Well, this is weird. '^^ I didn't like the 1st movie (Madagascar) all that much. I mean, it was okay and I liked some parts...but not enough to inspire me to catch the sequel (Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa).
However....low and behold...I actually like the new series on Nickelodeon! ^^
Now, I didn't like the Penguins that much in the movie but in the series they are very cute! ^-^ Private (the youngest penguin) is my favorite so far! He's very sweet!
I also like Skipper's (the leader's) attitude and
Kowolski's (the smart one's) brains. Though Rico (the crazy one) is a bit too...crazy for me.
Of course King Julian is also really funny too! ^^ And I may even have a small shipping couple already...Skipper/Marlene (who's an Otter...go figure. XD)
Marlene is like an independent otter who doesn't like to be the damsel in distress and Skipper is the leader of the Espionage Spy Penguins...so of course they would see her as the "Damsel in Distress" so it's a funny relationship.
Marlene actually saved Skipper once and he later said, "If I ever get in trouble again, I'd be lucky to have Marlene by my side" or something, which was sweet. ^^
But yeah, if you get a chance to watch it let me know what you think.
I haven't had a new favorite show in a while since KND left but I'm happy I have one now. ^^
