Vibe's featured seemed to turn to stone, bearing a very unimpressed expression in reaction to Ynda's response, barely glancing at Nebulos as he spoke. "Maybe you should tell the kid you didn't mean to hurt his feelings," she suggested, but her voice was layered with icy undertones which hinted it wasn't a suggestion, but a demand. They hadn't even left the atmosphere and there was already problems in the ship. She could only hope that things didn't continue down this route.
"Ooh what did Ynda do now?" Cyril flapped his way onto the floor, standing between the rows of aliens. He had noticed the commotion from across the room, and saw no harm in wandering over to see what was going on.
"Not now, Cyril," came Vibe's grumble of a response.
"But I wanna know!" The boy whined.
"Go back to whatever you were doing before!"
"You mean causing chaos?"
"Sure, whatever, just butt out."

Ynda started to feel a bit confused when a voice from before again talked to her. She wasn't used to receiving this much attention, good or bad. With a bit of a tired expression, she turned back to the blue boy and attempted to look annoyed. She more or less failed due to her increasing insecurity on this matter. She was probably supposed to feel bad, as two (or three, but she wasn't aware of that) aliens had commented on her behavior towards Etoile just now. But Ynda didn't feel bad often, and only got more frustrated when she did.
"Yeah, yeah," she just mumbled in response to Nebulos, not knowing what else to answer. She exhaled a sigh when Vibe talked to her once more and immediately caught the slight demanding fashion she spoke in. "Alright, alright," she grumbled and raised her paws in defense, although they were clenched to fists when Cyril meddled with the situation. "Go away, Pigeon," she hissed.

Having located what could have must have been the bathroom, Etoile pushed his way inside and shut the door behind him, slumping to the floor with the map still in hand. Spreading it out across his lap, making sure it was the right way this time, he began to inspect it closely, determined to understand it now to make up for his earlier mistake.
His eyes, narrowed because of his churning brain, swept over the board as his fingers pointed out familiar things to him. The Goriaxon Belt of stars. The asteroid belt. Off to the side, barely larger than a speck, his own planet: D'thlany.
Tugging on one of his antenna absentmindedly while he thought, Etoile's finger finally came to rest on the planet that they were situated on. Large, mostly white, and beautiful. Storing the memory of it in his mind, he began to search for their destination, the planet that would hold the most danger for them out of all of them.
Aliens of Etoile's race, Telarians, did not cry, not unless they were experiencing the greatest of heartbreak. Instead, his fingertips, and probably toe-tips as well, were near to the color black; a color that represented the greatest kind of sadness. Maybe, with luck, he would be able to figure out the map quickly, and that would redeem him.

"But I wanna know!" Cyril insisted, causing Vibe to sigh heavily, her breath catching on the rough edges of her throat and creating a small growl.
"Ynda was mean to Etoile and we're just telling her not to be," Vibe explained briefly in an exasperated tone. "Now go away."
"But you guys are having fun over here. >:" (ignore the random emotes for these three lines of dialogue XD)
"We were, until you arrived. >>"
"I want to have fun too! DX"
"Then go back to flying! You were having fun then!"
"YNDAAAA, VIBE'S YELLING AT ME!!"
"What do you expect HER to do about it?! I doubt she minds my yelling at you! You deserve it!"
The worried girl could just barely hear the bickering behind her, but soon even Cyril's shrill voice became lost amongst the chatter of other aliens. It didn't take her long to locate the bathroom, and could only assume that her friend was inside. Once more, she cursed her useless voicebox, and knocked on the door, not wanting to simply intrude.

Etoile jumped at the sudden noise, dropping the map out of his hands. He hadn't expected anyone to come after him.
Unless, his terrified mind realized, it was Ynda. Maybe she was here to tell him that he didn't deserve the map. Maybe she wanted to be navigator instead.
Picking up the map again, he hid behind it, his eyes barely peeking out as he called quietly, "C-come in."

Feeling bad was no longer a cause for her upcoming frustration; now it was simply Cyril's yelling that she figured would pierce through any other sound. As her ears were especially sensitive compared to other alien ears, she also let out a growl and jumped up on Etoile's seat, glaring at the hyper alien. "Just shut up, you stupid pigeon!" she snarled, pointing towards him in the process. "We don't need you to make matters worse!" She realized right after she might end up hurting his feelings as well, and exhaled a sigh at the mere thought. "... I mean..." she started hesitatingly, her voice sounding softer now. "... there's no need to fuss, alright? The situation's been solved." She remembered she had yet to talk to Etoile and quickly added: "... almost."

"Alright, no more yelling or offending each other now," Vibe stated, looking rather bored of the whole ordeal. Cyril looked sort of apologetic, but he was still full of boundless energy, and took to the air once more, jumping from seatback to seatback excitedly.
...With a click, the door opened, and Nalo peeked around the door, one 'hand' on the edge of the door. Her golden eyes seemed to be searching, despite the fact she was looking at the yellow alien she was so worried about. Drifting all the way into the room and pushing the door shut behind her, an expression of questioning and concern was now apparent on her face.

One he realized that it was Nalo, the map went down to allow his entire face to be shown. Relaxed, but not exactly pleased, he hastily stood up, hiding the blackened fingertips behind his back. "O-oh. Nalo. W-what're you doing?"
Then he remembered that she couldn't respond and he stammered to find something else to say. "Wait! D-do you need to use this room? Do I need to leave?" He /was/ hiding in the bathroom. No doubt someone would have to relieve themselves sooner or later.
The second part of his question came more quietly, as though he couldn't really believe it to be true. "Or. . . are you. . . checking on me?"

Nalo was quick to notice his attitude from the map hiding his face; he was trying to shut himself off from the others. Not good. When he spoke, she just looked at him when he asked the first question, waiting for him to realise she couldn't respond. Luckily he did quickly, and Nalo rolled her eyes at his next question. When he guessed right on the second try, she nodded, and floated closer to him, a hand on the end of a metal limb reaching out to touch his shoulder reassurringly.

Ynda calmed down as she watched Cyril fly around for a moment, before she jumped up Etoile's backseat and back on Dengeki's head. Hoping she wouldn't receive any further comments on the issue she'd unintentionally started, she lay on her stomach and made herself comfortable in Dengeki's hair, not wanting to speak again before she'd have to face Etoile.

Giving her a weak smile, Etoile felt bad when he saw the look of concern on her face. He hated worrying her. "I'm fine, really." Trying to distract her, he held up the map, his finger moving to point to a shape that looked like a star, but moved like a planet. "Look. That's my home planet, D'thlany. I. . . I found it."
Her eyes were so incredibly bright as they gazed at him reassuringly. "I'm fine," he whispered, trying to convince himself that he truly was. "Promise."

Interested, Nalo glanced at the map where he was indicating, noting the position of the planet he was pointing to. She briefly wondered if he'd be able to find her planet on the map, but pushed the request to the back of her mind. There were bigger things to deal with.
"I'm fine," he whispered, as she looked up at him once more. It was becoming increasingly more obvious just how bad the alien girl's words had hit him. "Promise." Nalo's expression seemed to become more annoyed that anything else, and the metal hand on his shoulder suddenly vanished, it being rapidly absorbed back into her body. But as that was happening, Nalo moved forwards, and quickly wrapped her physical arms around him before he could protest. She didn't let go right away, and remained there, holding him tightly in the embrace of the hug. It had crossed her mind that Etoile's species may not be familiar with hugs, or see them as a threat, but that was a risk she was willing to take.

It took Etoile a few seconds to realize what was happening.
A purple flame of color slowly sprouted across the surface of his cheeks as he realized that she wasn't hitting him for lying to her. No. She was hugging him.
It was startling, the idea.
From there, it was completely instinct. No thoughts were involved as his thin arms slid around her and held her tightly. The curve of his head had nestled itself into her shoulder, where he sat still for a few moments, enjoying the moment for as long as it lasted.
His voice, barely a whisper.
Just barely loud enough to reach her ears.
"Thanks."

Throughout the entire ordeal, the Luminarian boy kept to himself, reverting to silence instead of joining in on the discussion. He didn't like people argueing and thus he preferred retreating rather than speaking up. He cringed a little at the racket, more things happening than he could register. He wasn't a fan of a lot of noise, unless it was happy noise, caused by laughter and jokes and playing games. But as this was not the case, the little boy slid off the backrest of the seat and sat down instead, pale eyes wandering around.
He'd only barely caught sight of Nalo leaving her seat and floating serenly towards the bathroom. He was glad he was being checked upon, as the yellow alien had almost been forgotten in all the fuss.

As she felt the other alien fully accepting the hug, Nalo felt at ease. Any wrong move at this moment, and she had feared she could destroy his self-esteem entirely.
The metallic female couldn't prevent a smile from spreading across her face when she picked up on his voice, thankful she had done the right thing. Still her arms remained around the boy, deciding to let him end the hug when he wanted to.
