Can we bring in a wee bit of a change? X3
- - - - -
As his friend voiced her worries out loud, Nebulos smiled sympathetically and patted her colourful hair once more.
"Don't worry, Niji. You know Dengeki and Unagi, they won't go down so easily! They're tough guys, I'm sure they'll be alright. We could go check on them if you li--"
But the rest of Nebulos's sentence would never be finished, because at that very moment, an alarm started blaring across the room.
PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW!
Incredibly startled, the little alien almost toppled off Niji's head. His eyes grew large in surprise and his antennae brightened a great deal. Flustered and alarmed, he quickly steadied himself onto the princess's head, clutching her tiara for support, looking quite baffled.
"What's that?!"
He called, his kiddy-voice raised to try and drown out the high-pitched sound of the alarm. Two hands covered the side of his head where his ears supposedly were, while he used the two others to hold onto Niji's crown. In the meanwhile, a red light had started to flash across the room, going along with the rhythm of the alarm's squeals, making the small boy's skin shift from blue to purple every few seconds. Bemused, Nebulos tried to look through one of the ship's windows. Surely, it wasn't possible they had entered another asteroid belt or meteor shower? Judging from the minor speed the ship was currently flying at, it was near impossible such a thing had gone by unnoticed. Everything had been fine when he had left his Look Out post just a few minutes ago. That really couldn't be it. He was about to speak his concerns, when another voice, a female computer one, was ahead of him.
"Warning. Warning. Unidentified ship approaching from south-east. Warning. Unidentified ship approaching from south-east. Approaching with a speed at 23.000 gallon-miles per hour."
If possible, Nebulos's pale eyes grew even larger at this unexpected message. Unidentified ship? He gasped, antennae illuminating along with it. Anxious, he jumped off Niji's head, meaning to make way for his Look Out post. What on Lumin could this possibly mean? Slightly disorientated, Nebulos didn't have a clue where the south-east corner could possibly be. Was it ahead of them or behind them? And who was on that ship? Did it mean them harm? Or was it just passing by?
"What timing of an unidentified ship to pass by!"
He squeaked nervously, two hands still covering his ears. He glanced over at the door where the twins were, dearly hoping they were alright. Everyone had barely recovered from the asteroid attack and now this!
- - - - -
Who'll be on that ship? Hoho! >3 I hope this is okay X3 I felt like something kinda needed to happen. But if it's not, I'll change it ^^ I also broke off the post here, before the post got too long X3; So everyone can panic a bit or something XD

Etoile was frowning slightly, a bit worried over his surrogate older brothers that had taken such a hit. His mind was churning at a million miles a second, thinking about how he might go help them, if he even could help them, if-
PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW!
His ears perked upward and then drooped again worriedly, and his eyes became wide and alert. They had just gotten out of a problem, what could it possibly be this time? There was no way that they could handle another attack, not now!
"Warning. Warning. Unidentified ship approaching from south-east. Warning. Unidentified ship approaching from south-east. Approaching with a speed at 23.000 gallon-miles per hour."
A sound of disgust escaped Etoile's throat as the alarm blared noisily into his ears. As the Navigator, he didn't play a part in something that involved an unidentified ship, but he couldn't just stand here and let something bad happen to everyone.
A red-tipped hand rested briefly on Nalo's upper arm before he slid out of their embrace, silently apologizing for the disrupting factor even though it wasn't his fault at all. His long strides took him to the window with Nebulos, where he peered out into empty space.
"I don't see a ship," he muttered, and then glanced a look at the other side of their rocket. That didn't mean that it wasn't arriving. Etoile grimaced and rubbed his head, feeling the pounding that was beginning to grow deep in his lobes.
Nebulos' anxious exclamation was heard, and Etoile realized that even if he couldn't do anything as a navigator, he could do something as Etoile.
"We-" Too soft. Try again. "If we can handle an asteroid belt, we can handle this, too." He faced his small blue friend and attempted a reassuring smile. "We can take care of this!" One of his arms stretched out so that he could show them the fingertips that had already begun to glow in the dim light, signifying that he was ready, and he would help.
-- D'OHOHO, JAS, PERFECT TIMING. ;D I WONDER WHO'S ON THE SHIP, HMMM. ;D

YES! I'M SO CURIOUS, AREN'T YOU? - - - - - Nebulos had his face and all four hands pressed against the glass, his white eyes looking from left to right in hope to catch a glimpse of the incoming vehicle. Which he failed to do. "If we can handle an asteroid belt, we can handle this, too." Upon hearing his teammate's encouraging words, Nebulos pulled his face off the window and looked up at him, finding himself looking straight in the taller's alien face. Nebulos noticed his attemptive smile and could see how Etoile, though unsure, was doing his best to settle the situation. Just the fact he tried to do this, was all the reassurance this blue alien needed. A broad smile curved upon the smaller alien's blue features, antennae glinting. "We can take care of this!" A yellow hand was held out to him and Nebulos watched how its vermilion fingers had begun to alight determinedly. Beaming up at Etoile, as though all panic was long forgotten, Nebulos extended his own tiny hand and took hold of a red finger (seeing how his hand was a bit to smile to clasp Etoile's) and shook it. "Yeah! I know we can!" Nebulos chirped in return, eyes turning into happy crescents once more. A soft pink glow was emitted where hand and finger met, Nebulos own white light mixing with that of his comrade. It was like an unspoken pact. Everything would be alright. "Maybe we can see something from up there!" He said, pointing over at the stairs which led to his Look Out station, after releasing Etoile's hand. A brief mental image of his telescope flashed through his mind, but it was all Nebulos needed to jump off the windowsill and dash over to the staircase. Faster than before, the small alien bolted up the steps, looking very similar to a rabbit, using both hands and feet to climb. Once upstairs, and almost out of breath, the little boy clambered atop the rise which ran across the glass dome's walls. He looked up, left, right, and all around him. Space and stars everywhere he looked, but no sign of an incoming ship. He didn't know just how far their ship's radar system worked, so it was very well possible that the incoming vehicle wasn't visible for the Luminarian eye just yet. Luckily, he had equipment nearby to lend his eye a hand. Nimbly, a bit apprehensive, but determined all the same, Nebulos jogged over to the television screens, where he'd left the White Lady's gift earlier that day. With the necessary effort, the little alien lifted the item off the ground. He adjusted a few settings on the telescope's lenses and then peered through it. He then pulled his eye away and turned the binoculars around, as he had been looking through it the other way around. Nebulos swiveled around a bit, the item being a bit too large for him too hold, but once he had steadied it, he let out a yelp. "There it is!! I can see it!!" He exclaimed, not knowing if anyone was there to hear him. Coincidentally, once Nebulos had manage to get a firmer grasp on the overly large telescope, he had caught a glimpse of an incoming vehicle. It was a mere two centimeters tall when looking through the binoculars, but, Nebulos knew, if they were traveling at 23.000 gallon-miles per hour, a simple calculation proved that it would only be a matter of minutes before the unknown spaceship was to get near theirs. Venturing another look, the little boy tried to study the spaceship more closely, but it was still too far away to make out its exact size, or a possible logo on the side. "It's right behind us!" He called, his grip tightening on the telescope's handle. "I'm guessing it's about 280.000 gallon-miles away!"

In the engine room, Cyril had just returned from the bathroom with a large bucket of water.
"COME ON YOU GUUUYS WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ENGINE OIL!" and with those words he poured the contents of the bucket on their faces.
PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW!
"I didn't do it! I didn't do it!" Dropping the bucket with a loud clattering noise, he flapped out into the main area of the ship to see what the commotion was.
"I didn't do it either!" was Vibe's response from the steering cabin.
"Warning. Warning. Unidentified ship approaching from south-east. Warning. Unidentified ship approaching from south-east. Approaching with a speed at 23.000 gallon-miles per hour."
Cyril flapped and flustered his way over to the steering cabin to take over from Vibe. "I know what I'm doing!" "I'm sure you do..." As the female wandered back over to the engine room to check the twins were still alive, she noticed the liquid seeping out from under the door. "Cyril what did you do..." "THEY DIDN'T WAKE UP YET." Vibe groaned, and went to determine their life status.
Nalo, having been left by Etoile who had more important things to do, wasn't entirely sure what to do with herself again, so she resumed what she had done during the asteroid belt problem; nothing. Well, she floated back and forth between posts to ensure everything was still running smoothly, but apart from that.

The splash of the cold water against his skin was enough to wake Unagi. He looked up slowly in time to see Cyril drop the water bucket and fly out of the room. The loud siren prevented him from falling back asleep, so he sat up, rubbing his hand. Glancing at his brother, who still lay on the ground, he uttered a soft "What's.....going on?" He started to lick the water off of his arm in order to rid himself of the horrible cotton-mouth his was experiencing.
Dengeki sat up as well and looked at Unagi. "Siren." He said, still too weak to use complete sentances. "Ship." The boy struggled to stand, offering a hand to his companion.
The purple-eyed kid slowly grabbed Dengeki's wrist and started to get up. Unfortunately, the weight of the boy combined with their weak state caused Dengeki to topple over, onto his brother. They muttered a simultaneous "Ow."
Upon hearing Vibe's entrance to the room, Unagi sat back up, quickly. "Help?" He smiled sheepishly at the girl.

Vibe took one look at the twins and rolled her eyes, at both Cyril's bright idea and the boy's inability to sustain their weights yet. "What do you expect me to do about it?" she asked indifferently. "If you can't stand, just stay on the floor until you can," she suggested unhelpfully, but to make up for it she crossed the room and sat down on the damp floor with them.

Etoile watched Nebulos scurry over to his telescope and lift the object with all of the might that his body could exert. The alarm was still obnoxiously blaring around for all to hear, and it was getting into the concave caverns of his ears, so he flattened them slightly against his head, blocking out the noise so that he could better register the situation. Once he had done that, he was able to focus again, watching Cyril take command of the ship while Vibe went back into the engine room.
He wouldn't be any help in either of those places, so he instead followed Nebulos, leaning closer to the ship when Nebulos had exclaimed that he had seen it. The exclamation followed an estimation of the speed, and Etoile tried to visibly judge the distance in his head, pulling on his skill for numbers to guesstimate the time that they would arrive.
A look of horror dawned on his pale yellow face. "That means they'll catch up to us any minute now," he repeated aloud, confirming Nebulos' own calculations only seconds earlier. His fingers tightened around the steel bar that he was holding until his knuckles were a bloodless, tense white.
Frowning, he turned to logistics to aid the situation. "We don't know that they're hostile." The statement was almost a plea that it might come true and save them from anymore trouble. "The White Lady could just be sending us more supplies." It was an empty guess that was more hopeful than it was strategic, but he had his fingers crossed. Handling a threat would be difficult at their current state.
But that might be reality, he noted with a thick sigh that seemed to roll through his entire system, his atennae drooping downward to hang into his face. "But if it's a threat, we've got our defense system, and we'll do our best, right?" His fingers began to emit a lighter glow, as if to affirm his words. "Any second now, we'll be able to see."
Holding his breath, Etoile tightened his grip on the steel bar and watched the ship fly forward with his bare eyes, mentally preparing himself to be ready for any kind of attack.

"Right!"
Nebulos replied, slightly anxiously, but determined all the same, as his friend wondered about the strange ship's intentions. He, too, sincerely hoped the incoming vehicle was not a treat, but rather a help. Biting his bottom lip, Nebulos lowered the telescope. Etoile had been right. It had only been a matter of seconds, and now they were able to see a little speck in the distance, coming steadily towards them.
"I sure hope they're friendly..."
He had his face squashed against the ship's windows once again, his light reflecting in the thick glass. He couldn't bear to consider what would happen if they had to endure another attack. Etoile and Niji had barely recovered from their previous actions (and they hadn't even had candy yet!) and the twins hadn't shown themselves yet (the ruckus of Cyril and the bucket having gone lost due the current circumstances). Nebulos hated to think what would happen if they had to sustain another impact. Of course, if force was required, this little alien would give it his very best trying to defend his team and ship. But if it depended on him, things didn't need to be solved by battle.
"We didn't have to cross any other planets's territory when heading out to our destination, right?"
Nebulos inquired, pulling his face off the cold glass again and turning it to the yellow boy beside him. He hadn't watched the map Etoile was given very closely, but he couldn't remember him saying anything about them having to cross any enemy lines before reaching the destined planet.
"...Or maybe it's just a patrol..."
He reasoned hopefully, turning back to observe the incoming ship. Done so, his antennae flashed in alarm, startled when seeing how close the incoming ship had suddenly become. His snowy eyes widened and his bolts flashed twice, his hands glued against the glass dome.
"It's right there! How's that possible?? How could it possibly have gotten--"
He faltered, eyes widening yet again. He tilted his head, bangs falling to the side as he did.
"...It's a small ship..."
The said softly, almost a whisper. It seemed to be true. Given the ship's size, it had created an optical illusion of being at quite a distance still. But giving it a closer look, the vehicle was nowhere near as large as theirs. It was more like a pod, suited for short-distance traveling. His anxiety began to mix with slight confusion. Battle ships usually weren't designed as small as those, but it didn't make Nebulos any less wary. After all, you could never judge something by its size. He and his fellow squirts had proved this fact to adult aliens many times before.
"...And it's slowing down!"
He uttered, antennae flashing in alarm once again, eyes enlarging. His hands were still on the glass, but now balled into tiny fists, stressing his nervous state. The unidentified ship was indeed losing speed. It was mere miles away from them. The fact that there hadn't been any laser guns involved so far, was a slight relief for Nebulos, but he was still unsure of what to do next. He looked back up at Etoile again, seeing if he, perhaps, had an idea.

"We didn't have to cross any other planets's territory when heading out to our destination, right?"
"Uhmm. . ."
Etoile scratched his head for a second and then bolted away to his navigational station, leaping over a smaller chair in the process. He had to remember while he was there that he couldn't get distracted by the shiny knobs and interesting-looking buttons; there was too much at hand. Snatching the map up, he ran back to where Nebulos was standing and unraveled it quickly.
His eyes roamed over the surface slowly, but he was able to find their location much faster, especially because the asteroid belt had taken up several square inches of the map and he was able to judge their location off of that. His finger traced their path and he watched for any planets that they might come across while flying through the empty space.
"No, none! There's one right here, but it's way off of our course, and I don't think we're in it's territory." Unless the pilot had somehow managed to get them extremely off-course, but Etoile was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Etoile frowned and looked at the ship again, startled to see how close it was. And the he heard Nebulos' exclamation and it all made sense. But it didn't lessen his nerves at all, although some small fact seemed to start nagging in the back of his mind.
"If it's small, and it's slowing down, then it can't be much of a threat," he replied, frowning at his blue friend. "Even if they were that small, if they were going to attack us, they would keep the same speed, right? Hit-and-run maneuvers to keep us from hitting back, that would make sense. But if they're slowing down, they're basically giving us the chance to see them, make judgments, and hit them if they show any sign of the threat."
He leaned closer to the window and tried to inspect the ship, although Nebulos would get a much better look through his telescope then Etoile could get with his bare eyes. "It doesn't look threatening, though," he murmured, blue gaze narrowed into examining slits.
He could sense his companion's anxiety, signaled by the balling of his fists against the cold window. Feeling the same way, he tried to voice what he hoped would reassure them both. "Since we don't know what they are, I'm not going to attack yet." He didn't know about anyone else - hopefully no one would attack potential space control officers or something. "We'll see what they want. But at the first sign of offense from them, they're going down."

Unagi looked at Vibe, hurt that she refused to help him, but his expression relaxed when she went over and sat next to the twins. Unagi shifted his position so that he could lie on her lap, facing up so that he could look at her. His voice had withered into a quiet whisper. "What's......going on?", he questioned, hoping that he'd get at least some insight on the events occurring. Before he let Vibe answer, he let out a groan. A nauseous feeling came over him and his body shook. Two drops of the bright substance slid down his cheek.
Dengeki rubbed his temples slowly, leaning his back on the machinery behind him. His legs were bent, knees almost touching his chin. His nausea was still present, pink 'tears' flowing almost freely from his eyes. The splash of water wasn't enough to fully hydrate him, and he needed to drink something in order to gain his ability to walk back. "Vibe," He started, his voice not as raspy as before. "Water?" His smile strained his mouth, making it ache due to the dryness.

"I'm not sure," Vibe informed him, wiping the fluid from his cheeks with her gloved fingers. "Something about an incoming vehicle. Since we haven't been hit by anything, I'd assume it's not hostile. Yet." Glancing at Dengeki when he made his request, she groaned, not wanting to get up again. So she enlisted the help of her servant.
"Cyril!"
"What?"
"You busy?"
"No!"
"Get your boyfriend something to drink!"
"On it!"
The clattering of him retrieving another vessel was heard, and within a few moments he was throwing himself into the room, holding two large (compared to him anyway) metallic beakers full of water, which he handed to Dengeki before flapping off backwards out of the room again.
"Such a clumsy boy," Vibe commented quietly, since he'd spilt almost half the water on the way in.

"Yeah..."
Nebulos said, nodding softly. He agreed with Etoile. So far, the unidentified ship hadn't given them any hostile signs. And looking at the ship's size, it didn't look like it held many people. It looked like it could fit about four Vibes, but it might as well meant that it could fit about twenty Nebulosses. If the strangers inside the ship were general sized, Sector Sun probably had them outnumbered. But still, caution was required, at any costs. ... The ship was really getting close now. And the more it neared, the more speed it started to lose. It certainly didn't look like it was trying to pass them. It looked more the other way around. It still confused Nebulos a bit. Their actions were most peculiar. Almost as if...
"Hey, Etoile?"
He asked, his head turning to his teammate, but his white eyes not leaving the ship at their tail.
"Do you think they might be--"
But the next of his sentence was drawn out when suddenly a cracking, static noise was coming out of the speaker next to the monitor screens. This startled Nebulos, who almost toppled off the platform, but managed to stabilize himself at the last second by grabbing onto the railing. His antennae flashed in surprise, his widened eyes staring at the intercom. He figured he didn't need to be so surprised, and that it was probably just Cyril or Vibe or another operative contacting them to ask what was going on. He'd been staring at the ship so intensely, the sudden noise had come as quite a shock. Shaking his head softly, Nebulos got up, meaning to walk over to the communicator, but then a voice came out. And it wasn't Cyril's. Or Vibe's.
"Attention, Sector SUN. Sector SUN, do you copy?"
If possible, Nebulos's eyes widened even more. He looked over at Etoile, shock and bafflement showing quite clearly on his little blue face. He didn't recognize the voice that came out of there at all. And what was even more shocking, was that the stranger's voice knew their Sector's name... And their team only existed for mere hours! Mouth agape, the Luminarian boy stared down at the speaker phone, as if it had slapped him across the face. His eyes had also found the little led screen on the bottom of the intercom, which displayed a set of numbers. On a label above it said "Incoming Coordinates", which probably indicated the incoming transmission's position. Though Nebulos could see the numbers blinking on the panel, he didn't really need them to realize where the transmission was coming from... His eyes wandered back towards the glass, focusing on the ship behind them, which had come even closer.
"...Do you copy, Sector SUN?"
It sounded again, which shook Nebulos out of his baffled state. The voice which sounded over the speaker phone sounded rather emotionless and business-like.
"Uhh..."
Nebulos stuttered, glancing over at Etoile once more. He wasn't quite sure of what to do... But either way, just standing here wasn't going to get them anywhere. And he was a Communications Officer after all. And thus...
"Umm... Y-Yeah, this is S-Sector SUN... Numbuh 1001011 reporting..."
He said nervously, once his tiny finger had pushed the blinking dot next to the speaker. His antennae continued to shed a bright light, indicating his anxiety. He glanced up at Etoile again, as if hoping for some kind of confirmation that he'd done the right thing by replying. He was about to turn back and ask for some more information, but the voice was ahead of him.
"Roger that, Numbuh 1001011. This is Ship XR-64, asking for permission to dock on your spaceship."
The returning answer was very direct and to the point, which startled Nebulos even more. But not as much as what happened next.
"NO, WE'RE NOT ASKING PERMISSION!"
Another, much more expressive voice boomed out of the speaker phone, sending Nebulos flying almost all over again. Bemused, he clutched onto the railing, staring at the microphone with huge eyes.
"I HAVE BUSINESS TO TAKE CARE OF!"
Much happened at once. Nebulos had barely recovered from the very unusual conversation and next thing he knew, the ship behind them started swaying around. Mind-boggled, the blue boy's posture seemed frozen as he observed how the odd ship suddenly jerked to the side, gained speed and passed them to the left, appearing out of sight. Little time there was to handle, because mere seconds later, there was a big CLUNK heard, the sound of metal hitting metal.
"They've hit out ship!"
Nebulos cried out, his little finger pointing to one of the monitor screens, which showed the ship had attached itself onto theirs.

Etoile followed Nebulos' own shock and amazement as the ship requested attention. He crossed over to the intercom next to the little blue alien and pressed an ear up to the speaker while Nebulos responded, trying to see if the voices were ones that they might recognize. When a voice came over, his face appeared thoughtful as he analyzed it, but no faces came to his mind. Until the second voice came on, loud and demanding. "NO, WE'RE NOT ASKING PERMISSION! I HAVE BUSINESS TO TAKE CARE OF!" Etoile's eyes became huge against his face as the voice pricked at his memory, but he didn't have time to think about it as suddenly a CLUNK shook the ship and knocked it slightly. They had flown straight into the docking bay. . . which meant that whoever they were, they'd be in the ship in a matter of seconds. "Let's go!" he told Nebulos, turning to face the docking bay, but he didn't have time as suddenly that loud, belligerent voice came bellowing out of the corridor that tunneled down toward the docking bay. One of his hearts gave a little twist as it tugged as his memory again. "Tala? What are you doing her-" "YOU ARE SO DEAD, FLASHLIGHT!" She must have leaped out of the ship and come sprinting up the corridor, with how fast she appeared in the main room with the other aliens. It was like looking in a distorted mirror. The same high cheekbones, the lithe frame, the same darkened fingertips. . . but no, not a mirror. Because her hair hung in a large green ringlet and her eyes blazed a hot orange compared to his blue. She was like a field of foliage and high-reaching trees, with her cool-colored tones, while Etoile looked like he belonged in a volcano of hot, warm-colored twisting tones. And the girl was slightly smaller, with a more feminine build. But mostly, it was the look of pure, hot-red rage that was burning in the center of her eyes, the one that completely contrasted his gentle expression. In a flash, she was barreling across the room, and Etoile let out a grunt as a flash of her fists began pounding into his gut, knocking him backward. "YOU COULD HAVE KILLED YOURSELF! WE SAW YOU ON THE RADAR ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE SHIP WITH THOSE ASTEROIDS AND YOU AND THAT OTHER GIRL AND THEN YOU FREAKING COLLAPSED AND I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!" "I'm fine, I'm- AH! FINE, I'M FINE!" He ducked to try to avoid her flying fists that were hitting every inch of surface on him that they could possibly fine. He was used to Tala's rages, but this was by far the worst. He began to run from her, leaping over chairs and ducking around them to avoid her as she sprinted after him in all of the rage that she could muster. She caught up to him in an instant and was upon him again, her fists striking against his skin. "I'M GOING TO STRANGLE YOU, GLOWSTICK, YOU CAN BET ON IT!" "AH!" He ducked again, using his arm as a shield. "Doesn't that defeat the purpose of me surviving?!" But logic wouldn't stop her, not when she was blind with fury. He knew her far too well to be able to guess that his words would make any kind of difference in her actions. Etoile could guess that it was only her worry that was making her overreact, but until she was able to calm down, he would be unable to stop her. Sometimes, he could hardly believe that she was his sister. -- BY THE WAY, GUYS, THIS IS TALA: nocturnerising.deviantart.com/art/Tala-Ganmade-145653055

Everyone in the ship must be looking at the source of the yells, and Vibe, Cyril and Nalo were no different.
"What the heck is going on out there?!" Vibe asked no one in particular, cringing a little from the powerful angry vibes she could feel all the way from the engine room. Whoever was rampaging was surely some serious business.
Cyril had turned around in his chair to watch the scenario, beak hanging open in astonishment. Anyone watching could guess the relation between the two aliens, which made her fury even more shocking. Was it sibling rivlary or sibling compassion?? It was near impossible to tell. For once, at least, Cyril was certain that it wasn't his fault.
Watching this situation flash back and forth before her vision, Nalo felt a bit lost. She had, like many others, guessed the relation, but the reaction to Etoile's near death experience completely surprised her. She was only reading anger in the girls body, leaving her confused. But whatever the motive, that pounding was completely unnecessary. Suddenly darting forward from her stationary spot, Nalo swooped after the chase as several limbs shot out from her back, and some of them lashed out and managed to grasp the girl's limbs, but a few of them slipped off, the little alien's rage being too much for her to get much grip on the flurry of motion.

"Let's go!"
Nebulos, who had still been staring bemusedly at the television screen, turned his head in surprise when Etoile took action so suddenly. He turned his head around, barely able to see the tip of his tail round the corner and down the stairs.
"Oh, right! I'm coming!"
He called out, his actions a second slower than those of his friend. Hastily, he jumped off the small rise and bolted after Etoile. He decided to take the faster route again, which meant he lept onto the banister again and slid the way down, his descend a tad more elegant than the first, but still a bit clumsy nonetheless.
"They've arrived in the docking bay!"
He cried out to the operatives down in the room, not knowing if they'd realized what was going on. His arms flew up in the air as he exclaimed this statement, bolts flashing nervously. He couldn't see Etoile anywhere in the room, which probably meant he'd already headed out to the docking station. Indeed, since as he looked at the door leading to said station, he could see it was ajar. But barely had he made a move for the door, when...
"YOU ARE SO DEAD, FLASHLIGHT!"
Suddenly, two Etoiles burst from the door, their rush causing little Nebulos to fall over, arms flailing and antennae flashing in alarm. Screams and yells lingered in his ears, which he was almost unable to register. Hurriedly, Nebulos clambered to his feet, looking very flustered. Eyes wide, he looked up to see what was going on and where Etoile's twin had come from. There it was, screeching, and clutched in Nalo's limbs, who seemed to have made an attempt to steady the alien, who seemed rather hostile towards the other. However, upon giving the stranger a better look, Nebulos could see it didn't look entirely like Etoile.
Firstly, it was a girl. Her voice was higher than Etoile's, though not as soft. And her hair, much in contrast to that of Etoile, was a vivid green. Baffled, mouth agape, Nebulos stared at the girl. It didn't take too long to figure out she was the same species as Etoile. But what was she doing here? Where'd she come from? And why was she screeching so loudly. He was so taken aback by this sudden appearance, he almost didn't notice someone else entering. The corner of his eyes caught movement and, instinctively, Nebulos looked to the side. What he saw on the threshold, stunned him even more.
A pair of bright green eyes stared into the room. For some reason, the eyes is the first thing Nebulos caught when looking at this new arrival. A bush of smooth, dark blue hair covered the creatures face, which ended into a mane at the back of his head. He had a small protruding snout, a pink nose, and light blue markings around the edge of his face. He wore an elaborate looking uniform, with a lot of pockets and a set of shoulder plates. A long, dark red stick was carried on his back, and overall, he looked as if he'd rather belong somewhere in a native army than on a high tech spaceship. His expression revealed no emotion and was slightly stern. Though he hadn't a word, Nebulos felt a strange aura coming from this creature. It wasn't hostile or angry, but rather intimidating, and he somehow seemed to "fill" the room, even though he'd entered so quietly, seeming undisturbed by all the ruckus.
Nebulos stared at him in awe, mouth dropping. He seemed rather out of place in the interior. Quietly, and almost serene, the creature blinked once, and then had his eyes set on the Luminarian boy once he'd reopened them. This startled Nebulos, whose antennae flickered when the creature's gaze bored into his. It wasn't an angry stare, but it was quite piercing. And quite unnerving. It made Nebulos look away, feeling slightly embarrassed and not sure knowing where to look. He almost felt like he'd been caught doing something he couldn't. The taller boy continued to stare at him for a bit, but then removed his gaze and set it back on the scenery in front of him, still saying nothing, his face a mask. Apprehensively, Nebulos glanced back up at the odd alien, utterly bemused at its character. However, one with good perception could detect the small flicker in the creature's eyes. Almost unnoticeable, his piercing green eyes took in the room, shifting from the left to the right, as if he was looking for something. And still, he said nothing. What an odd boy indeed...
