Unagi let out a small "Huh?" in surprise. When he noticed Vibe's examination of his body's state, he muttered yet another "I'm fine", but this time shivering involuntarily. Drawing his arms closer to him, he looked away in a quick attempt to hide the blue tint on his face as he blushed. He sighed and looked back at her shyly. "You know, we never hug each other and get all romantic anymore"
With that sentence, the boy leaned forward towards Vibe, intending to kiss her. Before their lips made contact, he whispered, half to himself , half to her, "I miss this". Their lips had barely touched when Unagi was startled by a noise, causing him to pull back quickly. He looked up to see Dengeki, standing in the doorway of the room, leaning on it for support. He spoke with a smirk.
"Did I catch you two at a bad time?"
Unagi, still recovering from the shock, spoke slowly. "N-no, we were just...talking."
"If by talking, you mean fornicating."
"S-shut up!!!"
Dengeki let out an exaggerated sigh. "Well, I thought you'd like to know what the commotion was all about." He paused for a dramatic effect and an answer from his mirror image. "Anyway, some dude and a chick came on the ship. She's pretty cute, the chick. Etoile's sister"

Tala let out an obstinate little roll of her orange eyes, looking exasperated as though she had seen it coming. "Of course Etoile hasn't told you guys about me. He doesn't even want me to be in the Kids Next Door. He's an overprotective little glowworm, no doubt."
Throwing a glance over her shoulders, she caught Etoile's eye and stuck her blue tongue out at him. The boy easily returned the face for a split second, pulling down one of his eyelids with a red-tipped finger.
No doubt about it; they were related.
But she went back to her conversation as though nothing had happened. "This seems true," she told Niji, grinning and trying to mentally calculate the ratio of boys to girls. "What they don't know is that I could beat any of them at anti-gravity surfing."
Throwing the princess a wink, she grinned at Nebulos and looked almost delighted. "I swear, you are like the cutest thing I've ever seen! If everyone on Lumin is this cute, then I know where I'm traveling someday!" Laughing, she adjusted her white shirt, rubbing the red jewel on it to wipe it clean. "Hey, no, feel free to call my brother 'Flashlight,' he'll probably answer to it anyway."
Her fingers began to light up with a faint green color, steadily growing brighter as she lifted into the air and settled into a sitting position, floating in the air while she faced all of them as though she was sitting on an invisible chair. The light around her sent only bare reflections of jade light across her pale yellow skin.
When she was sure that he was looking at her, the girl caught Masurao's eyes and then crossed her own eyes. "I'm just saying," she informed him loftily, "you might not want to spit out information about people that they don't know that you know. It's a bit creepy. If I came up to you and said, 'Oh, you must be Masurao, with Taurus as your astrological sign and your bouncing baby brother and oh, by the way, how is your ingrown toenail doing?' and you'd never seen me before, that would be freaky, right?"
She doubted any of what she had said was true, but thought silently to herself that it would be rather funny if it was.

Milo-Lee was still chasing Finnick around the ceiling. She paused for a moment to to catch her breath. She panted slightly and shook her arms in a quick attempt to dry her sweat-soaked fur. She glanced down at the aliens gathered below, eyes darting from kid to kid. "Tala, Niji... anyone!" She cried, her voice rough from her dry mouth. "Can you give me a hand? I think Finnick's brain's busted." She chuckled dryly a bit at the end, still trying to catch her breath. She glanced at Finnick again, who was still babbling and flying swiftly around the ceiling. "I might be able to get him down there, if someone can catch him..."

Though he had heard such a compliment before, Nebulos never failed to blush at it. A purple hue rose to his cheeks as he cast his pale eyes down modestly, shoulders hunched, and tapping his index fingers together.
"G-Gee, thanks..."
The little boy chuckled shyly, putting one hand behind his head to scratch his white locks meekly, blushing still. Living on a planet where a kid his size was considered average, it had been quite a surprise when he'd entered the Galactic Kids Next Door for the first time, and had seen how tall most of the others aliens were. Though he'd gotten squeals and 'awws' out of many a creature before, he still blushed shyly whenever given this compliment. Not that he minded. Such exclamations were usually accompanied by a hug or a cuddle, something Luminians were rather fond of. They like warmth after all.
Nebulos looked up again as the girl in front of him spoke up and he smiled widely, bringing a hand to his mouth and giggling behind it, small shoulders shaking.
"I am sometimes called similar names."
He said, his chuckles lingering still. The bolts atop his head flashed a few times and he raised a hand, which he made glow faintly as well.
"I guess you can see why! It does come in handy though, if one of my friends ever needs a light at night."
Eyes happy curves, the little alien chuckled again, antennae glinting joyfully as he did. White optics opened and were turned to the quiet, new boy once again as Tala tuned to face Masurao, pointing out several things to him. Another quiet fit of chortles followed, which Nebulos hid behind his hand. Etoile's sister really seemed to have an outspoken personality.
Which contrasted a great deal with the wolf-like alien she'd been speaking to. Masurao, once being addressed, turned his head again when Tala spoke to him, the tip of his tail flicking from left to right metronomicly. His eyebrows were slightly raised, which seemed to indicate he was actually rather interested in what she had to say. They left their high-level however, as Tala gave a short impression of the boy she was floating in front of. His nose scrunched up slightly, right eye narrowing, but it lasted merely a second. He twitched his mane, before crossing his arms once more and closing his eyes.
"The Taurus constellation doesn't appear in my solar system."
Masurao said composedly, apparently trying to parry Tala's imaginative information with common reason. Nebulos wasn't sure if it would work on this girl very much. Masurao didn't comment on the idea of having a baby brother, nor on the fact he possibly did have an ingrown toenail. It would've surprised Nebulos (an possibly everyone else) if he would tell anyone such information. It was even a mystery if this boy actually had toe- or fingernails, as both his his feet and hands were covered in boots and gloves.
The speech, however, did seem to have some sort of effect on him. His tail stopped twitching and he opened his eyes again. Still green and alert, they wandered over to Niji and the others. He observed them for a few seconds, and then seemed to come to some sort of conclusion. He unfolded his arms, his right hand hanging by his side and the other reaching for one of his pockets on his jacket. Opening its zipper, Masurao withdrew a sheet of paper from it, which was folded so nicely it seemed to have been made to fit into his pocket. Nebulos recognized the paper as the kind Base Command usually used to print mission specs. Using merely one hand and all four fingers that were attached to it, Masurao unfolded the paper and held it out to the other aliens.
"It's not that much."
He commented, his voice still unrevealing and monotone. Curiously, Nebulos leaned over to glance at the sheet of paper, eyes blinking. Noticing this, Masurao shifted slightly and held out the paper to the little blue creature so he'd get a better view of it. This surprised Nebulos a little, but he appreciated it all the same, which he showed by flashing the other boy a smile, which the other didn't return. But at least he seemed to look a little less stern than before. Or at least Nebulos thought so. He wasn't very fazed by it. Having lived amongst Ynda, he daresay he was actually rater used to it. He glanced back down at the sheet of paper. On it, was a row of pictures of all the aliens currently on the ship, save Tala and Masurao himself. Near their pictures were written a few lines: their name, numbuhs and positions.
"As you can see," Masurao spoke up again, his head now turning to face Tala, expression unchanging, "It does not contain any specifics on people's toenails." One eyebrow was slightly raised again, almost looking inquiring, but his expression changed suddenly as his gaze was unexpectedly averted, apparently distracted by something. Before Nebulos had the time to look in the same direction the Egriadanian was, something gray and fuzzy soared over their heads.
"Tala, Niji... anyone! Can you give me a hand? I think Finnick's brain's busted."
Another furry creature appeared and Nebulos recognized it as Milo-Lee, who seemed rather flustered and was panting heavily. Confused and startled, Nebulos looked up again and -indeed- saw it was Finnick who was flying through the room, occasionally disappearing, only to pop up some other place. Utterly dumbfounded, the little boy's mouth was agape, eyes widened as he watched the feline boy soar aimlessly from one place to the other. It was quite surreal to see this alien, who was usually so calm and composed, fly around the room as if he had one soda too many.
Masurao, too, was following the flying boy with his eyes. He didn't look as flabbergast as Nebulos was, but his eyebrow-lift suggested that he was at least a little confused at this unexpected event. The bodyguard glanced down at his list briefly, before looking up at the flying cat, his expression unchanged.
"What happened to him??"
Nebulos called out, after Milo-Lee's suggestion of someone trying to grab hold of Finnick. Perhaps the strain of having to steer through the asteroid belt had become a bit too heavy on the co-pilot, but Nebulos never would've guessed it would result in this unusual behavior.

Tala let out a scoff and an obstinate roll of her orange optics. "Well obviously that information isn't true, I made it up. I was trying to prove a point." He took everything so seriously. It was a little ridiculous.
When he took out the piece of paper to show them what it contained, she affirmed that it was indeed nothing too prying. She could see Etoile's picture and smirked at the bush of red hair that sat loftily on top of his head. But she was more amused by something else. "HA! You don't have any information about me!" Leaning closer to him so that she could smirk into his face and no doubt invade his personal bubble. "You'll have to try to figure me out aaaaaalllllll by yourself!"
A shout distracted her and she turned to see a flying purple. . . something. Finnick, by the sounds of it. He was hurtling around the room like he was missing a few circuits in his brain, and Tala lifted an eyebrow at him.
A second later, Etoile was beside her, with his fingers radiating scarlet. "Wanna help me try to stop him?"
Blinking, Tala beamed suddenly, flashing a row of yellowish teeth. "You're going to let me help?" She had expected her older brother to try to lock her in a closet or something of the sort. But it seemed that he had resigned himself to the fact that she was there, and he couldn't change it.
"Yeah." He matched her grin, and it was like looking in a mirror. "Ready?"
Both of them turned and raised their arms, striking a similar pose. Their fingers began to glow, mixing together to create a splatter of colors around them. Waiting until Finnick paused for the slightest moment, they sent telekinetic reaches out, enshrouding the boy in a green and red bubble of power. Etoile nodded suddenly, speaking to Tala without taking his eyes off of Finnick. "Nice. You're getting better."
"Hopefully it holds," she responded, keeping her arms lifted while green wrapped around her like a snug, warm, power-filled blanket.

"What happened to him??"
Milo-Lee shook her head, sighing, "Don't know, he just came zooming down the hall like this," She glanced up at Finnick, looking annoyed. Less than a second later, he was surround by an odd, red-green glowing bubble. She looked down, surprised, and spotted Etoile and Tala. "Thanks," She said as she zoomed back up toward the boy. She hovered around the bubble, circling it quickly, no idea how look it would last. She noticed as he franticly tried to escape the bubble, which seemed effective in keeping him from teleporting, that his eyes were wide and unblinking.
"Hmm... I think I might be able to shock him out of it..." She said softly, unsure if the other could hear her. She took a deep breath and flicked her left ear. Her halo floated off and stopped just in front of her right ear, as quickly and firmly as if it were held there with a magnet. Five long, painfully slow seconds ticked by before Finnick's eyes returned to normal, only to widen again in shock. The second they did, she tugged her halo back down over her ear, and she noticed his eyes get a little closer to normal. Finnick was no longer flying around, just hovering there with a shocked and dazed look on his face, the skin on his cheeks an odd bright green color beneath the fur. "Ok, guys, you can let him out now," She said, not looking weather Etoile or the other had seen her in those five seconds, her own cheeks flushed a light pink tinged with orange.

"Can do!"
Etoile dropped his hands and watched Tala do the same, where the light began to sink back into their fingers where it began to smolder warmly in their cores. Now that the situation was changed, Etoile turned and hugged her shoulders with an arm, smiling down at her. "Look at you, you're getting so good. I told you, you're a natural."
The girl held up a fist toward him, and Etoile flashed a grin at each her. Without warning, the two began a strange series of gestures that seemed practicing, jumping in circles and slapping hands with each other in a long handshake that was no doubt a staple of their relationship with each other. Laughing by the time that they were done, Etoile grinned and ruffled her hair. "I would have missed you, kiddie."
"I sure hope so." Laughing, she gave him a fleeting hug, and then pulled back. "But if you get adventure, so do I."

Nebulos, too, had been following the flying cat with his eyes, eyes which looked anxious and confused. One hand steadily held onto Niji to stabilize himself, while his pair of lower arms had hands which clenched and unclenched nervously. It almost scared him a bit to see Finnick like this. What in the name if Lumin has caused such an extreme reaction? This wasn't like Finnick at all!
His mind buzzing with trying to find possible solutions to help his friend but finding none, Nebulos was momentarily distracted when suddenly a shade moved in front of him. Tearing his eyes away from the dis- and reappearing feline in the air, the little boy lowered his head to look what had happened. Masurao Sebes had changed his position and was now standing in front of him and Niji. Nebulos couldn't see the boy's face, but -after a short minute of confusion- he was quite certain the bodyguard had taken this particular stance to do what he was supposed to. Protect.
Masurao, too, was following the soaring Finnick with his eyes, as if they were connected to the alien by some invisible string. For some strange reason, he didn't seem to require the need to blink either. Judging from people's reactions, Masurao was quick to conclude that this kind of behavior was apparently uncommon for this boy called Finnick. And seeing how said boy's moves and gestures seemed pretty unpredictable and unstable, Masurao had acted on his behalf and had taken a protective position in front of Princess Niji, making sure not to lose the furry alien out of his sight. It wasn't because he had only just arrived that he didn't have to execute his job.
Simultaneously, Masurao and Nebulos looked over when Etoile suddenly came jogging towards his sister, apparently having come up with some kind of plan. Masurao averted his gaze from the siblings in order to keep track of the flying alien, but made sure to twitch his mane, so he could follow the conversation. He didn't really understand what they talked about, as they hardly said anything to each other at all, but they seemed to understand each other right away, and decided to take action right away, too.
"Ready?"
What happened then made Masurao lift both his eyebrows, looking genuinely surprised. Apparently, this phenomenon had not been written on his list of information. He observed how a mix of green and red glows mingled with one another and engulfed the flying alien, which immediately started to squirm, the colour of his fur changing from red to green every few seconds. Quiet as ever, the guard glanced to the side, seeing how the brother and sister held out their arms to the sky, their hands glowing with the same hue as the one surrounding Finnick. Whatever they did, it seemed to hold the alien steady, though he didn't seem to like it very much, as he fidgeted about uneasily in his strange, luminescent cage.
Now Milo-Lee jumped into action. Being partly concealed behind Finnick and the telekinetic force, Masurao nor Nebulos could see what she was doing, although she sounded rather determined about solving this problem. Both boys held their gaze attentively upon the felines, one of them looking very apprehensive, the other no so much, but looking alert in interested all the same.
"Ok, guys, you can let him out now."
This made Masurao quirk another eyebrow. From what he had seen, Milo-Lee had simply been hovering there, not having made any big gestures that could possibly have stabilized the boy in front of her. But whatever she'd done, it seemed to have worked. Finnick was no longer squirming, but looked very shocked and confused instead.
"You did it, Milo-Lee!"
Nebulos chirped happily, looking very relieved and his antennae flickering. He clapped his hands together to exclaim his joy, his eyes closing to happy curves. Although he looked very startled still, Finnick at least looked like himself again as he hung there. Nebulos was still worried about what had caused this reaction in the first place, but decided to be happy first, and worry later.
Masurao continued to stare up at the young boy as the two Telarians withdrew their powers from him. Apparently he wasn't entirely convinced that everything was in the clear just yet, and thus kept standing there, green gaze piercing and alert.

Milo-Lee grabbed Finnick's arm as the light around him dissapeared, just in case he started flying off again. Before the two returned to the ground, she leaned over and whispered into the boy's large, bat-like ear, "If you ever tell anyone I did that...." She paused a moment, trying to find a decent threat. She then smiled and leaned back over, "I'll find a way to get Ynda after you," At this, his eyes widen to a point that she thought he might go off again. But his only reaction was to start violently shaking his head, his flipping every which way. "Ok, I won't, I promise I won't,"
"Good," She said, clearly happy with this reaction. The two kids returned to the ground, and Milo-Lee quickly glance around, looking at the eyes of the three boys in front of her. She gave a shakey sigh of relief when it appeared that they hadn't seen what she'd done.
"You did it, Milo-Lee!"
She smiled and nodded as she heard Nebulos's voice coming from behind Masurao. "Seems so," She said glancing at Finnick again, who was rubbing his eyes as if seeing something her couldn't believe. "What now?" He blinked twice, then answered, "Why is there a little, green Etoile?" She looked at him again and saw he was staring straight at Tala. She sighed, and desided to pretend she didn't hear his comment. "Finnick, this is Tala, Etoile's sister. Tala, this is Finnick, my friend who's not normally like that, or this either really. Normally, he's pretty smart, but he's kind of out of it right now...."

"Why is there a little, green Etoile?"
The inquiry reached Tala's ears and she grimaced, rounding on the pair with indignant orange eyes that blazed. Her arms propped pertly on her hips as she answered, a little crossly, "I don't even look like him!"
The boy laughed softly and leaned over, murmuring in her ear, but loud enough that anyone around them could hear, "You do, kind of." He held out an arm next to her to show her that they were both in possession of pale yellow skin that was undeniably similar. But this did not appease her.
"I'm a girl! Do you see this little waist? Is your waist this tiny? I don't think so, buddy!" One of her fingers reached out and jabbed at Etoile's waist. "You lot make me feel so utterly masculine!"
Rolling his blue optics, Etoile returned to Finnick and attempted a hasty apology. "Yeah, err. . . Finnick, this is Tala, my sister. She hijacked-"
"ASKED PERMISSION TO BOARD."
"-Masurao's ship and flew here out of love for adventure and because she missed me so darn much." Grinning, Etoile gestured to Tala, who threw Finnick a tiny wave while still simmering over the fact that people were comparing her to a man. The horror.

Unagi shrugged and glanced at Vibe. "You wanna come with us to see them?"
Without warning or waiting for an answer from Vibe, Dengeki pulled his brother up by the wrist. Surprised at the sudden rush, Unagi let out a gasp. Before Unagi could sit back down or protest, he realized that he was being dragged out of the engine room. He turned back to Vibe and gave her a weak promise. "We'll be back soon, kay?"
The engine room door slid back open in a fluid motion as the twins exited. As they walked, the younger boy quetioned his couterpart, curious to know more about the two newcomers.
"So what are their names? What do they look like? Are they cool? Can we stuff them into luggage compartments if they're jerks?"
The answers from the blue eyed boy came as quick as the queries.
"Tala and Masurao. Tala's really cute. She has long hair and it's all green and curly. Masurao is really furry and he's like Niji's bodyguard or something. Tala's pretty cool, I haven't gotten to talk to Masurao yet though. He seems..." Dengeki tried to think of a word to describe the serious operative. "It's like he's expressionless and doesn't really talk much."
"Stoic?"
"Yeah! That's it! But from what I've seen, they're both pretty friendly. You should've seen the beating Tala gave Curly."
The two laughed as they approached the group. Immediately noticing Tala, who seemed to be upset about something, the identical kids appeared on either side of her, using her shoulders as armrests.
"A lady is much prettier when she smiles.", one of the twins commented, both with sincere smiles.

Tala's anger melted away slightly when she heard a voice that already sounded familiar to her ears, which she had perked up and pointed outward to pick up all of the stray voices that were floating around the room. Her silent intent was to learn about everyone and to quickly memorize them all so that she knew who she was working with when the time came that she would have to mesh in with the time and work with them smoothly.
Her head raised to answer the person who she assumed was Dengeki when she noticed that there were two of them, both of them taking up one of her thin shoulders. Her tongue faltered and she swung her gaze between the two of them, obviously wondering to herself if her vision was lying to her or if there were actually two of them.
But then she was back under her smooth facade, hiding behind a mask that made her seem cool, confident, assured. "You didn't tell me that there happens to be two of you," she told Dengeki. Although she wasn't sure which one that he was, so she kept her gaze shifting between both of them without pausing to focus on one rather than the other. "Which is good, given the fact that the good looks are doubled, but I'm now unsure of which one is the one that I conversed with earlier."
"But," she offered, crossing her arms and lifting an eyebrow at one, and then the other, "if you want a smile, I can provide." Lifting up her fingers, she hooked one around both corners of her mouth and tugged upward until she was grinning like a fool, showing two rows of thick, yellow teeth. "Ish thish good?" Her inquiry came out with a lisp as she grinned up at both of them, her eyes alight with laughter.
Etoile took the opportunity to address the bodyguard that Tala had crash-landed with, his face looking apologetic as he turned to Masurao. "Etoile," he introduced quietly, although he was certain that the guard was already aware of this. "If my sister caused you any trouble, I'd like to apologize. She can be a bit. . . well, you've met her. But thank you for making sure that she arrived in safety." Bowing politely, he smiled slightly. "It means a lot, and I hope that she wasn't too much of a handful."

Still sat on the floor, Vibe watched her boyfriend being dragged away from her, and she just sighed, resting her head in her hand. A few moments after she'd heard them leave, she roused herself to her feet, and retired to checking the engine, since what with the electrical surges from the boys and the water thrown around by the bird-boy, she wouldn't be surprised if something was malfunctioning. But like any good ship, there wasn't just one engine, so we had quite a few things to check.
Up at the front of the ship, the grey-skinned girl had stupidly drifted into the steering cabin, and was now feeling the burn of Cyril's wrath.
"PLEEEEEEEEASE fly the ship for mee!"
Rapid shaking of the head.
"PLEEEEEEEEEASE?!! I'm bored!!"
More shaking of the head. She couldn't find the ship.
"PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOOOOP!"
This time she lashed out with a limb and hit him in the back of the head.
"Ow!" His lower beak wobbled slightly, sadly. "Pleeeease?"
She shook here head once more, then jabbed a limb in the direction of the communication system; specifically the intercom which would send messages across the whole ship. Cyril caught on quickly.
"HEY DOES ANYONE FEEL LIKE PILOTING FOR ME?!" he squawked into the machine, sending his voice booming along the ship. Nalo covered her ears - or where they probably were underneath her hair - and winced slightly at the volume, slightly annoying that she couldn't inform him that he didn't need to shout into the thing.

"Tala...Niji! anyone, can you give me a hand? I think Finnick's brain busted!"
Niji looked up to see Milo-lee chasing a blur of purple around. She squinted and tilted her head slightly. Was that...Finnick?
"What in the name of Orgami has gotten into him?" She gasped. Her eyes trying to keep up with Finnick's irregular flying. "I hope he isn't sick..." Just as she uttered those words, Masurao jumped in front of her in a protective stance, his sudden action startled and annoyed her just a bit. .
"Excuse me, but I don't think it's my protection we should be worrying about here." She said looking up at Finnick's unusual behavior. "Finnick is the one who needs protection right now. He could hurt himself if he continues going on like this..." Just as those words were uttered. She saw Etolie and his younger sister Tala raise their arms simultaneously and envelope Finnick in a green and red glow. She smiled at them, she was very impressed with the siblings ability. Then She saw Milo-Lee spring into action, she rushed over to Finnick, but due to the fact that the colors that surrounded Finnick in addition to the fact that Masurao was standing directly in front of her made it difficult to see what exactly Milo-Lee was doing. Whatever it was that she did Finnick finally began to stirr, and Niji sighed with relief.
"Thank goodness..." She said placing hand near her chest. She then glanced at Masurao, and hovered by his side, "Uh, thank you?" She said with an unsure tone in her voice. She didn't know exactly what she was thanking him for, but felt as though she should say something. Feeling embarrassed and slightly annoyed for some reason, she looked down at her feet.

The twins exchanged a glance that quickly turned into wide grins. They always found pleasure in the fact that just about nobody could tell them apart due to their near identical physical features. Aside from the eye colour, they were the same; on the outside, at least. Same hair, same smile, same birthmarks, though nobody knew about them. It was almost a miracle that their older brother could tell the difference.
As Tala pulled her mouth into a smile, a loud laughter rang out from the throats of the two boys on her sides. Because of the incidents that had occurred earlier, their voices still had a slight rasp, replacing the normally melodic tone that usually surfaced. They were both glad that she had a sense of humour, and a good one at that.
When they finished laughing at the green girl’s expression, Dengeki spoke, now revealing that he was on her right side. “But I did. I think I mentioned that we kind of look alike.”
The next voice came from her left. The boy flipped his curtain of hair slightly, revealing his purple eyes for a split second. He moved to stand in front of Tala, holding his hand out for her to take. “Unagi Kyuurikougeki, Numbuh X*3. Pleased to meet you.”
