(This one is also sort of a going away gift for Jas since she's leaving for France tomorrow morning. Have fun Jas! ^^)
The birds chirped over heard as a cute blonde and a cute redhead sat with their backs to either side of the trunk of a large tree. The blond hummed a small tune as she doodled on her drawing pad while the redhead tapped feverishly away at his trusty laptop. Suddenly, what some would describe as an adorable blue, four-armed lightening bug bounded up to the redhead.
“Hi Izzy! Whatcha doin’?” He asked.
“Working on a surprise for Jas. But don’t tell her.” Izzy whispered. The blue creature beamed and his antennas flashed excitedly.
“Jas loves surprises!” He said, thinking about his partner and friend. Meanwhile, on the other side of the tree, a pink beetle came up to the blond. She smiled at him as she turned the drawing pad his way.
“What do you think Tentomon? Think Izzy will like it?” She asked.
“He’ll love it! It looks just like him Jas! If I know my partner, he’ll love the detail and the mere fact that it came from you!” He said. Though the bug could not smile because of the vertical design of his mouth, one could hear the happiness in his voice. Jas blushed at his words,
“Gosh you really think so?”
“Undoubtedly!” The bug said. Jas giggled behind her drawing pad and patted the pink beetle on the head.
“You’re so sweet! Thanks! Why don’t you keep Nebulos company for a bit?” She asked. Tentomon nodded and saluted the blond.
“Will do!” He said, before rushing over to where Nebulos was on the other side of the tree and dragging him off to play a game of hide and seek. A few moments later, both humans could be heard crying out,
“Finished!” To which they caught each other’s attention and looked at each other around the base of the tree. Both laughed a bit before Izzy rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
“Sorry about that.” He said. Jas shook her head.
“No, it’s fine. What were you working on?”
“Erm, just a little…um…program. What about you?”
“A drawing.” The blond blushed.
“Oh, can I see?” The redheaded genius asked. Jas nervously crawled her way over to Izzy and sat next to him. She shyly showed him the drawing pad. The boy’s eyes grew wide at the sight.
“Jas…this is amazing.” He said, as his fingers gently traced over the detail of the picture. It was an image of him working studiously on his laptop, as she had seen so many times. She had also shaded in a way to make it even more realistic.
“You really like it?”
“I love it! It’s so intricate. And you did this from memory?” He asked, feeling flattered. He felt his heart smile at the mere thought that she had made such a gift for him. Jas blushed more and nodded.
“Um well, I don’t think mine’s as good. I’m not really the artist type.” Izzy said, tilting the laptop so Jas could see it. The girl excitedly leaned forward, her head over Izzy’s shoulder, and the redhead couldn’t help but blush at her close proximity. He heard her gasp in delight at the adorable animation he had been working hard on for the past week.
There on the screen was an animation of Nebulos and Jas playing hide and seek, and once Jas found him, Nebby’s antennas flashed in excitement until the entire screen lit up and faded to a close-up picture Izzy had of Jas and Nebulos hugging on his desktop.
“Oh, Izzy! It’s so cute, I love it!” Jas said, a grin spreading across her face.
“Really? I thought that it could have been smoother where you look around the rock and…”
“No, no, It’s perfect!” Jas said, hugging Izzy tightly and nuzzling her cheek against his own. Izzy blushed, but couldn’t help to smile, as long as she was happy.
And their two partners watched on from upon a hill at a distance, Nebulos sitting atop Tentomon’s head. And the two smiled at the couple below them, knowing the two humans were a perfect match in more ways than one.

A dark-skinned girl wearing a white t-shirt over a green tank top relaxed in the grassy field of the digital world. Her name was Rika, and she smiled at the feel of the warm sunlight kissing her skin and let out a deep sigh. It was a perfect day and everyone was just relaxing. She also knew this was the best day for many of her friends to spend time getting closer to their crushes. She’d just seen one of her best friends hugging her crush over something she had seen on his laptop and was happy that they seemed a bit closer than before. Speaking of crushes, her own crush was lying right next to her in the opposite direction. His head was next to hers.
“Isn’t this nice?” She asked. The spikey-haired goggle head yawned.
“Yeah, I suppose.” He said. Rika pouted and looked at him.
“You say that like you’d rather be elsewhere.” She said. Davis shook his head.
“Nah, it’s just I’m antsy to kick some bad-guy digi-butt.” He said. Rika sat up a bit and sighed.
“Don’t you think we deserve a break?” She asked. Davis opened his eyes and stared up at the beauty that he was harboring a crush for as well. He couldn’t help but smile a bit.
“Well yeah, I just get antsy if I’m not doing something.” He said, closing his eyes again. Rika shook her head and lay down again, turning over on her side.
“You’re hopeless.” She said. Suddenly, a blue dragon like creature on two legs hopped over.
“Davish! Davish! It’s done! We did it!” He cried. Davis sat up and looked at his partner.
“What is it Veemon?” He asked.
“It’s a surprise for you and Rika!” He said. The boy’s and girl’s eyes grew wide. It was then that an orange oval-shaped robot with green eyes flew forward.
“Ri-ka and Da-vis must see, affirmative!” She trilled, spinning around in the air happily. Rika looked over at Davis curiously, and he just smiled before shrugging. Rika smiled back a bit before standing and dusting off her shorts.
“Alright, let’s see.” She said. And so Rika and Davis walked side by side, following the bot and dragon towards the surprise. Davis stretched and tried to be subtle about wrapping his arm around Rika. She rolled her eyes but didn’t pull away. Instead, she leaned into him a bit as they continued walking. It wasn’t long before they came across a gihugic boulder that had their two crests intertwined and painted on it in a big circle. Rika’s crest of compassion was essentially a heart with wings, and it overlapped Davis’s crest of courage while the edges of the his crest of friendship extended from the sides.
“Oh! Davis!” Rika cried, wrapping both arms around him in shock. Davis’s eyes also grew wide and a small blush spread across his face at the symbolism he saw in the piece. He didn’t say anything and scratched the back of his head nervously, but he really liked the piece.
“How did you guys do this?” Rika asked their partners. Veemon, the blue dragon, beamed.
“EVE.2 flew me around and I painted!” He said. EVE.2 smiled, her eyes upturned in happy crescents.
“Affirmative!” She trilled. Rika giggled and hugged Davis tighter.
“Well it’s very sweet, thank you! Isn’t it Davis?” She asked? Davis looked down at her and saw her smiling face, and he couldn’t help but smile back. He tightened his hold on her.
“Yeah, very sweet.” He said, a bit dreamily. Rika closed her eyes and giggled and she snuggled closer to him, and Davis just held her tighter. EVE.2 and Veemon looked at each other and giggled as well.

Tai and Allie were strolling along a path of flowers in digiworld. Tai had his hands in his pockets and Allie had her hands behind her back. Their partners, Agumon the dinosaur and Zinc the baby dragon, were following along behind. Zinc floated above Agumon’s head. No one said much of anything until it was Allie who broke the silence.
“Tai, are you alright?” She asked.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. Fine. Don’t worry about me Allie.” He said. Allie looked down.
“It’s just, you haven’t said anything for a while now.” She said. Tai stopped in his tracks and shrugged.
“Just thinking.” He said.
“About Sora?” Allie asked. Tai said nothing. Then, he sighed.
“Sorry Allie, I just can’t stop thinking about her.”
“You still care for her, huh Tai?” Allie asked.
“Huh? Oh, well yeah of course I care for her. I mean, I’m over her. It’s just, I was thinking about memories is all. The first time I saw her, how we played soccer together, when she would baby-sit Kari. All that stuff.” He said. Allie nodded.
“Memories are nice.” She said, looking down. She felt her own heart thump hard against her chest as she tried her best to be strong for Tai and not to let her emotions wear her down. Tai looked up at the sky.
“Yeah, they are I suppose. But there’s one thing about memories, is there’s always room for new ones.” Allie gasped and when she looked up she saw Tai smiling at her, rather charmingly. She blushed a bit and looked down. Tai shrugged.
“So Sora’s dating my best friend, I’m happy for her really. But it means we weren’t meant to be, and that I was meant to be with someone else, ya know?” He asked.
“Someone like who, do you think?” Tai smirked and walked up to her.
“Someone cool, with a strong heart. A believer, a dreamer. Who’ll be there for me no matter what.” He said.
“Do I know her?”
“Oh, I think you do.” Tai said.
“It’s you silly!” Zinc cried out suddenly from atop Agumon’s head. Allie and Tai blushed and shot Zinc a look, to which his eyes grew wide.
“Oopsie!” He said, covering his mouth with his wings.
“Aw, don’t worry about it Zinc. I think they needed someone to tell them; their talking in riddles was confusing me.” Agumon said. Tai chuckled at this.
“Right then, no more riddles.” He said, smiling at Allie. Allie smiled back before shyly linking her arms with his.
“I’ll be there for you, as long as you need me Tai.” She said. He smiled and kissed her cheek, causing her to blush.
“I’m counting on that.” He said with a wink. Allie grinned and tightened her grip on his arm a bit. Tai had both of his hands in his pockets, but leaned into Allie more, and with that the two of them continued strolling along the digital path, just enjoying each other’s company.

Paula was sitting on top of the flat part of a boulder that Cody was leaning against as he sat on the ground.
“What did you get for number 10?” Paula asked, as the two were working on their math homework. Paula was dressed in a purple tank top with yellow arm warmers on her forearms.
“Hmm…X equals 6.” Cody said. Paula’s eyes grew wide and she looked down at her homework again. She tapped her pencil gently against her cheek before sitting up.
“How did you get that?” She asked.
“Did you remember to carry the two?” Cody asked. Paula double checked her work before blushing slightly.
“Heh-heh…oops.” She erased her work and started over. Then she sighed,
“I can’t believe the teacher gave us homework over the weekend.” She said.
“At least we’re doing it early. Then we’ll have more time to relax.” Cody said. Paula gasped excitedly before hanging upside down in front of Cody.
“And then you’ll teach me more Kendo, right?!” She asked. Cody gasped at her sudden outburst before falling over on the ground, to which Paula giggled. He blushed a bit.
“Erm…y-yes, if you want.” He said, shakily. He then set his math book aside and reached into his backpack, pulling out two rice balls. He handed one to Paula who slid down to sit next to him.
“Would you like one?” He asked, politely. Paula smiled at him and nodded.
“Thanks Cody.” She said, smiling and scooting over closer to him. Cody smiled and scooter closer to her as well. Paula bit into her rice ball and swallowed.
“Do you think the older kids are weird?” She asked.
“How do you mean?”
“The way they act around each other sometimes. Like you can tell they like each other but sometimes they act like they don’t.”
“That is weird, I agree.” Cody said softly.
“I think if you like someone you should just tell them.” Paula said with her eyes closed. Cody looked at her and blushed slightly before quickly biting into his rice ball, for he was taught it was rude to talk with his mouth full. That and he was also a bit bashful when it came to topics like this, especially with Paula since he did like her.
“Wouldn’t you agree Cody?” Paula asked. Cody continued chewing his food thoroughly. Paula smiled at him and sighed. Suddenly, Armadillomon came up with a small panda like creature riding on his shell. Her name was Lunira.
“Paula! Paula! Look at me!” Lunira cried, raising her small paws up in the air.
“No paws!” She added with a giggle. Paula smiled at her and giggled too.
“Whatcha guys doin’?” Armadillomon asked. Cody swallowed his food.
“We’re eating. Would you guys happen to be hungry? You can have some of our food if you like.” Cody said, offering his rice ball to Armadillomon.
“Oh Cody, I couldn’t take your food!” Armadillomon said.
“It’s okay, I’m full anyway.” Cody said. Paula looked at him in shock.
“But you hardly ate any.”
“It’s never good to over eat.” Cody said softly. Paula couldn’t help but smile at him. He was so reserved and polite. She split her riceball into threes, giving one to Lunira, keeping one for herself, and giving the other bit to Cody. Cody looked at her in shock.
“It’s never good not to have a happy tummy either.” Paula said with a smile.
“I couldn’t, Paula it’s yours.”
“I don’t mind, really.” Paula said. Cody shyly, but politely accepted her half.
“T-Thank you.” He said. Paula nodded.
“They really do care about each other! Just like you said Luni.” Armadillomon said, causing both kids to blush slightly.
“I know, right? Say, we were about to get the other partners to play tag, you guys want to join us?” Lunira asked. Paula smiled at Cody.
“Maybe in bit.” She said.
“Okay, but hurry!” Luni cried, before Armadillomon turned in a run, giving Lunira a fun ride. Paula then stood and held a hand out to Cody. Cody looked at her and took her hand as she helped him up.
“Ya know, maybe the big kids aren’t so weird. If you like someone you should tell them when you’re ready. Don’t you think?” Paula asked. Cody’s eyes grew wide before he slowly nodded. With that, Paula put hand on his shoulder. Cody looked up at her and smiled. She really was his best friend.
“C’mon, let’s join Luni and the others for a game of tag.” She said. She turned to leave when Cody took her hand in his, holding her back for a moment.
“Paula…” She looked at him and he looked down shyly a moment, staring at her hand in his own.
“I…uh…I…” He glanced up at her and she patiently waited for him to finish his sentence. He couldn’t help but smile. She was so cheerful and strong, he really admired her. He sighed.
“You, you’re my best friend. And..you’re pretty cool. I-I like you.” He said softly. Paula’s eyes grew wide before she giggled and gave Cody a tight hug. To this, Cody turned a bright red as Paula said,
“You’re also my best friend! I like you too, you’re so sweet!” And Cody slowly wrapped his arms around her, returning the hug and feeling warmth of their friendship in his heart, and perhaps something a bit more.

Renee stood on a hill that had a marvelous view of the digiworld. From where she stood she was surprisingly able to get a view of all of her friends. She could see Jas cuddled up with Izzy by the tree, Rika hugging Davis in front of a bolder Veemon and Eve.2 had worked on, Tai and Allie were standing in a field of flowers just talking, and Paula and Cody were running around playing tag with everyone. Renee was dressed in pink and blue took a deep breath and sighed, it was absolutely lovely. Just then her rainbow-colored partner floated up next to her.
“Isn’t this nice Niji? Everyone’s just enjoying their time with each other.” She said, resting a hand on her hip.
“It is beautiful.” Niji said, before looking over at her partner.
“But don’t you wish Willis was here?” Niji asked. Renee blushed.
“Erm…n-no, why would I wish that?” Rene asked. Niji giggled.
“Oh, no reason!” She said. Little did Renee know, Niji was motioning for a certain someone to come their way.
“Everyone looks pretty happy together, neh?” A voice said. But Renee was enjoying the sight so much that she didn’t even pay attention to the tone of voice.
“Hm, it’s awesome!” She said. Suddenly, to arms came up and wrapped around her from behind, causing her to stiffen in surprise.
“You sure you’re not lonely?” The voice said. Renee froze before smiling, she knew the voice now.
“W-willis?” She asked, turning around to see him. The blond smiled charmingly at her.
“Hey gorgeous!” He said. Renee giggled and hugged him.
“What are you doing here?” She asked.
“Oh, a rainbow colored birdie told me you could use some company.” He said. With that, he pulled a rose from behind his back and presented it to her.
“For you!” He said.
“Oh, thank you! That’s so nice!” Renee said, smelling it’s lovely scent. Willis smiled before placing the rose in Renee’s hair.
“A flower for a flower.” He said. She blushed and playfully hit him.
“You’re such a flirt!” She laughed. Willis reached down and took her hand.
“Hey, I haven’t seen you in a while and I missed you.”
“I missed you too.” She said. With that, Willis tugged her hand and they fell into a comfortable walk together, but just to shoot the breeze, but not before Renee shot Niji a look. Niji gave an innocent shrug before waving at Renee and Willis, and it was then that Terriermon, Willis’s partner, bounded up to Niji and hopped in her arms.
“Your plan worked Niji!”
“Of course! Everyone needed someone on a day like today.” She said, placing Terriermon on her head.
“C’mon, let’s go play tag with the others.” She added, and with that she floated off, happy that her partner could enjoy the day with her crush, just like the rest of her friends.
