*hugs* 's okay. Everyone's different and believes different things. I actually just realized I don't have a firm standing buy for the 362 in the show to be with. '^^ I mean, I like I/Eizzil but I dunno who I like with Rachel. Oo... I think 60/362 is very interesting and unique in its own right and I could see it happening but i couldn't see myself being a strong shipper of it. I dunno...maybe 362/Chad? Seeing as how Chad went through some things and Obviously Rachel's family is going through some things too. And she was directly under him before he "betrayed" the KND. I could kinda see her having a crush on him...sort of reflect Abby/Maurice I suppose. I dunno. '^^ But I need to think of a coupling that doesn't rival my 1/Lizziel. XD lol. ^-^ Ay, tis so confusing. (Oh, and if I'm not ont he forum a lot this week it's b/c I'm uber busy. T-T *hugs all* miss you guys already* )

You know, that's probably right. 362/Chad could be like Maurice/Abby... Aaron/Allie. (Sorry, couldn't resist on this one. ^^') Well, uh... if you want my suggestive, you could always pair her up with an OC. I wouldn't mind. 60/362 isn't really my cup of tea but... an OC could work in the KND universe. *nod* But let's not hope it's a human male of Zarzig. XD Shipping is confusing, totally with you on that one. But I'll ship 1/362 'til... I'm an old woman and my husband gets sick and tired of it. ^^ (I love you, Rika! ^^ *hugs* And don't worry. I'm sure this week will fly right past! We all love you!)

I just read all of this, god am I glad this didn't turn into an all out war.
As I've stated before, I'm completely fine with people not being fans of this couple. I don't even care if they utterly dfespise it, as long as they give a reason for not liking it and don't decide to mock people in the fanbase( that really annoys me).
But anyways, thank you for your feedback Allie. I know you said you normally don't look at other 'rival' fanfiction or art, but to be fair I enjoy reading your 1/362 fanfics and looking at your fanart, and I'm not really a 1/362 fan.
I will agree though, shipping is just very confusing.

No problem! ^^ I think it's pretty cool how 362/60 is getting more shipping in, actually. Good for you guys. *hugs* You're very welcome, Prettywitch!

Which leaves me to ponder my own reasons for allying with the Courting Commanders, including Allie. The timing is still as clear to my memories as ever, and the topics I'm having Nigel and Rachel lead the Kids Next Door in confronting might likely be perceived as being better understood by adults rather than kids. The contrast with prettywitchiusaka's attempts to portray Patton and Rachel's efforts to deal with their uncertainty in the wake of Grandfather's global rampage has proven influential as a reference point for my own stories and story ideas, and I wish to thank her for such opportunities to think through those ideas even further. I believe that Winston Churchill had it right: "The pessimist sees difficulty in opportunity, but the optimist sees opportunity in difficulty.".

Thanks Allie. True the 60/362 shipping club is small, but w're still mighty and proud to show our support!
And you're very welcome for giving you inspiration C7Angel. Though I'm not too sure what kind of inspiation it is, but I sure hope it gives you great ideas in the future.

And you're very welcome for giving you inspiration C7Angel. Though I'm not too sure what kind of inspiation it is, but I sure hope it gives you great ideas in the future. Erm, I was thinking of the villains in my past stories, prettywitch. More often than not, their agendas have involved exterminating an entire group of people, destroying the United States of America and its allies, or some combination of both. The nuclear bomb has been the main weapon of mass destruction used, but time and space have also been eroded, almost bringing about the end of the world. Why would these "after Grandfather" adult villains resort to such extremes? In a nutshell, they each believe that freedom is evil, and consequently, whoever defends it must be annihilated by any means possible and without any questions. They're based on factual villains, of course, and I intentionally tried to have them refrain from engaging in "evil laughter" moments. The lack of evil laughter would indicate that these villains take no nonsense whatsoever, making them that much more frightening to the Kids Next Door.

Oh, that's what you meant. Never mind then.
Oh, BTW, what was your favorite part of the story?

If I could pick the one that inspired the biggest amount of thought out of me, then I would lean toward the part in which Rachel begins to realize what Patton said about that deal with Grandfather, then cry silently. I narrowed my eyes with deliberation as Patton and Rachel sought a way to solve their dilemma, only to feel them widen with slightly increased interest toward the end of that segment.

Oh yes, that part. I know it might seem extreme that Patton would sell his soul to save the one he loves, but to me Patton seems to be the kind of person who would do just about anything to protect the one he loved, even if it caused him consequences in the end.
As for Rachel forgiving Patton for what he did, I know that that too might seem unrealistic. But since Rachel is a logical character, it would make sense to her mind that he didn't do it out malicious intent or even betrayal.

Uncertainty, or guilt? Uncertainty, or guilt? Uncertainty... or guilt? If Patton and Rachel really are to be a more mature version of Wally/Kuki, then one can guess that these basic thought processes between Patton and Rachel will be opposite to each other. Patton would follow his heart regarding Rachel, despite his position, and Rachel might be forced to decide whether to admit any feelings she does have, then be willing to forgive Patton.

Heh, you pretty much hit the nail right on the head there C7Angel. Despite their positions, they have to coem to term with heir feelings for one another. Unfortunately, they have very different view points about a romantic relationship together.

Whereas Patton might think that a more romantic relationship would be a good thing, Rachel might be too afraid of the consequences to risk such a choice. The potential for a lot of tension between Patton and Rachel exists, so that they might argue quite a few times before stopping. I can only wonder what the rest of the Kids Next Door would think about such a dynamic...

Well what happens is that they keep their relationship behind closed doors, so that they don't draw any attention. But eventually, Sector V finds out, as does Fanny, but they promise to keep their relationship secret. Everything goes smoothly until Father discovers the relationship.

Leading to a sort of blackmailing campaign against Patton and Rachel by Father, prettywitch? I sense an element of tragic romance to Patton and Rachel's relationship, darker than, say, Wally and Kuki's romantic friendship. Father has been seeking to outdo Grandfather, and with Patton and Rachel's feelings for each other standing as they are, Father might perceive a way to... paralyze the Kids Next Door. Yet, a certain comical element may be present in Father's evil, leaving Patton and Rachel to stare blankly at him before focusing back on what they're trying to do. On the other hand, Grandfather's return will most likely plunge Patton and Rachel into a new nightmare, throwing these two kids' minds into turmoil.
