Finnick's ears perked when he saw the light shining from the vent. His hopes were confirmed when Nebulos popped out. Perfect He thought, watching him take a seat, If anyone can make her feel welcome, it's Nebulos. "Hey, come on," Finnick said, grabbing her hand as he stood up, pulling her along with him. "There's someone I want you to meet!" He began zipping across the hall, pulling Milo-Lee from the back o the room to the front where Nebulos sat.
What's this kid's problem? Milo-Lee thought as Finnick pulled her across the hall. "What do you think you're doing!" She barked as he swerved around into the front row. Great...
Finnick quickly stopped in front of Nebulos, causing Milo-Lee to crash in to him, "Careful," he said warmly before turning to him. "Hi, Nebulos! I have someone I want you to meet!" He pulled Milo-Lee around in front of him, "This is Milo-Lee" Milo-Lee blushed and quietly said, "H-hello"

Little, swinging feet that resembled pendulums were silent, although the owner's heart was not. The connected segments were still hammering away, as the blue eyes of the alien watched others file in from different parts of the room. They were different shapes and sizes, different species, with voices that both terrified and intrigued him. He wanted desperately to be bold like they seemed, to be the fierce operative that he was expected to be. But so far, his voice was still buried deep inside the caverns of his throat.
He noticed some, however, that seemed shy like he. Especially one sitting near him, alone in the gigantic room. With the ceiling looming so far overhead, it was easy to feel intimidated and insignificant in the room.
His feet hit the floor as he slid off of the chair. Each antenna was turned in a different direction, picking up noises and movements from those around him and feeding him information so that he might know what to expect. Shuffling, hesitant, he approached the female sitting nearby him with the word "Nalo" stitched into the fabric of her uniform in thread, which he assumed was her name.
"D-D'jo n'tan'i!" he stammered in his tiny squeak of a voice, completing his planet's traditional greeting with a small, sweeping bow. "I'm Etoile, er, numbuh 2521. I-It's nice to meet you!" Another bow. The citizens of his planet tended to bow frequently to show respect and no intent to harm. While to him it was normal, it must've looked funny to those around him, with his scarlet-purple curls bouncing around his face lightly.
A small part of him was desperately hoping that she wasn't a yellow-alien-eater.

"D-D'jo n'tan'i!" came a voice from somewhere on Nalo's left, causing her train of thought to stop suddenly, and then vanish. Looking at the source of the noise, she soon realised it was the fellow alien on her row, who was just straightening from a bow to continue speaking. "I'm Etoile, er, Numbuh 2521. I-It's nice to meet you!" He bowed again, clearly nervous.
Nalo blinked at the small alien, then hastily smiled, not wanting to seem too cold towards her peer. It was all too easy for her to give the wrong impression. She gave a quick nod to acknowledge him and return the kind greeting, then gestured to her name and numbuh on her clothing, hoping the other alien would understand. Sometimes getting her message across could be rather difficult. Ploughing on, she then gestured to the empty seat beside her, offering it to the newcomer, seeing no reason to force him to continue standing.

Still roaming through his own thoughts, Nebulos wasn't aware of the pair of aliens that was headed in his direction. He twirled his thumbs absent-mindedly as he waited, so it was quite surprising when someone suddenly called out to him.
"Hi Nebulos!"
The blue boy's antennea alluminated brightly, a reaction that usually occured when he was caught off guard, and he was pretty sure he left his chair untouched for a second when he jumped at the sound of his name. He whipped his head around, antennea and hair flying, his widened eyes blinking in shock at the sudden, unexpected arrival. The moment he saw who it was, his eyes regained their normal size and a joyful smile was quick to appear on his soft features.
"Finnick!"
He exclaimed in kid-like glee, as if he had not seen the operative since a long time ago. It wasn't surprising behaviour, at least not to anyone who had met him before. The Luminarian boy got excited about things quite easily, and a smile was never hesitant to cross his mouth when such things occured. He quickly got to his feet, standing upon the chair in order to have a better view upon his visitor. There were two of them, he now saw. The one standing next to Finnick was a girl, and he quickly figured she was the one he wanted to introduce, having said this just a second ago.
"This is Milo-Lee."
He exclaimed, holding the girl by the arm, seeming glad to introduce her to him. Said Milo-Lee, however, looked more hesitant than her companion.
"H-hello..."
She said, a soft red hue tinting beneath her fur. She seemed to be a little flustered at the sudden introduction. Or perhaps it was due the unusual circumstances. Nebulos couldn't recall having seen her before, which made him wonder if she was a new recruit, or perhaps a member of a different Sector. It wasn't always easy to keep track of all the aliens that lived in the gihoogic base. Nonetheless, the happy curve on his face only grew, causing his eyes to squint pleasantly.
"Hi!"
he said, his antennea flashing as he did so, obviously quite joyful that they were getting introduced.
"I'm Nebulos and I'm Luminarian, from the planet Lumin. I'm not sure if you've heard of that before."
He giggled softly, his antennea brightning once more, a costum on his planet when greeting one another. He gave her a quick salute with his upper right arm, before continuing.
"...Also known as Numbuh 1001011, Communications Officer and Infiltration operative."
He added a soft, slow nod after this statement, his eyes closing briefly when his head was lowered. He looked back up at the duo, hoping that his identification had been polite enough. Good manners had always been valued where he lived, and he liked to stick to that idea.

Her pink and blue eyes fluttered open as she heard the high pitched beeping from a purple thermometer like device play over and over again, she inhaled deeply,
"Ji'Koai, Ji'Koai. I'm awake..." She mumbled reaching over to her nightstand and pressing the button to silence the device. After the beeping came to a stop she gently placed the silver tip on top the diamond shaped gem on the center of her forehead, after a moment her gem and the thermometer began to glow a bright, vibrant orange. She gave a satisfied giggle,
"I'm fully energized, and good to go!" She said triumphantly, and floated gracefully out of bed. She levitated toward the vanity to brush her long rainbow colored hair back in place, and reached for her golden tiara to place it on her head. Satisfied with her appearance she exited her multicolored room, to find...No one. The hallway was empty. Princess Niji raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Hm, that's odd. I wonder where everyone is? Surely, I haven't been asleep that long." and with that thought she flew down the hall in search of her friends.

Milo-Lee smiled at Nebulos and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. Both of them, Finnick and Nebulos, seemed nice, but everything was so new, moving so fast. "Like he said," She nodded toward Finnick, "The name's Milo-Lee." She leaned down and gave Nebulos a quick peck on the cheek, and wheeled around and did the same to Finnick. As embaressing as it was, it was considered polite on her planet, and they'd been so nice to her, she didn't want to seem rude. However she could tell right away from the look on they're faces that she might of.

She hadn't responded to him at all, not verbally. That was odd.
But her gesture towards the seat next to her seemed welcoming enough, so Etoile scrambled onto it and began to swing his feet again, like the ticking of a clock. She had seemed to be responding to him, by motioning at her name, but Etoile couldn't figure out why she didn't just say it.
He was so entirely nervous, faced with this new greeting, that he accidentally began to mumble in his home planet's language. "N'thlan jo'ur d- I-I mean, it's nice to meet you. Nalo, right? D-Do you know why we're here?"
In a split second, he realized that if she hadn't spoken the first time, she probably wouldn't speak now. Immediately feeling a wave of guilt wash over him, he began to tug on one of his curls anxiously, with little bits of light starting to fill his fingertips. "I-I mean, you don't have to, I mean, c-can you talk? If you can't, that's okay, you don't have to answer, I'm sorry!"
As if this little ramble wasn't enough, he went on, working himself up into a tiff. "I really don't mean to be so insensitive, promise, and I could try to read your expressions, maybe, I-I'm pretty good at reading body language, I'm sorry!" He offered his best smile at her, his purple tongue barely visible behind his wall of teeth. His hand was still anxiously tugging on a lock of hair.
If he got any more nervous, he might end up accidentally balding himself.

Throughout all of Etoile's babbling, Nalo merely sat and watched him, listening to him speak. As he dug himself into a deeper and deeper awkward hole, she wished there was some way she could tell him that it was alright, and to calm down already.
In the moment after her new neighbour finished speaking, Nalo suddenly reached out a hand - or the end of her arm where her hand would be - to touch his face. Holding it there, her cold "palm" pressed against his rapidly warming cheek, she looked back down into his eyes with what she hoped was a reassuring expression. She couldn't explain why she was doing it, so it would be understandable if it freaked him out. Nalo just wanted to be able to understand the gibberish of his native language, and this was certainly the easiest way for her.
After what must have felt like an age, she withdrew her hand, smiling warmly and apologetically at the startled boy, worried he was going to be frightened off by her actions. He did seem very shy, and being prodded without warning probably wasn't good for his mental health.

I'm lazy, so I'll post the description later. xD ~
"Hey, this way!" An annoyed escort attempted to get the attention of the operative he was supposed to be ushering. The operative glanced his way for what seemed like a millisecond, and then turned back to the girl he had been flirting with. His sharp, purple teeth made his smile seem mocking and his dark blue eyes weren't visible under his teal hair. His long bioluminescent tail swayed back and forth, like a cat, which was ironic, due to his fishlike features.
"Numbuh X*3!"
The operative, upon hearing his numbuh, glanced at the escort and flipped his hair out of his eyes in order to meet his gaze. His eyes were soft, yet he looked like he was about to attack the escort. Instead, he replied softly, "Isno koh jekita, relax, I'm coming"
He turned to the female operative and delicately took her hand. Taking it up slowly with one hand, he moved the hair out of his face to look into her eyes. Before she could fully react, he kissed it softly and whispered, "Don't worry, we'll meet again." And just like that, he left, leaving her dumbfounded and in a metaphorical puddle on the floor. As soon as he left the girl and followed the escort, a loud voice erupted into his ear. "TOKYNATA!!! Dengeki, I told you not to do anything stupid during the orientation!!!" Dengeki winced at the sound of his brother's voice and adjusted the earpiece in his ear. He spoke calmly.
"Unagi, chill. Nothing's gonna happen" He walked slower so that the escort wouldn't hear his secret conversation. "We'll be fine. And you gotta admit, she was pretty cute"
"Have you forgotten that I'm hiding out in a restroom and I can't see you?" Unagi's voice was acidic with sarcasm.
"Well, we can't switch now. When this guy leaves, I'll let you know."
"Fine. Don't do anything stupid. "
"I can't make any promises."

I love the twins already. XD This is going to be so fun, I can tell! After a little bit more of meeting each other, I'll introduce the guy who's going to brief them on the assignment.
--
Etoile blinked and felt a rush of scarlet pour into his pale yellow cheeks. He had no idea what the female alien was doing, but he was too embarrassed to ask. Shifting uncomfortably under her touch, he was relieved when she pulled her hand away, meanwhile giving him a look that he felt was meant to be reassuring. A feeble smile crossed his face in response.
"I-I don't know what you were doing," he mumbled, twisting his fingers together, "a-and you can't really tell me, s-so I'm guessing that it's, er, it's not bad, right?" A hopeful assumption, especially considering that he was still not sure that the hall was not filled with yellow-alien-eaters.
He was silent for a few moments, his fingers adjusting one of his antennae to listen to a new noise that was sounding down another hall. But he was not concerned with this noise; he was more focused on the situation at hand. Although the operative in front of him could not speak, he was under the impression that she meant no harm.
So he meekly began, tripping over his words awkwardly in his attempt to sound imploring. "I-I . . . d-d'ya wanna be friends? J'lane, i'so wan'ai, I-I know you can't really talk to me, b-but I can try my hardest to understand you anyway, promise I can!" His cheeks had darkened considerably during his speech to a violet color, and now he ducked his head shyly, ears flicking downwards toward the ground meekly.

This response is a bit rushed, but I wanted to get it dooone before I left to run grocery-shopping related errands. XD ---
"I-I don't know what you were doing," he mumbled, twisting his fingers together, "a-and you can't really tell me, s-so I'm guessing that it's, er, it's not bad, right?"
Nalo nodded to confirm this, although the boy still seemed a little distracted, so she wasn't even sure if he noticed. Taking a moment to glance around the room, she noticed the rows were slowly filling up with more aliens of every shape and size. This did not surprise her: she had noticed an increase of volume around them, presumably from the chatter of the social ones.
Her train of thought was interrupted again when the male operative beside her spoke up once more.
"I-I . . . d-d'ya wanna be friends? J'lane, i'so wan'ai, I-I know you can't really talk to me, b-but I can try my hardest to understand you anyway, promise I can!"
Nalo just looked at the unfortunate kid while he spoke, her head tilted to one side ever so slightly, a curious expression on her face. Her smile grew wider and she nodded, making certain he saw it this time. Making friends could be difficult for her, but this kid may have just made it a whole lot easier.

Aww, I love Etoile X3 He's so cute! And Nalo too! I love how she communicates ^-^ - - - - - A faint violet colour appeared on Nebulos's cheeks, right after Milo-Lee had pecked him there. His antennea alluminated a little, as he could not help but me a little surprised at the sudden action. A hand put on his cheek, he observed how Milo-Lee did the same thing to Finnick, who also seemed to be a little caught of guard by this bold move. Having witnessed this, Nebulos was quick to figure that she either had to be a very forward type, or had only performed something that was considered costum on the planet she came from. He guessed it would be the latter, seeing how the girl had been a little apprehensive when Finnick had taken her along to come and introduce her to him. And thus, the boy's content smile quickly curved upon his blue features once again, nodding once to show he appreciated her gesture and that it didn't make him feel uncomfortable. He was rather the spontaneous type anyway, and was glad to accept any sign of friendship that held a hand out to him. Nebulos made a quarter turn, now facing the back of his chair, and jumped nimbly, so he was now half-hanging across the seat's backrest. His tiny legs dangled beneath him, while his upper arms clutched the back of the chair to keep his balance and prevent him from tumbling back down. Still smiling, he let his pale eyes wander across the room, oberving the different aliens which slowly began to fill the gihoogic room. "There sure are a lot of people here today!" he said, excitement sounding clearly through his kiddy voice. His antennea flashed once more, before he continued, "There's a lot of them I haven't seen yet. I wonder why we're being summoned. Whatever it might be, I'm sure it's big!" Having just said so, the small boy spotted a green shape in the distance, whom he recognized as Dengeki. Or Unagi, he couldn't really tell from his current position. Nebulos smiled and waved, flashing his antenena repeatedly in the process, though not entirely sure whether the aquatic alien would see him or not. He was bewildered for a second as he wondered why there was only one brother instead of two. The question was soon diminished, figuring they'd probably had their reasons for it. His head swiveled back to the feline duo next to him, his smile ever present. "What do you think is gonna happen? I sure am curious. It doesn't happen every day that so many aliens are called to gather here."

Milo-Lee grit her teeth and rocked back on her heels, trying to hid her embarresment. Finnick looked shocked for a second, then, seeing the look her face, put his hand on her sholder and gave her a reassuring smile. Come on, Milo, pull yourself together. She told herself. Here she was with a chance for a fresh start and she was blowing it.
"I don't know, must be big though," Finnick said turning from Milo-Lee, who was now looking a little less akward, to Nebulos, who had just asked about the nature of the meeting. He scanned the hall, which was starting to fill up. "I've never even seen a ton of the operatives here," It was true, he spotted one of the twins entering, but other than that, he didn't recognize most of the faces in the hall.

A shrill yell was heard from the corridor leading to the white hall. Moments later, another (more audible) yell was heard.
"STOP THIS INSTANT!!"
Mere nanoseconds after the instigation was uttered, a blur of white, yellow and blue zoomed into the room, colliding with the far wall and then falling limply to the floor. The room hushed for a second to look at the commotion, but soon everyone became distracted with their own conversations again. The limp yellow object suddenly came back to life, and flapped its wings excitedly.
"That was so cool!! Did anyone see how fast I was going?!!"
Cyril Handlebar, ecstatic as ever, failed to realise that no one was listening to him. This was no trouble, as he was bounding away from the wall and towards the seating area before anyone could have responded, had they been around in order to do so.
(So sue me, I wanted to bring Cyril in. Vibe's going to show up shortly, too. :3)
