"E-excuse me? ... If I've" "I DIDN'T DO- Oh hi Fuzzy-head!" "... If I've calculated correctly, Cyril, we should be there in a few hours." "... Oh really?"
The yellow bird pondered this for a few moments, glancing at the various controls he had been meddling with in an unsucessful attempt to find out the answer himself, then narrowed he eyes suspiciously at their navigator. "How do yoooou know?" he responded, raising his eyebrows in what looked like mock doubt.

"It's Etoile." Shyly, as though he didn't expect the bird-alien to remember it anyway. His hands clutched the map tightly, as though he was seriously regretting his idea to come tell Cyril what he had calculated.
"Well. . ." He unraveled the map and pointed at the headquarters and their current position. "If that's our speed. . ." One finger tapped on the gauge on Cyril's controls that indicated their current speed. "A-and this is the distance. . ." Two hands raised into the air to measure the distance. "Th-then, if I did my math right, then it should only be a few hours until we get there, as long as we maintain this current speed. I think."

"Hmm..." The boy looked from Etoile, to the map, to the controls, and back and forth a few times. "Weeeell... if you say so... ... so wait if I go faster we'll get there quicker?!" This sudden realisation seemed to excite the boy, and he immediately pushed and pulled at some controls, increasing the speed by what turned out to only be a small fraction, not even enough to cause any disturbance amongst the passengers.
"YO DEKKI! 'NAGI! WE NEED MORE POWAH DOWN HERE!" he yelled over Etoile's head and in the direction of the engine room, determined to fly as fast as possible. The sooner they got there, the sooner he'd have the freedom of avoiding letting the ship be sucked into a black hole!

Fully aware that she would be of no use to her team at the moment unless there was danger approaching, Niji set about finding something to do to pass the time. She knew that GKND operative's usually carried handheld weapons and decide to go looking for them, she was the offensive expert afterall, she felt that it was her duty to make sure her teammates were well armed. After floating about the ship for a few moments she came across a door and opened it, her eyes widened with shock and elation as she saw what was on the other side; A room with shelves stocked with various alien weapons and technologies. Some were shiny, beeping, glowing, filled with candies and came in all different shapes and sizes.
"Wow..." She breathed, floating inside. "This is so cool..." She picked up an odd looking gun with a green jelly-like substance floating inside of a blue compartment near the tip of the weapon. She raised her eyebrow curiously, tracing her fingers across the weapon.
"Hmm, I wonder what this one does.?" She said turning the device in her hands curiously. She was a bit unfamiliar with GKND weaponary, and made a mental note to ask Nebulos about it later. Just as she set aside the first weapon and reached for another the ship jilted, causing many of the weapons on the higher and middle shelves to tumble down on her head. Reacting instinctively and swiftly, she caught each weapon in using with colorful forcefield spheres, and with a wave of her arm the protective barriers set each weapon back to their original place. As the ship still trembled slightly, Niji raised her right arm and put up a sparkling rainbow wall across the shelves to protect the rest of the weapons from damage. Once the shaking ceased Niji placed her arm back at her side, allowing her sheild to disolve in a aurora of rainbow sparkles. She floated up toward the strange weapons on the higher shelves and realize that they lacked ammo, she gathered them in her arms. "I'd probably should fill these up with something." She thought, floating out of the room.

"YO DEKKI! 'NAGI! WE NEED MORE POWAH DOWN HERE!"
Dengeki and Unagi replied to Cyril's command in unison. "GOTCHA!" They rushed to the engine and opened the compartment yet again. They unplugged the wires that connected the power source and the engine. If they weren't in the gravity-less space, the ship would've come to a complete stop. Instead, it remained at a constant speed until the two identical boys pressed their tails to the sockets of the engine. The rocket surged forward yet again, but this time it stayed at the constant rate: two times faster than it was originally going. Unagi yelled back to Cyril. "HOWS THIS?" They removed their tails and plugged the wires back in.

"THAT'S GREAT, THANK YOU!" came Cyril's loud response as he modified some of the control settings; an increased speed lowered reaction time, and if he wasn't going to be paying attention, he need to be careful now.
In the engine room, Vibe scowled. "We do NOT need more power!" she insisted, walking over to the engines to check they were still in tact. "Seriously, if we go down I'm blaming you," she told them firmly as she started an all-over check of the machinery.

Following the telescope with his pale gaze, Nebulos saw the item soaring straight for Ynda, who'd already had her arms held out to catch it. Relief showed on his face through a smile and a sigh, however, it was quick to disappear when his friend had caught the telescope, but was now having difficulty keeping balance. Despite the ship's incredible speed, everything seemed to happen in slow motion. His own reactions at least ten times slower, Nebulos watched how Ynda slipped from the steps and thudded down the stairs, the telescope flying through the air once more. Her yelp was joined by one of his own, the blue boy finally taking action. Sliding from the stairs, Nebulos didn't know where to go first. Tend to his friend or prevent the soaring telescope from falling down the floor.
One thing solved the other and it was Ynda who saved the day, though involuntarily and a bit painful, when the telescope gracefully landed on her backside, rolling off her, completely undamaged. Looking a little flustered, the boy's little feet quickly pattered over to the green girl who lay on the floor, grumbling.
"Are you alright??"
He asked, sounding a bit nervous as he hurried over.
"That was quite a--"
"YO DEKKI! 'NAGI! WE NEED MORE POWAH DOWN HERE!"
"GOTCHA!"
The warning was there, but his reactions were not. For the third time, the ship lunged further into space, making Nebulos topple over, eyes widening and antennea brightning in alarm at the sudden movement. There seemed to be no getting used to this.
"We do NOT need more power!"
He could hear Vibe's voice saying, muffled from behind the door. Supporting himself on two of his arms, the small alien quickly sat up, looking a little ruffled.
"Yes, I think this will do!"
He called out, still looking a tad flustered, before he clambered to his feet, his balance now used to the ship's current speed. He chuckled a bit, still able to see the humor in all of the events, despite the discomfort they had temporarily caused. He dusted his pants, before jogging over to the telescope and carefully picking it up. He then turned around and scurried back to Ynda to make sure she was alright.
"At this rate, it might take a while before we reach the observational post."
He said as he reached her, antenena flickering as he chuckled, eyes squinting amusedly.

The ship lurched, the aliens chattered, and Etoile felt exhausted.
Now that he had done his job, and given Cyril his not-so-expert opinion, he felt as though he wasn't really needed anymore. The ship had finally stabilized out to a smooth, fast-paced flight, and the motion seemed almost lulling as it hurtled through the open space.
Out through the thick windows, Etoile could see stars, planets, and all matter of objects in the distance, all of them glimmering brightly from the small hole that he was able to peer through. The stars created pictures that he was barely able to connect together, waving at him from the space beyond.
Rolling up the map and stowing it away, he could feel the drowsiness starting to set in. The stress and events that had occurred previously were now wearing on him, and he wanted some rest before the journey truly began. A few minutes of sleep, he promised himself. Just a few minutes.
Although the floor was not as comfortable as the leaf-soil bed that he had left on D'thlany, he circled around a small space several times, his tail weaving through the air after him, and then slid to the floor, curled up into a tiny ball with his limbs pulled in tightly.
With very light snoring emitting from his nostrils, sleep overcame Etoile almost instantly, and he slipped silently into his dreams.

Some minutes later, feeling fully recovered, Nalo emerged from the bathroom. She was mildly hesitant, and glanced around surreptitiously to see if anyone was paying particular attention to her. Soon realising that no one was, she floated on through the room, indifferent to anything going on around her. Her drifting was fairly aimless, but soon she happened upon the spot where her friend was navigating before. Noticing he wasn't there anymore, she glanced around, then heard the unmistakable noise of slow, steady breathing.
Turning tentatively, she suddenly spotted the sleeping boy upon the floor. "Well that can't be comfortable" was her first thought, and she glanced either way at the others around her, wondering why they had let him sleep like that. Sighing silently, several limbs burst from her back and quietly and carefully wrapped around the boy's comatose form, careful to distribute his weight evenly so as not to disturb him.
Holding him in midair, her eyes flashed across the room, searching for somewhere more comfortable for her friend to sleep. She soon spied the seating area, and the back rows of much larger chairs, reserved for the larger aliens in the organisation. Just as she started to move towards them, she heard the rustling of paper and noticed a piece of such material falling from Etoile's suit. She grabbed it with a small limb before it could hit the ground, and although her eyes passed over it quickly, she couldn't help but notice a familiar sketch on the paper. Daring to take a closer look, her expression remained blank, but interested.
Not wanting to be caught prying, she carefully tucked the paper back into his suit, and resumed her journey across the room. Once there she was quick to place the boy down carefully in the special seats, which were plenty big enough for someone as small as he was. As her metallic limbs retracted and were reabsorbed into her body, her gaze fell on the door to the engine room, then moved to the yellow bird piloting. She just hoped they didn’t experience any further hiccups in the remainder of the trip.

Just as she was about to get up and answer Nebulos, the ship's speed increased a third time, causing Ynda to fall and roll over once. She hissed several curses under her breath that she figured an innocent boy like Nebulos shouldn't hear, all of them aimed at the twins.
Eventually, she stood and dusted herself off. In contrast with Nebulos' cheerful attitude, Ynda didn't even bother trying to see things from a positive view. She looked at the boy with a sharp glare, indicating she was back to being pissed and had little patience left before she'd attack the first alien that made her explode.
However, she didn't want Nebulos to think she was mad at him, so she quickly turned away her head. Panting some in order to restrain herself, she muttered angrily: "Let's just go already." Without asking, she took the telesope from Nebulos and climbed the stairs a second time. She figured that they'd get up faster when she held it, seeing as she was taller and stronger.

A glare was sent his way, though it hardly fazed the smaller boy, who had been accustomed to such expressions and didn't really heed them. Instead, he smiled and nodded at her suggestion, his antennea flashing gently. He was about to reply to her, but failed to do so when he was distracted by her sudden movement when she pulled the telescope out of his hands and made a turn for the stairs. Nebulos blinked for second, looking at his now empty hands. He then smiled once again, turning around and jogging after Ynda.
"Thank you!"
He said to her back as she was already up and climbing the stairs. He flashed his antennea once again, a sign which probably expressed graditiude on the planet he came from. He didn't elaborate on her act of kindness, knowing she'd just deny it if he did, and he didn't want to get her crossed. Before he reached the staircase, he had to dodge an incoming operative by passing through their legs, too late to avoid them otherwise. He was used to such actions, seeing how his striking size often made him go by unnoticed.
"Sorry, Nalo."
He said to her, once having identified the passing alien when looking up. He faltered a bit when he noticed she was holding something in her arms which looked like a bundle of cloth. Upon a better view, Nebulos saw that she was actually holding Etoile, who seemed to be sound asleep. A little chuckle escaped the blue alien, sympathizing with the yellow one. The excitement and anticipation must've taken a lot out of him. Continuing on, but with quieter steps, Nebulos bounded after Ynda and onto the stairs.
After a much swifter descend than the first, Nebulos's eyes wandered across the area at the top of the stairs, taking in the impressive surroundings. The round room could easily hold three large people, which made it a sea of space for Ynda and him. It was covered with a large, thick glass dome, which offered a spectacular view on outer space, though it zoomed by rather quickly due their current speed. Panels lined the walls, a great deal of them covered in small television screens, which each had a label beneath them, reading words such as "Front Deck", "Back left wing", "Back Deck" and so on. Each displayed an image of said area and Nebulos was quick to figure out it would also be their job to make sure the ship was kept intact in those places, in case they would be under attack. Which he hoped would not be the case.
"Wow, this is amazing!"
He exclaimed, antennea glowing bright in excitement, eyes twinkling. Looking on, he was relieved to see there was a small rise set along the panels, upon which they could move about and easily reach and observe the panels. As a Communications Officer, however, Nebulos's trained eye was drawn to a specific part of the panelling, which seemed to hold a set of different microphones. Interested, he walked over and hopped onto the platform in front of him so he could observe them. His antennea brightened in curiousity and his snowy eyes wandered across the machinery. They were, indeed, microphones and just like the television screens, they each had their specific label, which read "Steering Cabin", "Engine Room", "Navigator", "Defense Coordinator" and so on. He was quick to guess that each of these communicators was in contact with the person who currently held the position on the nametag. For safety precautions, but also because he was quite excited to do so, Nebulos decided he's better test each connection first, so he was certain he could reach the operatives if necessary. Eagerly, one of his small hands reached out to the button which read "Steering Cabin", which he knew would contact Cyril and Finnick. Chuckling a bit to himself, he pressed the button gently and called out.
"Hello, Steering Cabin! This is Numbuh 1001011, do you copy?"
He chuckled a bit more, eyes squinting joyfully. He turned his head to look over at Ynda to see what she was doing, his glistening eyes not attempting to hide his enthusiasm.

Nalo had hardly noticed the little alien, but did manage to glance at him when he apologised, sending a silent apology of her own.
Cyril had finally started to relax, complacent that the ship was on course and going plenty fast enough. His wings were folded behind his head and his talons manipulated the steering wheel as he hummed absentmindedly to himself. His traquility did not last long, however.
"Hello, Steering Cabin!" came Nebulos's distorted voice from out of a speaker on the board. Cyril's response was, perhaps, predictable.
"HOLY CRUD A TALKING SHIP!!" All sense of peace was gone as he flapped his wings in alarm, dark blue eyes wide in surprise and amazement.
"This is Numbuh 1001011, do you copy?" the voice continued, and after a few moments the bird calmed down, bemused.
"What? ... " he blinked, staring at the control board, trying to determine the source of the voice. He was about to yell something about Nebulos being trapped inside the ship when he noticed a speaker and microphone, and several buttons labelled with the names of different areas of the ship. One of them had flashed when Nebulos's voice had appeared, and Cyril hesitantly, very hesitantly, eyes tightly closed, pressed it. When nothing blew up, he opened his eyes again.
"Copy! Copy copy copy!" was his eager response. "Hehe this is fun!" he giggled happily, a wide grin evident even with his beak.

Hmm. I think we need some excitement. ;D
--
Deep breathing punctuated the sound of the small alien sleeping, although it wasn't obvious to anyone who wasn't listening for it. With a head tucked into the nook of his arm, his legs pulled in close to his body, and his tail draped over the side of the chair, waving back and forth slowly, it looked as though he was already deep in the caverns of sleep.
The dreams were flashes of his planet, colorful and confusing. He could see the large orange trees, dotted with their blue markings and hanging leaves. The scarlet water of the river near his town rushed loudly, glinting like their fingertips in the light of the sun. Large stalks of violet grain waved at him in the breeze, sending their seeds in to the distance.
And somewhere, somewhere, Tala laughed. The joyous sound made his dream-self turn, search, reach, but she was nowhere to be found. She just laughed again and then the sound vanished into the towering Forest of Secrets.
Just as he was about to follow her, something struck the ship, and Etoile jerked awake as he almost fell out of the chair, gripping onto the side to keep from toppling off the side.
In an instant, he was on his feet, looking around wildly to find the source of the disturbance. But it was apparent when he looked out of the small window and saw a rock moving away through the empty space.
Confusion swept over him. They weren't supposed to be at the asteroid belt yet, not for another little while. But the ship seemed to be going faste-. . . oh.
Scrambling to move into the pilot's room, he burst out quickly, "Cyril, we've hit one of the asteroid belts, you have to be careful or we'll damage the ship!" And then he ran back out again, to look through the windows once more.
The asteroids were everywhere, floating peacefully but huge in their hidden danger. It would be like a minefield trying to navigate through the treacherous space, and the field of rocks seemed to stretch on for miles on all sides.
"Milo-Lee!" She was the defensive system, right? Etoile ran over to her, his hands pleading for her to help. "You're defenses, right? We're in the asteroid belt and we've got to keep them from hitting the ship again! I can help you, too, I can try! And maybe we can get Niji to help, too!" His eyes cast around for the girl that he had met earlier.
Telekinesis on the huge rocks would be difficult, but he wanted to help, and that was the only way that he could think of. Anxiously waiting for her answer, his fingertips had darkened to a bloody color in his nervousness. It would take extra care to make it through such a thick stretch of rocks.

The quake that rocked the ship sent Vibe tumbling in surprise, and she was lucky to be caught by a twin nearby. "What-the-hell-how-did-he-crash-ALREADY-I-TOLD-YOU-IT-WAS-A-BAD-IDEA...!" were the fast paced words that left her mouth moments later.
"Woaah!" was Cyril's response to suddenly becoming aware of the masses of rocks ahead of them, only realising when the ship collided with one of them. He was quick to grab the steering wheel with both wings (on reflection, maybe the feet were better for steering) when Etoile ran up.
"Cyril, we've hit one of the asteroid belts, you have to be careful or we'll damage the ship!"
The boy had scurried away before Cyril could reply, but reply he did.
"I'm steering, I'm steering!!" he chirped, slowing the ship down to a still unreasonable level but better than before.
Nalo had fallen against a machine jutting out of the wall when the shaking of the ship threw her off balance, her fingerless hands clawing at the contraption for support. She returned to her vertical stance in seconds, however, and was quick to glance out of the windows and realise the problem.
It only took her a few more moments to notice her previously comatose friend running around trying to keep control of the situation, but glancing around she wondered when on earth she could be useful. She'd seen Nebulos and Ynda take up the Look-Out stance; Cyril and Finnick seemed to having piloting under control; and Etoile was rushing to keep up their defenses. What could she do? For the moment, she observed the harmless looking rocks through a circular window, her eyes analytical and calculating.

While filling up the empty weapons with the necessary substances required when she glanced out the window for a quick second and what she saw made her do a double take. In shock she dropped the ultra sticky plasma gun and rushed over to the window where she saw...Asteroids. Lots of asteroids. Some were rounded, some were jagged, some had large craters in them, and from her travels in space she knew that they were all capable of causing the ship immense damage. "We have to find a way to get safely out of this asteroid belt!" She ran back to the main control room, to find Milo-Lee who was in charge of the defense systems.
"Guys, we're going to be in big trouble if we don't get out of this belt soon." She said in a worried tone. She glanced out the window and cringed slightly as she heard the light scraping of rock against metal. "Maybe I can be of some help..." She said as her hands and the little gem on her forehead started to glow with vibrant colors.
