After a few minutes, the voice came over the intercom, announcing that the rocket would be taking off within a minute and that all of them should be strapped it. Reluctantly pulling away, Etoile smiled weakly at her, making a note that his fingertips had brightened again, and feelnig much happier.
"W-we'd better go," he mumbled, making sure that his violet flush had ebbed away before he exited the room, clutching the map in his fingers. There was still a twinge of purple, but hopefully, no one would notice.
When he approached his seat, his first instinct was to scurry away from Ynda before she noticed him. But he was here to be brave, wasn't he? He wouldn't be good enoughf or this mission if he wasn't brave.
So instead, he shuffled over to where she was perched on Dengeki's head, and bowed quickly, his hands grasping the map so tightly that it was getting wrinkled, albeit slightly. "T-thank you for pointing out my mistake," he said, trying to speak loud enough so that his gentle voice could be heard. "If you hadn't, I might have gotten us lost."
Which hopefully wouldn't have been the case, but he wanted to smooth things over with her, and that was his best attempt. Backing away, he then plopped into his seat and buckled hurriedly so that he would be strapped in safely for take-off.

Nalo returned the smile, and nodded in agreement to the suggestion of leaving. She didn't want to be the one being thrown around the cabin during take off, and hurried to follow him back out into the area of seats. Most aliens were strapped in now, so at least moving was easier. She resumed her seat next to Etoile, although the yellow alien hadn't taken his seat yet, and she watched him carefully as he spoke to Ynda. As she was trying to buckle her seatbelt and watch the pair at the same time, she managed to get the limb she was using tangled, and grumbled silently as she turned her full attention to it and pulled it free, quickly strapping herself in. When Etoile flopped next to her, her focus was then diverted to him, and when she caught his eye she sent him another smile.

(Eek! I missed so much!)
Milo-Lee was silent as the conflict between Etoile and Ynda began. She didn't like to get involved in fights, because there was a good chance she'd end up in it and that was the last thing she wanted. She still felt back for Etoile as he disappeared though a door in the back. How were they going to work together if they were fighting before they lifted off the ground?
Finnick, on the other hand, was watching them both intently. Several times, he considered saying something, but he was honestly scared of Ynda, and didn't want her to have anything against him. He really hoped they could work this out, fighting on a mission was never a good thing.
After Etoile left, they quickly slipped into a pair of seats, the row ended on the other side of Finnick and there was an empty seat on Milo-Lee's side with it's seatbelt pulled out over the seat and hitting the floor. By the time the voice came over the intercom, she was nervously rubbing her paws over the soft cream fur on her arms. Soon they'd be headed off on a dangerous and risky mission, and yet, she was more excited than scared. Really, she couldn't wait to be there, and, at the same time, she was glad to have a few friends there, something still very new to her.

Oh sure. I leave to go to school and the RP advances like 3 pages >: Jesus! xD ~
The twins had not noticed what had happened between Ynda and Etoile, nor had they noticed him excusing himself to the restroom. Instead, they had been speed-reading through the mechanic's manual they had swiped from Vibe. Studying, analyzing and memorizing each part of the machine, they were focused. With a pen in his webbed hand, Unagi wrote seemingly irrelevent equations, made up of symbols from his and his brother's home planet. Dengeki turned the page every minute or so, muttering words such as "precise oil levels" and "hybrid electric engine power". Within the time that Etoile had gone and come back, they had finished scanning the manual, handing it back to Vibe while uttering a bored-sounding simultaneous "Done."
Unagi stretched his arm, resting it behind Vibe and smiled. "Did we miss anything interesting?"

Ynda sat up on Dengeki's head as soon as she noticed Etoile and Nalo returned. Knowing what to do, despite feeling slightly reluctant, she tried to flash Etoile a sincere look, something she had trouble doing. But just as she was about to speak, she heard him thank her - something she didn't at all expect. She blinked when he flopped back down in his seat, not knowing what to say for a moment. But she knew she shouldn't leave it like this. In order to regain eye contact, she jumped back on his shoulder and down on his lap, looking up at him. She didn't look quite sincere, but at least not angered, either.
"Er... no problem," she started a little hesitantly. She needed a moment to force out more, but eventually managed: "I'm... sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, or anything." She exhaled a small sigh. "I call pretty much everyone stupid... It's nothing personal."

Etoile looked down surprisedly to see Ynda on his lap. She was surprisingly fast, and for a moment, he grasped around for words. He was stunned by her apology, but at the same time, he was glad that she did.
"I'll remember that," he said, ducking his head so that his curls partially hid his eyes. "I'm sorry for overreacting. And. . . thanks."
And then he remembered the automatic take-off that was happening any minute now and his eyes widened. "Y-you'd better get strapped in before the rocket takes off! Hurry, before you get hurt!"
Already, the engines were stirring, waking from a sleep and stretching their gears and cogs. Etoile gripped his chair anxiously, already excited and nervous at the same time without the rocket even moving.

Ynda didn't respond, but she nodded to acknowledge his words. She appreciated that he warned her, but she didn't plan on moving away from Dengeki's seat. Instead, she jumped on the tall alien's lap instead and sat down. Without asking, she grabbed his tail and wrapped it around her own, relatively small waist, making sure she was stuck to him and that she wouldn't fly away during take-off.
"Done," she muttered to no one in particular.

Dengeki was slightly surprised to find Ynda's small body in his lap instead of her own seat. His face flushed form a lime green to a soft teal when she took his tail to wrap around himself. A mocking frown crept across his face. "You know, most of the time on MY planet, we wait until the second date to touch each other's tails"
Unagi butted in. "It's true! I didn't let Vibe touch mine until it was official." He smiled and flicked his tail back and forth in front of himself, obviously entertained by the smallest of things.
Dengeki returned his attention to Ynda. "I guess since you didn't know, I'll let it slide. Besides, if you don't use it, you might fly out of your seat and get smashed on the wall or something." He shrugged nonchalantly as the engine of the rocket became more audible.

Ynda looked from the one twin to the other, slightly annoyed as she wondered what was wrong now. Her own cheeks flushed slightly, but she attempted to hide them by lowering her head and glancing down at the green tail around her waist instead. "... how was I supposed to know something like that," she grumbled, then shrugged. "Well, it's not like I care what goes on your planet, Fishface. So don't get any ideas." She glanced back up and returned his mocking frown. "Besides, you should be happy that tail of yours is actually useful for once."

"Well, it's not like I care what goes on your planet, Fishface. So don't get any ideas." Dengeki's tone adopted a more serious tone. "You might not, but a lot of the operatives around us are aware of it. And that means people might get the impression that we're a couple."
"Besides, you should be happy that tail of yours is actually useful for once."
He smiled and uttered a small "You're right" He sent a small wave of electricity through his tail and shocked Ynda.

Ynda felt her cheeks turn even darker when he mentioned the word "couple", much to her own dismay. Just as she was about to protest, Dengeki gave her a small shock, which caused her to exhale a shriek in surprise. Growling, she instantly wanted to get him back and extended sharp claws from both paws. She then pressed the tips against Dengeki's tail, but held back some, not wanting to attack fully and risk a serious injury.

"It's true! I didn't let Vibe touch mine until it was official." As the boy smiled, Vibe rested a hand on the flicking tail as if to emphasise his point, just barely smiling herself. Juveniles of her species rarely let others touch their tails, simply because the fifth limb was rather brittle until they grew older; a defense mechanism as a result of evolution.
Cyril, having being forced back into his seat by another alien, was wriggling around, unable to contain his excitement. He was trying his best to focus on the conversation between Ynda and Dengeki, but found himself getting distracted more easily than he'd like.
One metal limb rested in her lap, holding onto the factfile she had been presented with earlier in the meeting, and a thinner offspring of the limb was slowly growing out. It twisted around like a growing vine, soon latching itself onto the main body of the limb again and continuing to twine around. It was merely an absentmindedly reaction to the tension and pressure the mission was causing, both around the girl and inside her own thoughts. Originally she was also trying to focus on the other pair's conversation, but losing interest quickly, she glanced back at Etoile instead, making sure he was alright. He seemed to have recovered from the event, but you couldn't be too careful.

Coordinates.
Planets.
Distances.
Etoile had unraveled the map and was looking at it again, feeling impressed by the sheer mass of space that it indicated. His planet, once so huge, was now just a tiny speck off to the side, miniature compared to the expanse of space, planets, stars, and suns that were splashed across the map.
He caught Nalo looking at him and smiled, showing her the map. "Is your planet on here?" Who knew if she was actually light years away, farther away than the map was capable showing? He rather liked his planet; it was shaped like a star, despite being a planet. That was where they got his name, his parents.
"I haven't been able to find the enemy headquarters yet. It's just so huge." All the dots and markings of planets were mind-blowing; he hadn't hide time to distinguish the one that they were about to shoot off toward. "But I'll find it! That's what good navigators do, right?" Another wide grin, showing a row of teeth. The red tip of his tail was waving behind him, almost unconsciously. It appeared that the boy had all but forgotten the events of a few minutes before, bouncing back quickly like nothing had happened.

*run run, pant* Must... keep... up!

Just like Milo-Lee and Finnick, the smallest alien of the bunch had kept relatively quiet throughout the conflict. He looked a bit tensed as he sat there, two arms clutching the end of the telescope, the other two clasped together nervously, the light that his antennea cast less bright than usual. So it was only natural that he was rather relieved when the arguements subsided and the air became friendlier again. To demonstrate this, the bolts atop his head shedded slightly more light than they had before, his mood turning like the events had. As a metallic voice sounded over the ship's intercom, startling him a little, he nodded, acknowledging to the invisible person that he understood the message. The little boy got to his feet and jumped for the strap of his seatbelt, which he caught in his hand. He struggled for a bit, using two hands to pull the cord to his level, but eventually managed (after a lot of squirming and twitching) to click the belt into its lock. The whole ordeal left him looking a bit frazzled, a soft blush tinting his cheeks due the amount of force he had to use.
Since the atmosphere had gotten a little quieter again, he could hear small footsteps coming this way. Seeing how the chair he sat in was so large and he had now been strapped in, his ability to move had become rather limited and he was unable to see what was going on. His first guess was that Etoile had returned from the bathroom, which proved to be correct when he head the shy voice of the alien speak up behind him, and Nalo emerging from behind his seat and settling herself back down in the seat she previously occupied. The Luminarian boy chuckled to himself as he heard Etoile apologize to Ynda and could only imagine what her face must look like. He got to see it for himself only minutes later when the yellow alien had seated himself once again, before being startled by the sudden reappearance by Ynda.
His antennea brightened visibly, upon hearing his green friend apologize in return, something he knew she was reluctant to do. Not knowing whether she'd seen it or not, Nebulos flashed her a wide smile, content and even somewhat proud she'd come around so quickly. She really wasn't as tough as she seemed to be. But he wouldn't say that out loud, of course. Happy that things had worked out, Nebulos's antennea brightened even more and it was rather obvious he was pretty much his old self again, something he always did rather quickly. Seeing how Etoile and Nalo were now occupied with the map, the little alien figured he might as well try out his own equipment.
He took the telescope in his hands and lifted it, closing one eye to use the other to peer through it. The telescope was proving to be rather heavy for someone his size and he had to make a rather big effort to stabilize the item. Turning on a few weels that ran across the telescope's edges, he figured out quickly there were several ways to zoom in and zoom out by adding different lenses. Very amused, the little boy started to entertain himself by looking around a bit and gently swung the telescope to the right. Quite suddenly, the lense focussed on Nalo's timber eye, which startled him a bit as the eye was suddenly a hundred times larger than it usually was. He let out a soft yelp in surprise, almost dropping the telescope to the floor. He quickly caught it with his extra set of had and chuckled embarassedly at his own actions.
"...Guess I'm not used to it yet..."
He said, to himself mostly, as he began to study the detail on the outer cast of the binoculars.

Aww, I thought it was cute! And kinda funny x3
---
Nalo's eyes met Etoile's as he noticed her presence, and she glanced down at the map once more as she asked him if her planet was visible. She hardly heard his next question because her eyes were scanning the paper rapidly, searching carefully. But she couldn't find it. Brow furrowed in confusion and annoyance, she looked again, and again, and began to wonder if it was on there at all. Grumbling slightly, she detangled the small offspring limb from the bigger one, and used it to rifle through the factfile she held, wondering if it contained anything which would indicate her planet's location. It only took her a few moments to find a sheet of text and diagrams about her planet, which she tugged free from its papery companions, scanning this page instead.
"Name: Revliss Nearest star: F'lythiare Nearest planet: Astryik Sun(s): One, present during nocturnal hours Moon(s): One, present during diurnal hours Year length ... Day le... ..."
There was plenty of information, but she couldn't find anything that really enlightened her to its position. Frustrated, she presented the sheet to Etoile, hoping that if she couldn't find her planet, he could. If it was on there at all, that is.
