The factfile gave him plenty of information, facts that Etoile hoped that he could use. He could very vaguely place the names of the star and planet nearby, as though he had heard of them, but very long ago. No doubt one of his instructors had just briefly mentioned the planet, and that had been the end of that.
But he was determined to find Nalo's planet for her, and so he let go of the map, letting it hang in the air above him with a faint red light around the edges, and used both fingers to start finding coordinates and calculating distances, meanwhile murmuring to himself whiel he struggled to figure it out. A mathematical mind, Etoile was not. But he was willing to try.
Cherry fingertips traced over a planet labeled "Lumin," which Etoile assumed was probably Nebulos' planet, if he remembered correctly. He would have to ask the little alien later. Moving upward, he searched for the star, knowing that it would be somewhere near the top if it was on the map. And if he even remembered his schooling like he thought he did.
Finally he located the star, F'lythiare, and his smile grew as he began to search around the area. After he had located the other planet that the factfile mentioned, he knew he was close, and then his fingertip finally rested on a round planet that was boldly labeled, "Revliss."
Excitedly, he pointed it out to her. "That's it, right?! Your planet isn't so far away from mine, look!"
Actually, it was a small length away, but Etoile was willing to overlook the distance in favor of believing that he had friends closer than he had expected.

Nalo, who had been sitting there grumpily and pessimistic while Etoile searched, glanced at him when he spoke, then leaned in closer to look where he was pointing. The speed at which her face lit up was incredible, as if someone had flicked a switch in her mind. A huge smile spreading across her face, and was accompanied by grateful eyes as she looked at Etoile again in thanks. She multitasked putting the factfile away and examining the map further, interested to know what other objects of space were visible on the paper.

Etoile beamed, feeling pleased with himself for having found her planet for her. Her change in demeanor had been almost amusing, and he was happy to see that she was delighted again. He turned to Nebulos while she examined the map, meaning to ask him about his planet, when all of a sudden, the rocket began to shout through the intercom, the voice booming.
"TAKE-OFF WILL OCCUR IN T-MINUS TEN SECONDS."
A little yelp escaped his mouth; Etoile hadn't imagined that they would be taking off so quickly. His ears flattened against his head as the voice continued to count down.
"ALL ALIENS PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOU ARE SAFELY SECURED. TEN. NINE. EIGHT. SEVEN."
He already felt a little terrified.
"SIX. FIVE. FOUR."
Was it too late to run?
"THREE. TWO."
I'MGOINGTODIEI'MGOINGTODIEI'MGOINGTODIE-
"ONE."
The engines roared, and fire burst out of the end of the rocket. The huge machine lurched upward, seemed to hesitate into the air, and then blasted into the sky, shaking and soaring through the open air. The sheer speed seemed to press against the aliens, and Etoile felt as though he was being flattened against his seat.
A yell of fear escaped his throat, but then he clamped his mouth and eyes shut, waiting for the initial blast-off to be over. All around him, the machines and systems were whirring and ticking and purring, all of them thick with life. The sky was flying by, and they were leaving the ground behind, far beneath them, like a fading memory.
His fingers clutched the bottom of his seat so fiercely that his skin had gone from a pale yellow to a white. If members of his species were capable of getting sick, no doubt he would be emptying the contents of his stomach. But instead, he was quite contented to just sit there, paralyzed with the utmost fear while they hurtled into the sky.
--
Etoile is a little scared of take-offs, can you tell? X3

As the mechanical-sounding voice churned out of the intercom, Nalo quickly diverted her attention to the belts holding her down, double-checking they were in place. A limb rolled up the map, holding onto it tightly for the moment, as she glanced around, for no apparent reason. The count down seemed to jar her whole body, and a few extra tendrils burst from her lower back, curling around the edges of the chair and holding her firmly in place. Not that it was really necessary, as when the blasts of the engines threw the rocket into the sky above, the girl felt as if she was being crushed into her seat, making any movement out of said seat impossible. Anxious and exhilarated simultaneously, she merely closed her eyes for a few moments, waiting for the initial rush to end.

(OO Moving so fast! Backing up just a bit)
Milo-Lee was thankful that everyone seemed to be getting along now, but she did notice that Cyril was still flapping around the cabin, even though it was almost time to take off. She lashed out, careful to be sure her claws were sheathed, and grabbed him around the leg. She pushed him into the chair next to her and quickly fastened the buckle. "Careful there," she said quietly, more to herself then him.
Shortly after, a voice was informing them that it was time for takeoff. Milo-Lee grabbed the seat and bit her lip as the rocket began to rise off the ground. A few moments later, she felt herself being forced against the seat. She glanced over at Finnick, who seamed much more relaxed. He really seemed to be enjoying the takeoff. Maybe he was just weird, that would explain why he talked to her. _______________________
Meh, pointless-ness....

Vibe had been stayed her usual level-headed self, but due to the elevated levels of tension, anxiety, and a variety of other powerful emotions, she was beginning to let everyone else's feelings influence her own. As the countdown began, she looped her arm around Unagi's, linking arms with him and resting her head on his shoulder for a moment, hoping it didn't too adversly affect the impact of the take off on her.
Cyril, after being forced back into his seat, was still showing no signs of worry, even as the countdown began, and soon ended, and let out a yell as if on a rollercoaster as they shot off into the sky.

Unagi suddenly felt the cold of Vibe's arm around him. He looked at her and smiled, unsure of whether to whisper sweet nothings into her ear to calm her down, or to just stay silent and enjoy the moment. Instead, he leaned in kissed he softly on the cheek. "Don't worry. Everything and everyone will be fine after the takeoff"
Once the rocket started to take off, Dengeki instinctively held onto Ynda and drew his tail closer to her. His expression became stoic, despite the girlish scream that had come from his newly adopted little brother. That is, until Unagi caught his eye and started laughing. Dengeki couldn't resist the laughter bubbling up in his own throat. They two stayed laughing as they finally took to the skies.

My goodness! I go to school and the RP jumps like 4 pages. Whew! XD I've got to go back a bit. ------------------
Niji buckled in her seat belt, and waited with quiet anticipation as the ship counted down to take off.
Five...
She smiled and shut her eyes happily. Her favorite part of being in a ship was when it blasted off, when it left the atmosphere, when the ship was no longer bound to the ground. It just felt so...freeing...
Four...Three...Two...
The colorful Princess sighed a bit as her thoughts drifted to her home planet Orgami and she felt a slight pang of guilt. She did feel a bit homesick, and yet, she did not want to go home just yet. She loved every visit to the base and secretly dreaded the days when she had to go back home. Don't get her wrong, she loved her planet and her people, more than all the colors in the universe. But when she was with the GKND, she felt...Almost normal. Here, they didn't treat her like a Princess, yes it was obvious that she was indeed royalty, but her friends did not treat her as such, they treated her like a normal kid...A regular girl. That was one of the reasons she loved seeing her friends here at the GKND. She got to be normal if only for a little while.
ONE!!
Her thoughts were interrupted as the ship took off, her body was pressed into the seat and when the ship finally stabilized and it started to cruise at a steady pace, she released a breath that she did not realize that she had been holding. Opening her pink and blue eyes, and they shimmered as she stared out the window at the starry vastness of space. ------------------------------------------- *shrugs* I didn't really know what to write, I hope this was alright.

I think it's just fine, Renee. - Ynda withdrew her claws as soon as the countdown began, not wanting to be reckless in a - for several aliens - anxious situation like this. Herself, she didn't feel very anxious, but she did realize what was about to come. She wrapped her tiny fingers around Dengeki's tail and stayed in this position until they were blasted off. Ynda was soon pressed back as well, Dengeki's stomach being the back of her seat. Due to her size, the entire take-off increased its impact on her. She shut her eyes and hoped her ears wouldn't start hurting, when she suddenly heard the twins laugh. She opened her eyes and gazed up at them both, slightly surprised. However, their laughter did have a positive effect on her. She managed to take the blast a little better thanks to the distraction, but she decided to remain safe in Dengeki's tail and stay close to him. For once, she didn't do anything to move away from him (if she would've been able to in the first place) and preferred to remain as close as possible, feeling safe this way.

Aww, Vibe and Unagi are sweet X3
- - - - -
The little boy was still busy rotating the telescope around, enjoying how things got larger and smaller when he turned the different wheels. He swiveled the item to the right again and caught the center of Etoile's face, who was turning to face him. Nebulos lowered the the telescope, but he had barely done so when the familiar electronic voiced boomed out of the ship's speakers again. His antennea brightened in surprise, not so much due the information, but due the suddenness the voice had appeared in. Registering the orders, the small alien quickly lifted the telescope and put it beside him, securing it behind the strap of his seatbelt so the precious item wouldn't get damaged during the blast-off. Nervously, but eager, Nebulos used all his four hands to clutch his seatbelt and chair, making sure he wouldn't shift out of place since the cord was rather large for him.
"Five... Four..."
The blue boy glanced to the side, there seeing Etoile, who looked absolutely terrified.
"Don't worry, it'll be fine!"
he said rather loudly and putting up a reassuring smile, though not sure if any of them had caught his words due the rather carrying volume of the metallic voice. Past Etoile he could catch a glimpse of Nalo's hair, the rest of her being blocked out by the yellow alien's white face.
"Three... two..."
He now looked to the other side, there seeing Milo-Lee and, closeby, Niji. Both girls looked rather apprehansive. He couldn't really blame them, either.
"...One!"
Nebulos squeezed his eyes shut, his tiny hands clasping whatever he held on to more firmly. He had been used to travelling in spaceships, but they usually didn't blast off this way. Hence forth, he let out a little yelp in surprise when the ship lunged out of base, pressing the small alien into the fabric of his chair. He squeezed his eyes tighter, his head-lanterns instinctively alluminating at the tough experience, which were also pressed back into his seat. Then, suddenly, he heard a rise of laughter rising from behind him. Nebulos slightly opened one eye, the noise catching his attention. If there was such a thing as a favourite sound, laughter had to be high on Nebulos's list. He recognized this laughter as those of the twins, who were often rather quick to lighten the situation. And it worked, for their chuckles proved to be rather contagious, especially on the boy who liked to laugh so much himself. A huge smile spread across the Luminarian's blue face, feeling excitement bubbling and tingling in his stomach. He shut his eyes tightly once again and clutched his hands more firmly, but kept grinning nonetheless.
"HERE WE GO, GUYS!!"
He bellowed and laughed, his voice carrying louder than one would expect from such a tiny creature.

Cheeks pooled with a terrified violet flush, Etoile relaxed as, with a little rumble that shook some of the panels, the rocket broke through the atmosphere and leveled out, and for a second, Etoile felt himself floating upward as the reaches of gravity let go of them.
"Engaging artificial gravity."
Etoile fell back onto the seat, rubbing his head. Behind him, his ears had picked up laughter, and when he glanced behind hm, his suspicions were confirmed. The twins had heard his fearful yell and had begun to laugh at him. Flushing with embarrassment, Etoile reached down and unlocked his seatbelt, leaping down onto the floor.
"All aliens may now report to their stations. Autopilot will shut down in two minutes."
Stretching to ease his aching muscles, Etoile glanced around at the group, mostly on Nebulos, who made him grin. The little alien was so easily excited, and his excited yelling during the take-off had kept Etoile from losing it entirely. He wished that he had that kind of spirit, but he would do without it.
Clutching his map, Etoile bounded away over to the navigational system, which was built with a coordinate system, a sonic chart, and various instruments that looked extremely complex. He grew excited as he began to look around the panels, figuring out the little switched and what they would do to help navigate the ship and plot the course.
And he hoped that no one saw him as, with a discreet gesture, he carried a small pool of water from the bathroom sink, hovered the droplets over the twins' heads, and then let the water dump onto them with a huge grin that he hid. Small, good-natured payback for laughing at him.

"Engaging artificial gravity."
Vibe flopped against her seat and her boyfriend, letting out an exasperated sigh. The tension in the air seemed to be loosening rapidly, meaning she was recuperating quickly too. But still she remained connected to the water alien, quite comfortable where she was. "Well that wasn't so bad," she commented absentmindedly, although really she'd never been very worried.
"All aliens may now report to their stations."
Nalo's tendrils were just detaching themselves from her seat, and the larger limb was fumbling with the straps. As soon as she broke free she was on her feet, or floating in a vertical position as the case may be. Glancing around, she began to wonder where on earth she could be helpful on such a mission. Glancing at Vibe and the twins, she considered her capabilities as a mechanic; after all, she could forge almost any tool from her own body mass.
"Autopilot will shut down in two minutes."
"Two minutes?!" Cyril yelled, displeased. He had escaped his buckles speedily this time, and was now standing on his seat. "These are my last two minutes of FREEDOOOM!" And with that, the yellow bird made the most of these one-hundred-and-twenty-seconds in which he wouldn't have to pilot the ship. Many aliens silently hoped that Finnick was a good enough pilot to fill in for what Cyril was too hyperactive to notice.

Ynda, just like Vibe, exhaled a deep sigh once the tension began to fade. She leaned forward, away from Dengeki's stomach, as she felt as though she'd been glued to it. She closed her eyes for a moment in order to relax, when she was suddenly drenched in water that seemed to come put of nowhere.
Instantly, her eyes widened in shock and her upbuilding calmth immediately disappeared. Seeing as Ynda couldn't swim at all, water was one of her biggest fears - regardless of the amount. Her body seemingly frozen, she lost control and filled the following seconds with a loud yell. Once she realized what she was doing, she quickly slapped both paws on her mouth and lowered her head, trembling with fear.
Get it off, get it off, get it off... she whimpered in thought, hardly able to stand the liquid on her body.

Etoile swung around in his seat, having discovered that one of the switches was able to locate planets and eager to tell someone about it. He was already fascinated by the various tools and couldn't wait to explore them, first by finding a view of his own planet.
And then he saw Ynda, and he froze in absolute horror.
He had forgotten about her in his attempt to playfully get back at the twins, and now he regretted it, seeing her trembling. He had already had a bad run-in with her once, and now, guessing that she was probably about to rip his head off, he could only do one thing.
Letting out a ripping scream, he bolted from his chair and ran behind Nalo, standing behind her and using her as a shield from Ynda's view. "DON'T LET HER KILL ME!"

A moment later, Ynda managed to slowly get over the shock, unfreezing at the same time. As soon as she managed to move fully, she began shaking the water off madly, making some sounds that implied she was covered in mud instead. She then looked up when she heard Etoile's voice scream out in fear. That was enough for her to realize that he was the culprit behind this prank - and there was no way she'd let him get away with it.
She soon spotted him and his vain attempt to hide behind Nalo. She needed a moment to free herself from Dengeki's tail and jumped on the floor, her arms spread threateningly. "I'm going to kill you," she hissed, not at all considering the fact she apologized to him not too long ago.
