped and blushed and the feel of Nebulo's lips on her hand. She couldn't help but to blush shyly as she tried to calm her racing heart. Nebulos then gave her a charming smile, which she returned. She always felt happy and safe around him. She never wanted that feeling to end.

Not too much later, Niji returned with their food, and there was one plate with a sparkling cover on top of it.

"Here we are! Specially cooked meals from each of your home planets, a Stardust Milkshake for you to share, as it is your favorite, and a soopah special surprise under this cover, which the lady shall receive at the end of her meal. Enjoy!" She said with a giggle, before she too flew away. Lunira's eyes lingered on the sparkling covered plate.

"Nu-uh Lunira, not until after we eat." Nebulos said. She gasped and pouted.

"C'mon! It's just sitting there! All sparkly! Like it's begging for me to...just one peek? Please?!" She cried, giving him puppy dog eyes. Nebulos almost gave in, but held his resolve.

"Not gonna work this time Luni." He said. She pouted and huffed cutely.

"You're no fun." She said. He giggled and flicked a Quablit her way, causing her to playfull glare at him as he winked. She then smiled, sighed, and went to eating her food as well.

The two fell into light conversation and it wasn't long before the meal was over. It was then that Nebulos fiddled withi his jacket nervously before scooting his chair over cloer to Luni so both were facing the window. Lunira noticed this and smiled at his nervousness.

"Well Mister meanie head, can I open my present now?" She asked. He pouted.

"Oy, I'm not mean, you're just impatient!" He said, sticking his tongue at her. She laughed and scooted a little closer to him, leaning comfortably against his side as she took a breath and removed the cover. Nebulos blushed heavily at their closenss, but was more focused on her reaction then anything. She gasped, for there sitting on the plate was a glowing orb that shimmered and sparkled as it constantly changed colors.

"Oh...Nebulos, what...?"

"Niji made it." He said, smiling as he picked the orb up and faced towards her more.

"It's a new powers of hers that she has. She took all the colors of the rainbow and concentrated it into this crystal ball that always glows and alternates colors. I thought it was beautiful when I saw it, and...well.." his antennaes dimmed a little in embarrassment, "I-it reminded me of you." He said. Lunira stared at the ball, awestruck, before gently taking it into her hands. Indeed, it just felt like an ordinary ball, but it was so beautiful and flashy.

"Oh, I love it! It's gorgeous!" She said, holding it close to her heart. She smiled at Nebulos with happy tears in her eyess and Nebulos felt his heart skip a beat. Lunira wraped her arms around him tightly.

"Nebulos, you're so thoughtful and sweet. I couldn't ask for a better...thank you!" She said, nuzzling him. He smiled as he held her before tapping her on the shoulder and whispering...

"Look outside." Lunira opened one eye, curios, and looked outside to see Niji and EVE.2 doing a light show of fireworks and rainbows, just for them. She gasped and sat up excitedly.

"Oh wow....." She said, eyes fixated on the beautfiul colors and sparkles that exploded in the sky. Nebulos smiled and wrapped one arm around her nervously, and she leaned over to rest her head on his shoulder as they watched the display.

....

After eating, Nebulos escorted Lunira back to her room. This time the two walked hand in hand, just strolling and enjoying their time with each other. They made sure to walk slowly, savoring every moment they had. It wasn't long before they reached Lunira's room.

"Well....this is my stop." She said, as she turned to face him, standing between him and the door. Nebulos looked down and shuffled his feet, with one set of hands in his pockets and the other set behindh is back.

"Y-yeah, this is your room." He said. Lunira smiled at him. It was amazing how he could shift between nervousness and romanticness so much in one night. She figured he was probably nervous the whole time, but tried to hide it mostly for her sake. She looked down and blushed.

"I....I had a wonderful time Nebulos. Really, I enjoyed every minute of....I mean, I can't even...just...thank you." She said softly. Nebulos looked at her and blinked for a moment before smiling.

"As long as you were happy. That's all I wanted." He said, stepping a little closer to her. She nodded.

"Mm-hmm, I was very happy." She said.

"Ah, well that's good, then." Nebulos said, feeling drawn to how cute she looked just then. Lunira found herself just inches away from her best friend and she smiled, staring into his eyes. They were just as kind as his heart was.

"Nebulos...you did so much for me today..." And I didn't get him anything. She thought. Nebulos shrugged a little and tilted her chin up.

"The smile on your face today was enough for me." He said. The two stood in silence for a moment, staring into each others eyes. Lunira couldn't help herself as she leaned forward and gently brushed her lips against Nebulos's.

Nebulos's eyes grew wide and he blushed a heavy shade of violet as his antennae began to glow brightly. She...she was kissing him. A small kiss, but it felt nice. The only other time they had kissed was when Rachel had introduced to them what a mistletoe was when they were younger. Nebulos had never forgotten that day, and often wondered if Lunira remembered...apparently she did. And why was he thinking so much?!

He closed his eyes, wrapped his arms around her and softly pressed his lips back against hers. Lunira felt herself smile against him and pulled away not too much later. She opened her eyes to see that Nebulos's eyes were still closed, and his lips still slightly puckered. She laughed a little.

"Nebulos." She said. He opened his eyes and gazed at her dreamily. She seemed so much more brighter to him now and he smiled at her.

"Wow." He said. She looked down and blushed, nodding.

"U-um...well, maybe I should, uh..." She didn't really want to leave. She wanted to kiss him again. Instead, Nebulos leaned forward and lightly pecked her lips once more. Lunira felt a flutter in her stomach when he did so and her knees felt like jelly. Nebulos pulled back and leaned his forehead against hers.'

"Lunira..." She smiled up at him and hugged him tightly. She could hear his heart pounding and smiled. It was such a strong heart beat, and warm. She didn't want to leave his arms. But she sighed and pulled away, smiling up at him.

"I-I'll see you t-tomorrow?" Nebulos asked nervously. She giggled and nodded.

"Oh yes, tomorrow." She said, before adding, "So...i should probably sleep so tomorrow can come faster and I can see you again." She said. Nebulos laughed a little.

"Yeah, that sounds like a plan." He said. Lunira opened her door.

"Thanks again, for a wonderful night Nebulos." She said. He smiled at her, still a little dazed.

"Any night is wonderful with you Luni." He said. She blushed and gave a shy wave as she closed the door behind her.

"Goodnight." She said.

"Goodnight. Sweet dreams."

"You too."

With that, the door closed, and Nebulos put his hand on the piece of metal that was between them. He felt a smile break out on his face and he had to refrain himself from dancing all the way back to his room.

"Tomorrow." He thought, and he knew he couldn't wait for that day. After all, as the Luminarian saying went, "Tomorrow should remain a mystery." And he couldn't wait to see what tomorrow had in store for him.

Little did he know, as he left, several friendly eyes had been watching him and Lunira from just around the corner.

I had just been thinking "Hm, I'd better go to sleep, it's already pretty late..." And then I saw the update on this thread and was all " O_______O!!! NO WAY I'm going to sleep!" XD And I was so incredibly giddy that I didn't feel sleepy anymore at all!

And I just kept getting more goddiy throughout the entire story!! Just when I thought it couldn't get anymore fluffarific, this chapter pops up! *giggles* THIS IS SO AMAZINGLY CUTE!!! EEEEEEEHH!! *bounces off the walls* I hope I don't wake the neighbours! X3
