NOT YEEETTT!! XD

"There is going to be the best thing EVER!"
Startled, the smaller teen flashed his antennae in alarm at the sudden outburst of a person who was not there before. Nearly dropping his comic book, Nebulos averted his eyes from the pictures to the alien in the doorway. It was Chaosky, he saw, and he was -needless to say- very excited. Looking a little flustered still, Nebulos meant to inquire what the commotion was about, but his green companion on the sofa beat him to it.
"What?" she said, her tone of voice indicating she was not pleased with the unexpected event. Tala, however, perceived the situation differently and started to guess what the 'best thing ever' could possibly be.
Masurao, who had been reclining on the windowsill of one of the ginormous windows their lounge area supported, merely twitched his mane when the enthusiastic ice-alien had burst inside. Unbiased as ever, he hardly moved a muscle when Chaosky made this vigorous exclamation. He did, however, open one eye when he heard Tala call out her idea of a statue, and refrained from casting his eyes to the ceiling. He had heard about the infamous statue and rather wished not to dwell on the idea of where Tala might have stored it in their Base, considering she had made it quite a while ago. Composedly, the guard closed his eyes again and rested his head back against the wall, his demeanor relaxed, but the slightly moving mane indicating his attention.

"They are going to hold a DANCE!"
This was something most operatives knew by now, that a ritual would be for once a year to have such a dance... and this time it has been selected for the up comming week.
The dance would be to symbolize the new year and although most Aliens loved the idea of the dance... some... were not as happy.
Chaosky waited impatiently to see if his idea of the best thing ever was their idea too. He was sure it would be.... but then again he was still fairly young.

[[CAN I GUESS AGAIN, JAS? I GUESS 1. XD]]
"That's DISGUSTING!"
The green-haired girl's gaze snapped toward Chaosky and she looked clearly enraged, her eyebrows lifting indignantly.
And at the same time, she blinked.
"I WIN!" Etoile's arms shot up into the air and he sent Tala a smug gaze before turning to Lunira. "You saw that, right? You saw it! She blinked; I win!"
"Wait, no fair! He surprised me!"
Etoile hooked his arm around her and pulled her in teasingly while the girl batted him good-naturedly with her fists, meanwhile complaining about the idea of a dance. Her main complaints included a fluffy dress, but she had others, as well, such as "It's not like I'll even get asked to dance", "that's a STUPID idea, we could be playing Flitszerball", and "I look stupid in dresses!" A red band of power wrapped itself around her mouth, shutting her up quite effectively.
"Really?" Etoile asked Chaosky, his eyes lighting up. "That's going to be so fun! And I'll make sure Tala gets there, dressed appropriately."
He was certain that if her mouth was free to speak, she could be cursing him out in their native tongue after that statement.

[lol, my guess is 4, then]
Giggling, Lunira nodded at Etoile to confirm the winning, and stood up from her seat. "A dance?"
At the sound of it, she began to think thoughtfully about a few years ago, back when the base had another dance. It was held on the human celebration of Valentine's day and there were a lot of things that had followed to prepare for it.
She looked towards Tala who seemed to be protesting it all before walking over towards Chaosky. "Did they say when this dance is going to be held?"
Again, Lunira thought of the last dance she went to, and if she remembered, it happened sometime in the early months that came after the new year. However, the announcement for a dance like this seemed a little too early to be a Valentine's one.

Ynda stared at Chaosky for a moment, surprised by the announcement of a dance. This was actually the first time she heard about it, but aside from the news surprising her, it also made her happy. Unlike Tala, she was actually fond of events like a dance or a party, and didn't mind at all to wear a fancy dress once a while.
This happiness remained inside her, however. No way was she giving away so quickly that she liked girly stuff like that. Pretending to still not care at all, she fixed her eyes upon her book again, lifting it in front of her face to hide a small blush.

Okay, how about...2? -----------------------------------
Niji sat on the other end of the sofa with a notebook and pen in hand, and headphones in her ears, currently listening to the latest G-boys song on her music player. She was busy working on a cheer for the Solar Squad, that was the name of Sector SUN's cheer leading team and as the squad's leader she was in charge of pepping up the team and the audience with awesome cheers. She stopped writing for a moment to gaze at her written work, after reading it over, she grimaced slightly, "There has to be a cooler word that rhymes with su-" Her train of though was interrupted when a small ice-alien slid into the room with all the excitement of a kid at Christmas. Raising an eyebrow, the multicolored teen Princess removed her headphones, looking down at the light blue alien curiously,
"There is going to be the best thing EVER!" He exclaimed ecstatically, Niji placed the notebook down, tilting her head questioningly,
"What?" Came the short, heated reply on the other end of the couch by Ynda. Her reading was interrupted, she wasn't in the best of moods right then, but then again when was she ever in a good mood, Niji giggled inwardly at that though.
"Best thing ever?" Tala echoed, "Does that mean that my statue was finally inducted in the Space Museum of Art?"
"Doubt it, that thing can hardly count as art."
Niji snickered, certainly it wasn't the best statue she had ever seen, but it wasn't the worst by far. Though it was stored away somewhere on the fact that it did scare some of the younger operatives.
"They are going to hold... a DANCE!" Chaosky cried happily.
Niji smiled, well she wasn't sure if it was the best thing ever, but it was definately the most interesting news she had heard all day.

A grin passed his face as the small alien was asked so many questions about it. He had never had people talk to him before let alone peers. Usually the only words that would be said to him was things like, "Hey you!" or... "Man... are you SHORT!"
Well, he didn't think this much about it while standing there but smiled to the one who asked the question, giving an innocent smile, "Five days from now." He said, his spirit held high while feeling a sense of purpose, "The dance will be so much fun!!"
Happily he walked from the center of the room to a couch. "Now I gotta find out what I wanna wear!!"

"They are going to hold a DANCE!"
Milo-Lee turned back around with a slight huff, as she had no desire to attend a dance and she'd rather have something she cared about interrupt her game. It's wasn't so much the idea of the dance that repelled her, she rather enjoy dancing and music, but what going to a dance entailed. Things like dresses and dates, things she wanted nothing to do with.
Finnick, on the other hand, turned back to her with a shy, excited smile, which melted away instantly when he saw the girl's less-than-thrilled expression. "You don't want to go?"
Her eyebrow raised, as if she was confused by him thinking she would, "Why would I?"
He blushed a little, "Well, I mean, it would be fun, and, umm, well, you wouldn't, you know, have to get a date, or anything... I mean if you don't want to, of course! I mean, if you wanted to, we could you kno-"
The feline girl put her paw of the boy's mouth to cut off his babbling, "Finnick, I'm going to move my paw, and you are going to tell me what you want, ok? No ranting, just tell me,"
"Do you want to go with me!" His blush deepened, and it looked as if her couldn't believe the words had come from his mouth. "I mean, just as friends!" He added quickly, watching her hopefully.
Milo-Lee stared at him for a moment, wide-eyed, and she felt a sudden heat warm the the fur over her cheeks. "I-I..." On one hand, there wasn't really a boy in the base she'd rather go with than Finnick, but there was still the whole problem of wearing a dress, and the facr that she didn't want to add to the rumors she's often heard about her and her friend. She looked him in the eyes, wide and excited beneath his glasses and knew she couldn't refuse. "Kay, sure," She smiled a little, "I guess, it might be some fun, right?"
"Of course," He said grinning widely and nodding happily.
"... And it's not, y'know, a date, or anything, right?" She added, hoping she didn't hurt his feelings.
"No, not at all....." He paused for a moment, "Unless you want it to be...."
The girl blushed again, shocked that he'd even think that, "No, I don't.... Do you?"
"No, not at all," He smiled at her, "You want to play again?" He gestured to the game in front of them.
"Sure!"

Etoile listened to the various reactions and beamed, feeling rather excited about the event. With so many operatives, it was no doubt going to be a good evening - good enough that even one such as Tala might end up enjoying herself.
That is, if she would stop complaining for even a second.
But the dance dropped another thought into his head. "Has anyone seen Nalo?"
After struggling for a few seconds to rid herself of the telekinetic band that Etoile had wrapped around her mouth, she finally used her own power to cut through his, taking in a deep breath of air. And then she was all grins, her voice becoming taunting. "Why do you want to know where Naaaloooo is, huh?"
Her goal of making him blush was realized and the boy kicked her slightly. "Tala, go make another sculpture."
"No," she said, letting him assume it was because she wanted to spend her time doing something more logical. ". . . We're out of mustard."

As a matter of fact, Nalo was still in bed. Or, if things were the way she liked them, she would still be in bed. She had woken up earlier in the day, and decided she didn't want to get up, and that was that. But Cyril had come galavanting past her room in an extraordinarily loud fashion, and she couldn't get herself to fall asleep again after that.
So, grudgingly and still half asleep, she had dressed and departed and was now floating absentmindedly into the Main Room, still visibly not quite conscious at all. She hadn't even noticed that half of the collar of her blue shirt was sticking up the wrong way, and she'd left a button undone. She shot a half hearted glare at the bird boy, who was on the other side of the room and squawking something about a dance.
"A dance!! This is going to be so cool! Vibe will you dance at the dance with me?!" he asked his friend, who was flopped over the back of a couch like a discarded jacket, watching Milo-Lee and Finnick playing their video games.
"Well if Unagi goes he'll probably want to dance with me... and Dengeki might want to as well... and I think that kid in Sector ZIP still has the hots for me..."
"Pleeeeeeease?!"
She sighed. "Fine, I will pencil you into my very busy schedule."
"Yaaaay!"
(Wooo, rubbish starter post! I needed to get them into this already)

At the sight of his favorite grey-skinned girl (not that he knew many others, but putting 'favorite' there in his mind made it more awesome), the boy leaped out of his seat, startling his sister into toppling over onto the floor. She wasn't surprised, though, and didn't even mind that he didn't notice as he bounded across the room in his overexcited way.
"GOOD MORNING, NALO!" The eager cry came with a hug that was actually more of a tackle, and the boy wrapped his arms around her tired form. He could guess that he wouldn't get a very enthusiastic response, but that was alright. Resting his head on her shoulder, he beamed upward, his tail swinging back and forth like a pendulum.
"Go to the dance with me?" he asked with the sweetest smile he could muster, his baby-blues dancing in their sockets.

Rather startled by the sudden attack, Nalo just stared at Etoile when he made his request, it not really registering in her mind. Dance? What was all this hubbub about a dance? She continued to just stare at him strangely, although her arms had found their way around his figure as well.
All of a sudden, Cyril zoomed in out of nowhere, landing on Etoile's head.
"Go to the dance with meee!"
From across the room, Vibe yelled "You're going with me, you nitwit!"
"But you said you'd be busy!"
Completely and utterly perplexed, eventually Nalo just caught Etoile's eye again and nodded tentatively. She couldn't resist that face.

Ynda looked up from her book once more when she noticed how a few aliens were asking other aliens to go with them to the dance. She bit her lip, scolding herself in thought for being hopeful she would be asked as well. When she realized how girly she was behaving, she shook her head and grumpily crossed her arms, looking down.
What do I care? It's just a dance, it's nothing important. Besides, it's not like anyone would ask me.

Upon catching her perplexed expression, Etoile remembered that she hadn't exactly been in the room to hear the announcement of the dance. Duh. So he hurriedly went to explain when suddenly a golden ball of feathers attacked him.
The exchange with Vibe made him laugh, and Etoile just nestled deeper against Nalo's form, letting Vibe handle the issue with Cyril. "There's a dance in five days! I'm going and probably will drag Tala along, too, unless she has a drastic mood swing by then and decides to go of her own free will. But the point is, there's a dance." She had already nodded, which made him happy, and he just beamed all the wider as though determined to let every single one of his yellow-tinted teeth show. "YAY! It's going to be so fun!"
"Will NOT." From across the room, Tala grimaced at him, although she was enjoying the scene of Etoile's enthusiasm and Nalo's confusion like any good little sister. "But Nalo will look pretty in a dress, for sure."

A light blush appeared on Nalo's cheeks at Tala's compliment, and she hid her face in Etoile's shoulder shyly to hide it. It was too early for all this ruckus, and she would rather like to go back to sleep. Suddenly noticed her c0ckeyed collar, she weakly batted at it with a hand, not really fixing it much. What did she care what she looked like?
Cyril had finally gotten off of Etoile's head and gone to bother Vibe again, although by the looks of it Vibe had wanted to stay in bed this morning too.
"No no no, you're doing it all wrong..." she muttered, swatting Milo-Lee's arm and gesturing to the screen. "You wanna build up power for a bit and then attack."
