Then let's DO THIS THING. -- "TALA J'NANI GANMADE!" Uh oh. That was the voice that meant trouble. Orange eyes whirling around, the teenager dropped the container that she was holding. A few thoughts flitted through her head. Could Etoile possibly know that she was currently stealing from his candy stash? No, there was no way. Maybe he found out about the pudding incident. . . no, Dengeki had promised not to tell. Hurriedly, she picked up the container of candy again and shoved it back into place, pocketing her stolen sweets and sprinting out of his room. He found her only a minute later, and Tala took a second to think about how similar they were while he stalked toward her. He was still taller, unfortunately, a fact that often left her disgruntled. She would have loved to be taller than him. But they carried the same frames - lithe, lanky, and graceful. Etoile often commented about how she was finally growing into her own body, and this fact left her pleased. But they were still starkly different. Etoile looked like a fireplace, crackling warmly, and Tala looked like a valley of grass and plants that were being tossed in the wind. Not to mention that Etoile was finally starting to build some muscle, and Tala was as thin as ever. "Can you explain this to me?" The boy held up a paper and Tala almost snorted with laughter. She had taken the liberty of drawing beautiful doodles all over one of his papers. Which was apparently important. Oops. "Er. . ." One of her antennae twitched. "I'd rather not, actually. Peace out, Flashlight!" Grinning, she sprinted away from him, and laughed delightedly when she heard him chasing after her. Winding her way through the headquarters, she led him into the room that usually contained many aliens, hoping for witnesses in case he decided that killing her is a good idea. When they had reached the center of the room, he tackled her to the floor, sitting on her back so that she was pinned down. "I win," he said smugly, and Tala let out an exasperated, somewhat annoyed huff of air. One day she would be faster than him. She would make sure of it. Climbing off of her, Etoile stood up, stretched his elongated body, and glanced around to see who was about so that he could offer his greetings while Tala fumed silently on the floor. She would only stand up when she felt it necessary, so Etoile left her there, silently hoping that no one would trip over her thin, bony body. Although. . . it would be a little funny. -- I figure that first we'll all get them together in the same room and have them talking for a bit or doing whatever, and THEN the lights would go out. I hope no one minds.

A minute or two later, two teens happened upon Tala. The feline girl, the taller of the two despite being smaller than an average teen, wore a skintight white camisole, covered with an unzipped, oversized teal sweatshirt that was constantly threatening to cover her paws. She was also wearing a pair of jeans with a white patch over one knee and white tennis shoes. A teal hat covered her short, gold hair, but tuffs of it jutted out messily everywhere at random angles.
The boy, smaller than his companion despite his large, bat-like ears, wore a light green shirt with sky blue rings around the sleeves and a cartoony picture of a bat in the same color in the middle. He had on white pants with two sky blue strips running along the outside of each leg, and, like the girl, white tennis shoes. Large, round glasses filled most of his face, since, as it so happened, the light in the base, much brighter than on his home planet, did damage his sight a bit after a few years. His nearly shoulder length, sky blue hair nearly covered his eyes as he glanced at the green and yellow figure on the ground. "Tala?" Finnick said, "Are you ok?" He crouched down, offering his hand to the girl to help her up.

The orange eyes blinked up at him, and the girl rolled over, sliding her hands under her head and simply staring up at him while her tail waved lazily in the air.
"I. . . am awesomesauce," she responded, with a wide grin full of yellow teeth. "Being stretched out on the floor is all the rage, this season, and you should try it sometime."
Meanwhile, she completely ignored his hand. Whether this was to protect her dignity, or simply because she enjoyed being unpredictable, no one would ever know.

Suddenly, two identical boys burst into the room, gasping for breath. Their heads darted back and forth searching for something. A place to hide. Almost instantly, one of the two noticed Tala, sprawled on the ground, and sprinted toward her, pulling the other by his tail. He dove for the ground, narrowly missing the energetic girl and her companions. “Shhh! We’re hiding.” He whispered. When he turned his head toward her, his hair fell to the side, exposing a pair of laughing purple eyes.
On Tala’s other side, Dengeki lay next to her, smiling with the satisfaction of a job well done. He whispered as well, informing her of what they had done. “When Etoile left to go chase you, we saw this as a perfect opportunity to-“He cut himself off as a fit of laughter struck him. Once his composure was regained, he looked at Tala again, continuing the story. “We figured, we should-“ Another round of laughter, this time Unagi joined in.
Unagi spoke next, seeming to have an easier time keeping a straight face, though not by much. “So we figured that since Etoile’s room is like right next to the laundry room,” He began, waiting to be finished by his brother.
“And we filled the machines, so that all the bubbles would float up,”
“And they will flow through the vent, into your dear brother’s room.”
“And eventually fill it to the brim with bubbles!!!”
The boys shouted the last line together and howled with laughter. The boys commenced a high five over Tala’s body and scanned the room for Etoile.

"I. . . am awesomesauce. Being stretched out on the floor is all the rage, this season, and you should try it sometime."
"I see," He replied, one eyebrow raised, as he straightened up. He couldn't say the girl's refusal of help was really surprising, you sort of got used to everyone's randomness after a while, but he could never quite peg what Tala would do next.
"Good luck with that, Tala," said Milo-Lee, finally speaking up, with a dismissive wave of her tail. Finnick never really got Milo-Lee either, somedays, she was friendly and talkative, and somedays, like today, she wanted little to do with anyone but him, being the one person she almost never shut out. She had already taken one step in the direction of the coach and TV in the corner when two more teens entered the room. The two boys quickly ran past Milo-Lee and Finnick and dove down beside Tala.
“Shhh! We’re hiding.”
Milo-Lee paused for a second, listening to the twins tell the girl of the prank they had pulled on her brother. Even though it wasn't really any of her concern, her less-than-great mood made it impossible not to comment, "Nice hiding place, boys, I'll come to your funeral," She said in a flat voice before walking off to the coach. Finnick blushed, a bright green color covering his cheeks, and sputtered out a quick, "S-sorry about that," before darting off after his friend

Tala laughed continued to beam up at Finnick with the utmost innocence until two flashes of green came diving into the room, landing beside her with a claim that they were hiding. Funny, considering her miniature stature and the fact that she was stretched out on the floor. But heck, she didn't mind.
A boisterous laugh bubbled up her throat when they told her of their prank on her brother. "You guys are brilliant! I love it!" Their pranks were slowly getting messier, and Etoile would no doubt be displeased the next time he entered his room. Tala had to admire their maniacal brilliance when it came to such matters, but no doubt the boy would simply roll his eyes, clean it up, and plan his next move for revenge.
"Nice hiding place, boys, I'll come to your funeral."
A frown tugged downward at Tala's mouth. Normally, she had no problems with the girl who had uttered the statement, but it appeared that she was on something today. Her voice came out sharply as she responded, "Talk to them like that again and I'll be the cause of your funeral. In case you haven't noticed, I'm finally getting some chub that should hide them quite nicely." One finger poked at her stomach that was startlingly thin with no sign of any "chub" that she might have been referring to.
Trust Tala to mix a joke in with a snappy retort.
She watched Milo-Lee walk away and settled back down on the floor and settled back on the floor, resuming her job of being completely, utterly, and unstoppably awesomesauce. "Thanks!" she called after Milo-Lee, who had sarcastically wished her luck with her occupation of being as such. Her eyes swung over to Finnick, a grin taking over her face quite nicely. "Don't worry, someday you'll be awesomesauce like me."
Meanwhile, Etoile's attention had been caught by the storming Milo-Lee, who looked like she might kill. He had seated himself snugly on the couch, and sent her a concerned glance. "Are you okay?"

A colorful blur hovered into the room, her feet barely touching the ground with her ever present bodyguard in toe behind her. In Niji's arms was a medium sized basket filled with colorful fruits and yummy berries.
"I'm going to try to bake another fruit pie..." She vowed looking at the basket of fruit in her arms. "The last fruit pie I made wasn't that bad. Right?" She asked the wolf-like alien apprehensively. She was almost afraid of his answer. "I-I mean sure it had a kind of bitter taste and color to it, but...It was still delicious! At least I thought it was..." She pouted remembering how some of her male friends gagged slightly on the pie, it was her first try at cooking anything. She had never even touched a stove before then, the royal chefs at the palace took care of all the cooking. So, in an attempt to do something nice for her friends, she slaved over that stove for hours baking that pie, with the deepest hopes that her friends would love it. But she was wrong, so very, very wrong. She blushed in embarrassment. "Well this one will be better this time." She muttered her eyebrows furrowed in determination. "You'll be the first to taste it, okay?" She turned back to Masurao, her pink and blue irises shimmered with hopefulness. He usually ate whatever she dessert she attempted to make, and she was so grateful for it. It made her feel happy and warm inside. It was times like this were she appreciated his silent nature. Even if he didn't quite enjoy her cakes, and pies, he never expressed it out loud. When it came to her baking, somethings were better left unsaid.

"Talk to them like that again and I'll be the cause of your funeral. In case you haven't noticed, I'm finally getting some chub that should hide them quite nicely."
The girl's only reaction to this was a snort follow by a string of muttering under her breath that seemed to include, ".... Love to see you try..." as she walked away. She sat down in a huff on a coach across the room. Only then did she notice Etoile.
"Are you okay?"
"Fine. Just peachy." She spat out, despite the fact that something was clearly wrong. For a second, she felt bad about snapping at him, but it quickly past, chases away by her bad mood. She pulled off her hat, her short, gold hair falling into a messbunch around her head. She quickly turned the hat over and over in her paw, glaring at Finnick for a brief moment, hinting that the boy, normally her closest friend, was the sorce of her foul mood.
Finnick, although not very happy with Tala at the moment for what she'd said to his friend, rolled his eyes and chuckled a bit at her last remark. "One can only hope, Tala," He said with a grin, pushing his glasses up and glancing at Milo-Lee quickly. A worried look crossed his face, unsure what was wrong with the feline girl, normaly so chipper.
