"What-the-hell-how-did-he-crash-ALREADY-I-TOLD-YOU-IT-WAS-A-BAD-IDEA...!"
Dengeki felt a force collide with him as Vibe sent him toppling to the ground. He held her close as the fell to keep her from being hurt, smirking when they landed in an awkward positiion. Despite the danger that the ship was in, he still managed to make a c0cky comment. "I knew you'd come onto me sooner or later." Suddenly, he felt the weight of the cold girl pulled off of him and her presence was replaced by an intense glare from Unagi. "Now is NOT the time to be hitting on my girl."
Unagi extended his hand to his brother and helped him up. They then ran to the door leading to the main room where everyone else resided, shoving it open and crashing through. The boys skidded to a halt when they saw the large rocks floating along just outside of their ship. "We await your orders, Cap'n!" A simultaneous salute came as they next to Cyril.

"Milo-Lee!"
Milo-Lee eyes snapped open at the sound of her name. She had dozed off in her chair and was now looking left and right for who had called her name. She turned to find Etoile a little ways behind her.
"You're defenses, right?"
"Awesi," She replied dazed, nodding her head, not noticing the fact she was speaking in her native tongue.
"We're in the asteroid belt and we've got to keep them from hitting the ship again! I can help you, too, I can try! And maybe we can get Niji to help, too!"
She shook her head, trying to focus. Asteroid belt. She turned toward the window, and caught sight of the mass of rocks in front of them. That wasn't good. Within a few seconds, she had managed to get a forcefield up over the ship. She turned back to Etoile.
"Ok, you and Niji should both join Nebulos. You'll have a better view there, and you can see if there's anything you can do,"
She turned back to the defence systems and began trying to get a better forcefield up. She then spotted a panel marked "Offensive Weapons" That might be useful. She turned to Cyril, "We have some weaponry here we might be able to use against them," She pointed to the rocks outside, "Should we give it a shot?"

The yellow bird hardly glanced over his shoulder as he heard speech directed towards him. "Um, I'm a bit busy right nooow!" was his hasty response as he initiated some evasive manoeuvres to avoid the huge floating rocks in front of them. "Uuhh, go figure it out for yourselves!"was his not very helpful addition.

Etoile heard Milo-Lee's orders, but his head was spinning as he thought quickly over the situation.
He couldn't join Nebulos and Ynda; it wasn't secure and it would likely get too crowded. But he needed to find a way to get to the top of the ship, so that more actions could be taken against the threat.
"I'm going to try something else!" he barked, turning to run. He might get in trouble for it later, but now wasn't the time to argue, and a safer place was needed to be able to defend the ship.
Finally, after a few minutes of searching, he found it: a hole that opened up into the empty space. He hurriedly shut the first door quickly behind him, sealing himself into a room so that he could open the door to the space without it affecting anyone else.
As fast as his fingers would let him, he attacked a secure harness to himself and made sure that both ends were latched on safely. Then, with a deep breath for courage, he opened up the hatch and leaped out into space.
His feet touched the cold surface of the rocket when the line tugged him downward, and he checked his harnesses once more before walking carefully forward along the cool metal, toward the front. His footsteps were quiet, gentle, and he faced the oncoming sea of rocks with a shaking determination.
The whole body of the little alien began to shine with his scarlet glow, and he stretched both arms forward, letting his fingertips emit their red light. He directed them at the rocks and with all of his hearts pounding furiously, he began to stretch his telekinetic grip forward, and it expanded to consume the rocks.
"KEEP US STEADY, PLEASE, CYRIL!" came his terrified yell through the walls of the rocket. "I'm going to try to help!"
His muscles burned, throbbed, ached as he pushed, using all of his effort to push the large rocks out of the way. They were thick, dense, and made of sheer force, so they pushed back at him obstinately and tried to continue on their path. Sweat trickled down Etoile's forehead as he continued to shove his own will on them.
No. You will not touch our ship.
The command came feebly at first, then stronger, and then with full force as he continued to push the rocks aside, trying to open up a path for them to navigate through. But it hurt, it hurt terribly, he could feel his strength slowly draining away.
"Help me!" The strength in his voice cracked during his shriek toward anyone who was listening. His knees began to buckle, and even though he was secured to the rocket with a thick life line, Etoile was terrified.

Niji wiped the sweat already dripping from her forehead, as she created force field after colorful force field, moving asteroids out of the ship's path, she knew she couldn't keep this up forever and could feel the energy meter in her pocket vibrate, telling her to slow down and pace herself, but she refused. She couldn't just stand there and no nothing. That was not who she was. Sure it would have probably been a lot easier to get out and blast some of the rocks away, but with that not being an option, she had to do the best she can under these dire circumstances. She steadied herself against the ship's rocking, and she glanced to her right and saw Etolie's weary face as he struggled to push the enormous rocks away. "Oh, no! Etolie!!" In one fluid motion Niji somersaulted over to where Etolie was currently standing, and she held her plams flat against the window, looking at the rock Etolie was struggling with, her diamond shaped gem in the center of her forhead glowed a fierce red, and her eyebrows furrowed in concentration and determination.
"I've got your back Etolie!" She cried, and with a deep breath she created a large rainbow force field around the rock Etolie was attempting to move out of the way. Her fingers trembled under the tremendous weight of the large asteroid. "N-Now on the count of three, we'll push together, okay?" She glanced at Etolie, waiting for a response.

The empty, cold air around him felt like it was about to swallow him up. Standing on the outside of the rocket, surrounded by this sea of boulders, made him feel like he was going to become lost inside the expanse. But then he heard Niji's voice, calling to him.
His eyes found her, still inside the rocket, and a look of understanding and gratitude passed quickly over him and he nodded, letting the light on the red tips of his fingers glow even brighter. "I-I'm ready!" A deep breath rattled his lungs and he tensed to push again.
"One. . . two. . . THREE!" Exerting all of his energy, he pushed on the rock, feeling as though his tiny frame was about to shatter into a million pieces. He couldn't do it, not by himself, but he had Niji to help him, and he prayed that it would be enough as he poured energy out into the rock and tried to shove it away.
--
[[By the way, Renee, I didn't know if Niji had come outside of the rocket with him or if she was still inside. I sort of took a guess and wrote it as if she was still inside the rocket, but if that's wrong, I can change it!]]

(Oh, no, no! It's fine, don't change it, Sadie. It's my fault really. I forgot to add in that crucial detail. ^^ Niji clenched her eyes shut and pushed as hard as she could, she tried to push the large boulder off to the distance, and as difficult as the task was, the two children seemed to be making progress. Slowly but surely, the asteroid began inching back, and the force field Niji created crushed the smaller asteroids in it's path. She hardly noticed the color in her hair and skin starting to fade away, nor the slight stinging of her fingers as she intensified the colors of the force field making it more durable, more stronger. She bit her lower lip and shook off the feelings of fatigue in order to help Etolie. "W-we're...D-doing it Etolie. J-Just hang on a little...L-Longer!" She told him, while desperately hoping that she can heed her own advice.

It wasn't going to be enough. They were running out of too much power, way too fast.
Panting and sweating, Etoile grunted and pushed another rock out of the way, sending it hurtling away. His arms felt limp as he lifted them again, and he realized that a new tactic was needed.
One of his hands, tipped with glowing scarlet, extending to Niji.
"C-come on." His voice was strained and quiet. "We'll finish it together."
Maybe with their power combined, they could do it.

After blasting away one of the smaller asteroids, she looked at Etolie's red tipped hand apprehensively, and gave him an equal look, her eyes brimming with uncertain tears,
"Y-you really think we--" She let the sentence hang, she didn't need to continue for the look on Etolie's face was all the reassurance she needed. Nodding, she slowly took her friend's hand and gave him a weak smile.
"I know we can do this together..." She gave his hand a gentle and trusting squeeze as her free hand began to glow with color again. "Whenever you're ready Etolie."

"We are operatives of the Galactic Kids Next Door."
He let the impact of the sentence drift into the air for a second, and then continued, casting his gaze back out toward the space filled with asteroids. "We can do it."
With a reassuring smile, while he tucked his own uncertainty away, he watched her hand begin to fill with color again. In response, he extended his own hand, feeling the red warmth wash over the entire surface. His blue eyes, so blue, became lost behind the red glow that covered his lenses.
"CYRIL! DENGEKI, UNAGI!" Even his shouting seemed so tired, so, so tired. "WHEN WE CLEAR THE PATH, GET READY TO BLAST OUT OF HERE WHILE WE HAVE AN OPEN SHOT!"
He turned his eyes to glance at Niji once more, and then faced the rocks with all of the bravery that he could muster.
"Count of three, ready?"
A deep breath stabbed at his chest painfully.
"One. . . two . . . three!"
And he seemed to explode, with red power thrust out of him and toward the rocks, swarming through the field and shoving them aside. A grunt of pain wracked his throat, but he kept pushing, kept forcing them to the side, even when he fell to his knees from the effort.

"One...two...Three!!"
At the sound of three, Niji dug deep to her center for the last remaining ounces of her energy, her legs felt like jelly, her stomach felt hallow and empty, she felt light headed, nauseous and clammy, all at the same time. but the colors flowing from her body and toward the rock were brilliant to behold, each shining brilliantly in contrast to the darkness of space. She just had to keep pushing, not only the rock, but she had to continue to push herself. She took a quick glance at Etolie, he was on his knees, and she how long it would be before she would suffer the same fate. She bit her lower lip harder and could taste a bit of her blood. Worriedly, she knelt down to Etolie, using one arm to control the force field, and the other weakly rubbing his head,
"C-Come on Etolie, y-you can't quit on us now...We need you right now, you have to stand up." She brushed the sweaty curls from his eyes, and wiped her tears away, looking at the asteroid, she took inhaled deeply. "I need you right now." She whispered her voice raspy.

"WHEN WE CLEAR THE PATH, GET READY TO BLAST OUT OF HERE WHILE WE HAVE AN OPEN SHOT!"
The twins had made their way back to the engine room. Unagi felt around his waist for the communicator he was given earlier. When he finally located it, he held it between his and Dengeki's faces as they responded in excitement. "AYE AYE SERGEANT 'FRO-MAN!"
Together, they ripped open the engine compartment for the third time during the trip, tore the wires away and shoved their cyan tails in its place. Though their next words sounded playful, they were the most serious as they had been since beginning the mission. Their harmonized yell rang out through the ship as well as the communicator that was held between them. "READY WHEN YOU ARE, FROSKEE!"
Straining to listen for Etoile's count, the fish kids became completely silent, the only noises coming from their rapid breaths and the humming of the engine.
"One. . . two . . . three!"
Eyes shut, the two blasted all the electricity they could into the engine. Their very own body energy was being converted into their fuel to get out. Unagi opened an eye to make sure his twin was still okay. He was so exhausted just from that blast, but he couldn't faint. Not yet. The communicator clattered to the floor. His arm was being squeezed tightly by Dengeki, but the pressure was slowly lifting. Unagi closed his eyes again, willing his body to lose its energy. It was too much to take. There was none left. His body crumbled to the floor as his mind drifted to unconsciousness, which was soon followed by Dengeki's on top of him. His heart that had beat so rapidly, was now faint and slow, and eventually stopped. A minute passed, then two. Their hearts started again, weak but alive. They stayed in their lifeless state. Still without energy to get up.
The ship, meanwhile, had been overcome by their electric current and blasted out of the belt. The speed had broken the sound barrier and had possible come close to the speed of light. This massive increase had only lasted a few seconds, but it was enough to allow the team to escape the dangers of the belt.

Aw man, I go to sleep and all the action happens overnight! D: Cruddy timezones XD Ah well, I'll see if I can fit something in :3

In the meanwhile, the blue little boy was running around the circular room, looking rather distressed. He jogged from one panel to the other, checking the television screens one time, then turn around to observe the skies ahead of them another. Not so long ago, he had been quite entertained by the communicators, and giggling at Cyril's little joke, that was until he had spotted what laid ahead of them. All humor gone, Nebulos's eyes had widened in alarm, antennae brightening along with it. Before he had overcome his initial shock and he could call out, he could already hear someone scream "Astroid belt!" downstairs.
That had seemed ages ago, now a stressed air hung around the ship and everyone was yelling and being nervous. And Nebulos was no exception to that. He had been utterly shocked and surprised when he had spotted movement on one of the monitors, and saw -upon a closer look- that it was no other than Etoile, who had ventured outside the ship by himself. Bemused, the little boy had stared at the screen and watched how the brave yellow alien was attempting to protect their ship from harm by using his telekinetic powers. Nebulos had uttered another yelp in surprise when all of a sudden he had seen a swirl of rainbow colours coming to Etoile's aid, colours he knew all too well. He couldn't see Niji on the screen, which made him guess she was still inside the ship and assisting Etoile from there on out.
As if this had been some sort of wake up call, Nebulos had jumped into action and ran around the room, checking for incoming targets, occasionally yelling into the steering cabin's communicator if an asteroid was heading their way, so they could avoid it without any difficult maneuvers. Occasionally, he nervously jogged back over to the television screen to see how his fellow teammates were doing. He was quite impressed how they managed to keep going, though his worry kept increasing at a fast rate, especially upon seeing Etoile collapse onto his knees. He had wanted to yell and tell them to get away from there, but at the same time he knew they were just trying to do what all of them were. To keep each other and the ship safe from harm.
Biting his lip nervously, his eyebrows slanted sadly when his eyes wandered towards the rainbow force field. He didn't know as much about Etoile's powers, but he did know all too well what happened if his rainbow friend consumed too much energy. Nebulos hadn't tried to contact her through his communicator yet, as he didn't want to distract Niji, but the concern about his friend kept rising. Panting nervously, the small alien dashed back to the front of the room, his eyes fixed onto the shower of rocks, pouring down upon them as a case of very bad rain. Just when he was about to call out a suggestion, someone beat him to it.
"CYRIL! DENGEKI, UNAGI! WHEN WE CLEAR THE PATH, GET READY TO BLAST OUT OF HERE WHILE WE HAVE AN OPEN SHOT!"
His antennae brightened in surprise upon hearing Etoile's voice boom throughout the room. However, he knew this was no time to dawdle. There was a plan and he had to go along with it. Focussed, his pale eyes narrowed, flashing from the left to the right to check for any incoming projectiles, in case they should prove to be a problem when they would make their escape.
"One!"
None to the left...
"Two!"
None to the right...
"THREE!"
Nebulos squeezed his eyes shut, his small hands squeezing around the edge of the paneling, much like when they were preparing for lift-off. However, this scenario was much less exciting, much more upsetting. With a jolt unlike any of the others before, the ship lunged into outer space, soaring towards an exit in the asteroid belt in a perfectly straight line. Worry and tension still bubbling in his stomach, Nebulos hardly ventured to open one eye. Rocks clattered against the ship's edges, though not enough to harm it or knock it out of course, their ship's speed proving stronger than the meteors'. His bolts casting a bright white light, the little boy hoped this would only be a matter of seconds before they got out of this precarious situation. He wanted to make sure everyone was alright. That was most important.

The panic in the atmosphere had finally given Cyril the kick he needed to do some real piloting. With the helpful aid of Nebulos, and his uncanny ability to guess where the asteroids were, Cyril managed to slowly increase the speed while skillfully avoiding the giant rocks. Most of the yells around him became something of a blur, he was concentrating so hard on avoiding the rocks, and because he had more control than Finnick, it was basically down to him.
One yell broke through his thoughts though, that crucial message.
"CYRIL! DENGEKI, UNAGI! WHEN WE CLEAR THE PATH, GET READY TO BLAST OUT OF HERE WHILE WE HAVE AN OPEN SHOT!"
Etoile's words rang loud and clear through his ears, reverberating in his brain, and sweat trickled between his feathers as the speed continued to increase. He guessed that Unagi and Dengeki were preparing to increase the speed even more, and he made preparation while still avoiding the giant rocks. So all those space-invader video games really did come in handy!
...
In the engine room, Vibe was at a loss of what to do. She'd observed the twins when they were given the instruction, but now she merely stood there, double checking the engine, since a fault now could cause some serious problems, like death. The door swung open and Vibe glanced round to see Nalo enter, looking rather lost. The metallic girl shot a hopeful gaze up towards the taller alien.
"If you're looking to be helpful, I'm not sure what you can do here," was Vibe's unfortunate response. The grey girl sighed silently, glancing worriedly between the engines and the rest of the ship out of the door. "It'll work out alright," were the reassuring words from Vibe, patting the smaller girl lightly on the head.
...
"One..."
Vibe backed away from the engine as the twins prepared to turbo-charge them out of there.
"Two..."
Nalo zoomed towards the door, watching the telekinetic and his rainbow companion from where she stood.
"THREE!"
Cyril hit every button necessary in record time, and what with the huge power surge which hindered the lighting in the ship, they were sent blasting out into space, straight through the clear pathway and out of danger, just as planned. The yell which the bird-boy let out this time was merely an exertion of the sheer effort required for the task.
When Vibe noticed the twins and their comatose state, she hurried to their sides, lifting them both up carefully to lay them on their backs on the floor.
"You guys did a great job..." she murmured, her fingertips brushing along Unagi's jawline softly, her vibrant eyes alight with the emotion her face would not express.

The ship lurched forward and then shot out of the belt with ease, drifting free of the dangerous rocks that they had left far behind them. Slowly, the glow that had encompassed the little yellow alien faded away and drained back into him, leaving his fingertips a dull, weary blackened color. The scarlet of his eyes turned back into that tired blue.
His lips curved into the smallest smile that he could manage for Niji, who had been the reason that he was still standing. Now that they were flying safely, he struggled back to his feet and whispered hoarsely, "I'm not quitting on anybody. Let's go inside."
Using the line secured around his waist, he slowly pulled himself toward the hatch and opened it, dropping back into the rocket. Inside, things were busy, but the air was considerably lighter and Etoile felt like he had done something good. Everyone had; thanks to their added efforts, the ship had come out with only a little bit of damage. They were a good team already, and Etoile was happy.
Happy, but tired.
He bowed weakly to the room and whispered a thick, raspy message of thanks to those who might be listening. They would most likely be celebrating their success, but Etoile would have to celebrate later. With a small sigh of exhaustion, he fell, and he was unconscious the second that he struck the floor.
Telarians stayed conscious as long as their energy wells stayed full, but Etoile's had run dry of the power that he had rocketed into space. It would take him some time of sleep to recharge, and until then, he remained a small pile on the floor, sleeping deeply while his black-tipped fingers clenched into a fist of tension.
