"ASKED PERMISSION TO BOARD."
Masurao huffed slightly when he heard Tala call this out to correct her brother's apparent "misgivings", making his eye twitch slightly, but staying out of the argument all the same. His gaze shifted when he spotted movement. Glancing to the side, Masurao saw two identical creatures emerge from an adjoining room. Their unblemished similarity was enough to make anyone stop and stare for a minute, and if not for their resemblance, then for their striking, taller-than-average size. It even made the stoic guard quirk an eyebrow when seeing them enter. He'd seen one of them earlier (though which one it was, he couldn't possibly tell), but they looked more impressive when together, he had to admit. He observed wow they headed over to Tala, casting his eyes to the ceiling only briefly when he heard them speak.
He was distracted when he spotted another movement, this time coming from behind him. Fully aware of who was standing there, the bodyguard quickly took a step aside, making way for the lady. It didn't seem to be necessary, however, as said lady had already floated to his side.
"Uh, thank you?"
She said unsurely, her eyes darting away from him to look at the floor instead. Masurao didn't comment or respond on her behavior, deeming this not appropriate. So instead, like before, he raised another hand and placed it on his chest again, swooping down into another bow.
"Not a problem, your Majesty. I only hope I can assist you in cases more dire than this. It is my pleasure."
He straightened up again, in time to see the little blue creature who was still perched on her shoulder smile brightly at the princess.
"Good thing Finnick turned back into his old self again, huh, Niji?"
He chirped happily. His antennae flickered joyfully, his eyes squinted in genuine contentment. Quick to pick on his friend's emotions, Nebulos decided to lift Niji's moods by indicating their other friend was alright now. She seemed a little upset due the recent events and he only hoped he could do his share to take some of the worries away.
Then, distraction arrived, making Masurao's gaze shift from Niji to his side. Her there saw the one called Etoile (or 'Flashlight', how he'd been called by his sibling for the past few hours) jogging towards him.
"Etoile," he said quietly, his face seeming a bit nervous. Masurao nodded at the smaller boy to acknowledge his greeting and appreciating that he did. He didn't say his own name, seeing how Tala had already called it out for all to hear. "If my sister caused you any trouble, I'd like to apologize," he continued, "She can be a bit. . . well, you've met her." That was a true fact. As he said this, Masurao glanced over to the girl, who was now -perfectly on cue- pulling her mouth with her fingers. He already had a feeling he could see eye to eye with the boy in front of him when it came to certain matters. Masurao opened his mouth, seeming to intend to say something, but he decided against it and closed his mouth again, turning his focus back open the curly-haired boy.
"But thank you for making sure that she arrived in safety. It means a lot, and I hope that she wasn't too much of a handful." The boy proceeded to make a bow, something Masurao hadn't entirely expected he'd do. Having his eyebrows raised in surprise when Etoile had done so, they returned to their usual level, and he accepted the Telarian's polite gesture with a deep nod of his own. He glanced over at the green-haired girl once more, his face still reserved and unbiased.
"It's not a problem," he said, though it possible had been, though he didn't comment on it. "She was quite eager to see you. And this was an unusual fortunate situation for her. I'm glad I got to be of assistance." He affirmed this statement with another nod, the tip of his tail flicking. He momentarily glanced over at Tala once again, who seemed to be amusing the twins a great deal. Looking back at the girl's brother, his face remained balanced and composed. "Just make sure that in the future your sister doesn't push any buttons when she doesn't know their use." He didn't comment any further on this suggestion, apparently not wishing to elaborate on it either.

Tala remained confused for a few seconds longer while the twins laughed at her statement. She refused to show it, however, and stayed silent while they shook in silent amusement, probably over the fact that she couldn't tell them apart. But she was pleased that her little joke had made them laugh. It appeared that she had made friends already.
When one of them revealed himself to be Dengeki, she smiled in response, tilting a quick head at him as a greeting. But then the other twin began to speak, and she gave her attention to him instead since she hadn't spoken to him yet.
She saw a flash of a purple eye and then her eyes narrowed calculatingly while she thought to herself. Dengeki had glared at Etoile earlier and she was sure that his eyes had been blue. . .
Ah. That's how to tell them apart.
"Pleased to meet you," she said politely, sweeping Unagi a polite curtsy. "Tala Ganmade, Numbuh 2773."
While Tala was being cordial, Etoile was busy being horrified. He ran an exasperated hand through his curls with a huff of indignant air. Trust his little sister - a curious creature with no sense of limitations - to start pushing buttons like that. "Did she really?" he asked with a sigh. "I'm . . . sorry. Spaceships are exciting to her."
Ever since she had been a child, things like that had amused her. Etoile was far more interested in other things; wonders, logic, amusement. Machinery was intriguing, no doubt about it, but he much preferred natural happenings. But honestly, to press random buttons on a spaceship. . .
Oh, she was going to hear about this later.

A sly smile came across the twin’s lips as they noticed Tala’s realization faintly on her face. “So you’ve figured us out, eh?” One of the twins commented, impossible to tell who, due to the convenient length of hair falling over his eyes. He continued, pacing in front of her as he spoke in an attempt to appear mysterious. “But the real trick is to figure out who is who without looking at our eyes.” His serious expression immediately dropped and he rushed up to the girl he had most likely weirded out.
Without any warning, he swept her up in a hug, spinning around as he did it. “Dengeki said you were cute, but I didn’t think you’d be this cute!” he exclaimed, continuing to spin in place whilst holding the girl. “You’re way way way cuter than Etoile!!!” he repeated the words for emphasis.

Right after he'd vaguely declared Tala's occupation on the ship, Masurao noticed how Etoile's face changed from apologetic to horrified. He didn't shift his own expression, but merely nodded once as the curly-haired boy spoke once again. "Yes." he replied shortly, but not sounding annoyed, his mane twitching softly. As her brother apologized, the guard momentarily glanced over to the green-haired girl once more, who still seemed to be entertained by the identical aliens.
"You don't have to apologize." Masurao said as he turned back to the Telarian in front of him, his voice still hoarse and deep. Though his expression still lacked any expression whatsoever, he did seem sincere. It wasn't like Etoile had had anything to with the matter. "We arrived safely in once piece and that's what counts in the end." He'd barely finished talking when his trained eye caught a sudden movement from its corner. Instinctively, he snapped his head in that direction, finding himself looking upon a rather exuberant scene, in which Tala was being swung around in large circles, embraced by one of the two brothers. The silent alien lifted an eyebrow as he observed the phenomenon, then glanced down at the girl's brother, seeming to wonder if he approved of his sister being in involved in this.

Finnick looked a little flustered when his comment caused the pair in front of him to start arguing. The bright green blush returned to his cheeks as he stammered out, "S-Sorry," to the girl. He rubbed his head, trying to pull himself together after everything that had happened in the past few minutes.
"Yeah, err. . . Finnick, this is Tala, my sister. She hijacked-"
"ASKED PERMISSION TO BOARD."
"-Masurao's ship and flew here out of love for adventure and because she missed me so darn much."
He looked at her, and the fact that they were siblings was now very clear. "Hello...." It was also clear that she was mad about the comment, and he broke off before saying anything else. He backed up a couple of steps, turning to Milo-Lee as the twin approached Tala. "What did I say?" He said with a shrug, as if he had no idea as to why his comment had upset her a bit. The feline girl just rolled her big, gold eyes, then sighed a bit in mock exasperation.
"HEY DOES ANYONE FEEL LIKE PILOTING FOR ME?!"
The kids both looked up in shock as Cyril's voice filled the room. "I should go..."
"Not without me, you're not," She said with a wink, "If you lose it again, I don't want the rest of us to pay for it,"
The pair headed out of the room and into the wide hallway to the steering cabin, and Milo-Lee suddenly noticed that this was the first time since she'd met Finnick that they'd been alone. "So, what happened?"
That odd, green blush appeared on his cheeks again before he answered. "Well, I'm.... not really sure.... I've seen it happen to younger kids on my planet a few times... It's usually triggered by bright light... The light here is so much brighter than on Silvalucet,"
"Oh," She said, unimpressed by his reply.
"Thanks, by the way,"
Now it was her turn to blush. She turned her head away, ears turned down, "Well, yeah, whatever, just don't think I'll do it again, next time you flip out like that, you're on you own,"
Finnick, however, could tell she didn't mean it, or, at least, he hoped. About that time, they entered the steering cabin to find Cyril and Nalo. "We've got it, Cyril," the boy told him, while Milo-Lee's eyes widened.
"Are you crazy, I can't fly this ship!"
"I'll take care of it,"

When Cyril noticed the feline pair coming over to help, he chirped excitedly. "You don't need to KNOW how to fly, just steer." Cyril told Milo-Lee cheerfully. "If Vibe and Nalo can do it--" Nalo looked at him with a strange expression, seeing as she hadn't tried to fly the ship yet "--then anyone can!" The metallic girl frowned, offended, when he said that, and was quick to exit the steering cabin. It didn't take long for Cyril to also remove himself from the cabin as well, with a brief "Bye, have fun!"
When the bird-boy did meet up with the others, he couldn't fail to notice that there was quite a commotion, and two aliens he had never seen before.
"Wheredidtheseguyscomefrom?!!" he squawked excitedly. Since the girl had been claimed by one of the twins, Cyril went for the canine-like alien, flapping around his head and firing off questions at random.
"Hi! I'm Cyril and I pilot and who are you? What's your favourite colour?! Do you eat birds?! I don't eat birds! I am a bird! What do you eat?! Where did you come from?! Will you be my friend?!" Some of his questions weren't even audiable amongst the hyper squeaks he was also emitting randomly.

Niji giggled at the array of questions Cyril threw at Milo-lee. He meant well but he could be a bit overwhelming at times. Then she turned her attention to her bodyguard who was standing at her side, she couldn't help but feel a little awkward next to him. She cleared her throat to get his attention. "So...What's your home planet like?" She asked him, "I read you went to an academy as well, what was that like?" She asked with interest. ------
Do you guys think we could so some sort of mission soon? I'm craving some action right now. *giggles* ;D

“But the real trick is to figure out who is who without looking at our eyes.”
A challenge. The minute that Unagi had issued the statement, Tala decided to herself that she was going to figure out how to do so. It was the competitive part of her blood; nothing would stop her from deducing the way to tell which twin was which without guessing.
"I-" But she was cut off as the newest twin swept her up into a swinging hug, whirling her around through the air and exclaiming aloud how cute she was. A shriek of laughter bubbled up through her lips and she squealed, clutching his torso tightly in hopes that the large alien would keep her from falling.
Her merry, delighted laughter reached at Etoile's ears, and he followed Masurao's line of gaze until his eyes rested on the flash of yellow and green that was his sister, begin flung around by one of the twins. A frown creased his face as he registered this scene, mulling over the idea that the twins had taking a liking to the little girl.
He was unsure of how to deal with this scene when a golden streak bolted into the room, squawking and shouting various things at the newcomers. Tala was previously occupied, so Etoile shrugged, deciding to do the introducing for her, mostly just so that Cyril wouldn't spaz and get struck by his swinging little sister.
As he began to speak up, Cyril began bombarding Masurao with questions. Etoile wasn't sure if he should introduce Tala in response to those questions or just introduce her to him. So he gave it his best attempt.
"Cyril, that's my sister, Tala. Err, no, she doesn't eat birds, her favorite food is galactic pizza with all the toppings. Her favorite color is red, I'm pretty sure? Uhhh. . . she comes from. . . our planet, D'thlany. . . and err, I'm sure she'd love to be your friend. Yeah."
Helplessly, he let out a small shrug, deciding to let Masurao introduce himself then if he deemed it necessary. But knowing what he knew about the guard, the reply would most likely be short and somewhat cold.

Etoile's doubtful gaze when spotting his sister's little round dance didn't escape the guard's attention. He cast another fleeting look at the shorter boy, getting an idea of how he possibly felt. Masurao had a little sister of his own, but he could hardly imagine he'd appreciate it if someone started swinging her around. Though clutching onto dear life, Tala didn't seem to mind very much. There was supposedly some reassurance in that.
Masurao tore his gaze away from the enthusiastic picture when something else had caught his attention. He'd barely had time to look in the proper direction when a streak of gold zoomed in from the left, nearly colliding with his head. Instinctively, the startled bodyguard had already reached out one hand to the pole on his back, but his brain was just in time to register the presence of a bird-like creature before he'd been able to assault. Looking flabbergast, though only mildly through his stoic appearance, Masurao stared at the odd creature in front of him, who started chattering at such a fast rate and screechy volume, he was hardly able to understand anything in the first place. Twitching his mane in slight irritation due the alien's high voice, Masurao lowered his hand from its defensive position and straightened up again, piercing eyes set on the peculiar creature. It was fortunate he'd recognized the creature as Cyril from his list of operatives, for he'd barely been able to catch his name when he said it. His face returned to its stoic state, which seemed to do little to faze the bird, who'd continued to squeak as if he had made it his purpose to reveal as much about him as he possibly could without drawing a breath. Masurao's face slightly twitched everyone once in a while, trying to get rid of the golden feathers that kept fluttering into his face every time Cyril made another enthusiastic exclamation.
"Masurao Sebes. Egriada." he replied shortly a few moments after Cyril had seemed to run out of questions to ask. Shifting a lost feather off his shoulderpad, he didn't elaborate on what Egriada' possibly meant, figuring this was enough information given. Though the bird was so enthusiastic to an exaggerated extent, the wolf-like boy still deemed it needful to reveal his name to the other alien. It was only good manners. Especially since he'd known Cyril's name before ever even meeting them. "And I do eat birds." Although it might've sounded like it, he didn't try to come off as threatening by saying this. He was merely answering one of the boy's questions, one he believed he didn't mind answering. Being omnivorous, Masurao enjoyed chicken as much as he'd enjoy a piece of fruit. But he didn't find it necessary to explain this. Perhaps it'd keep the bird at least a little further out of his personal space. The shower of feathers was rather limiting his sight.
His navy mane twitched slightly as they caught the soft noise of someone clearing their throat. Registering the tone of voice, Masurao immediately looked over, finding himself looking up the princess. Realizing she'd been directing herself to him, he dutifully turned his entire body to face her. He took a step in her direction, trying to stay out of Cyril's flying circle.
"So...What's your home planet like?" she asked him, sounding genuinely interested "I read you went to an academy as well, what was that like?" Nebulos, perched atop Niji's shoulder still, turned his attention upon the bodyguard as well, curious to hear his response.
Masurao wavered a bit, though his demeanor revealed nothing of the sort. Now there was a bit of an inner struggle going on. Quite obviously, Masurao was not the type who liked talking about himself very much, preferring to keep himself wrapped in a cloak of mystery and silence. On the other hand, this question came from the Princess of Origami herself, the one he'd sworn to protect and obey no matter what circumstances. He opened his mouth, seemingly intending to say something, but then closed it, apparently deciding against it.
"My village is built up in trees," he began after a minute or two, apparently deciding he'd better come forth, rather than ignoring a direct question from Niji. He glanced to the side for a second, thinking of what else he could say to describe his planet. "We have two suns, but it's not unusually hot. And because of them, there's a lot of nature." He left it at that, though not sure if that information would suffice. He was silent for another few seconds, before he continued. "The academy is on Egriada itself. If you're interested and determined enough, you can attend there to train and learn offensive and defensive techniques. It's not very easy, but quite an honor to go there all the same. Most students end up as guards or teachers themselves." After a moment's hesitation, he also left it at this.
"Wow, that sounds pretty tough." Nebulos said, eyes widening a bit at the wolfboy's explanation. Of course, it would make sense Niji's dad would look for a protector who he considered worthy enough to entrust his daughter's well-being with. Hearing the small boy's reply, Masurao merely gave a light shrug. Things that were considered 'tough', varied from person to person anyway.

When the bird heared Masurao's response to his question about his eating habits, he stopped in midair. Which caused him to drop to the floor.
"You eat birds?!" he cried out in alarm, and with a hasty flap which turned into a haphazardly run, he hurried to find Vibe in order to recieve protection from her. "VIIIIIIIIIBE THE NEW GUY'S GONNA EAT MEEEEEEEE" was the last thing to be heard from him before he dived into the engine room, although several loud, annoyed, and skeptical comments from Vibe could just barely be heard through the door.

"My village is built up in trees," He explained vaguely. She looked at him expectantly, hoping he'd say more. Masurao gave her a rather uncomfortable look as he continued, We have two suns, but it's not unusually hot. And because of them, there's a lot of nature. The academy is on Egriada itself. If you're interested and determined enough, you can attend there to train and learn offensive and defensive techniques. It's not very easy, but quite an honor to go there all the same. Most students end up as guards or teachers themselves."
"Wow, that sounds pretty tough." Nebulos said in awe. Niji nodded in agreement. Niji listened as Masurao attempted to answer the question Cyril rattled off at seemingly lightning speed. He didn't give up too much information, but she did cringe at his last answer:
"Yes, I do eat birds." The wolf like alien said, his voice was completely calm as he said it.
"Oooh..." Niji groaned and place her palm in front of her eyes. "Oh boy, this is not going to end very--"
Just as she predicted the feathery boy's feathers practically stood on end, "VIIIIIIIIIBE THE NEW GUY'S GONNA EAT MEEEEEEEE" Cyril screamed at the top of his lungs. Niji cringed and pressed her hands to her ears.
"C-Cyril!" The multicolored Princess called out to him, as he flew out of the room torn between flying after him to try to comfort him, and staying put, "I-I'm sure he didn't mean anything..." Niji left her sentence hanging. Cyril had already flew off. Niji turned to the stoic boy with a slightly annoyed expression,
"Did you really have to tell him that you eat birds?" She asked him, her left hand gesturing toward the direction Cyril flew off in, and the other hand resting at her waist.

Masurao cringed slightly, the tips of his mane trilling when the birdboy suddenly started screeching in shock.
"VIIIIIIIIIBE THE NEW GUY'S GONNA EAT MEEEEEEEE!"
Lifting an eyebrow, Masurao turned to face the other alien, his face set in a mild grimace, which looked a bit painful. But Cyril, however, had already made a dash for it, soaring straight for an adjoining room, where there apparently was another person, as he heard someone reply. The guard narrowed his eyes a bit, as if he seemed insulted somehow.
"That's preposterous," he said with a soft huff, crossing his arms as he did and closing his eyes as well, "I refrain from eating anything that can speak for itself."
"Did you really have to tell him that you eat birds?"
Upon hearing the voice, Masurao's eyes snapped open and he withdrew his arms from their crossed state. He looked up, looking straight into Niji's face, who didn't seem to be very pleased with his behaviour. This took him aback a bit, and it was shown through his eyebrows, which rose into the air. He blinked a few times, apparently rather fazed by her reprimand. Certainly, seeing how he was the girl's bodyguard at the king's request, he should take any sort of retribution as a setback, which said he wasn't doing his job very well. Hastily, in what seemed to become a trademark fashion, he put hit fist to his chest again and inclined his head deeply.
"I apologize," he said, voice still monotone, but sounding sincere nonetheless. "He asked a question and I thought it best not to lie."
That was a true fact. Even though the boy was quiet most of the time, he did speak the truth on the rare occasions he did say anything. He hadn't quite expected such a dramatic reaction from the bird-like creature, even though he probably should have, judging from his enthusiastic greeting. Well, at least he had stopped fluttering around his head. If there was one positive outcome of all this, it was probably that.

"I apologize. He asked a question and I thought it best not to lie."
The sincerity of Masurao's apology caused Niji's annoyed pout to fade away. She sighed. "You're forgiven." She said with a small smile, blowing a brown feather off of his head. "Though, I think you should apologize to Cyril. I think you may have traumatized him." She said rubbing her arm slightly. "With him, somethings are better left unsaid." She said with an uneasy laugh.
