Glancing aside, the small blue teen was in time to see the Telarian girl smile and wink down at him. Apparently she'd overheard the conversation and it had amused her. The gesture made Nebulos smile brightly in return and he let his antennae flicker a few times as a symbol of his contentment. He was happy he had been able to make someone smile, it was a nice feeling. He turned back to the other girl in front of him, who seemed to be smiling as well. And sure enough, before Nebulos could do anything there was a green alien hanging onto him.
Spontaneously, the Luminarian burst out into laughter when he felt the hand on his head. "H-Hey!" he cried in between chuckles, his antennae bright and shiny. He tried to maneuver a way out of her hold, but he failed to do so as his laughter enabled him to move. "C-come on, I j-just had it combed too!" His shoulders still shook in amusement when Ynda had let go of his head and was hanging from his back. A fist was used to wipe away a happy runaway tear from his cheek. Nebulos was smiling still when he was released and turned around to face her, only to be quite startled when Cyril suddenly appeared on the scene, wearing a suit as colourful as Niji's hair. Chuckling again, the blue boy took a step away from the couple. Cyril was not here as his date after all. Nebulos chanced another glance at the door. Practically everyone had already arrived, except for the person he was looking most forward to seeing.
And sure enough there she appeared.
Literally and figuratively, his entire face lit up when he caught sight of Lunira entering the doors. A gentle, pleasant blush rose to meet his cheeks. She seemed to radiate as he watched her come over. He was so focused on the black and white girl he didn't even notice Zoelin had entered the room as well. Nebulos was rather convinced he looked like a total goof as he stood here, smiling wildly. But he didn't care.
"Luni!" he called out, seeming to realize he had the ability to move as well and that he could go over to meet her too. With an enthusiastic bounce in his step he jogged over at her, coming to a bit of a clumsy stop once he got near her. The purple shade on his cheeks had not vanquished, but increased instead when he stood in front of her, venturing a glance up and down her dress, one he had not yet had the occasion to see before.
"Wow, you look lovely. . ." he said shyly, after a minute, while his hands disappeared behind his back again. He stood there for a minute, glancing away and then back, and then away again, while fidgeting nervously. "I, uhh..." he said after a moment, one hand digging in his pocket while the other remained securely behind his back. "I got you... got you something... Something--This." he blurted out apprehensively. Feeling much like a loon, the blushing boy withdrew something from the pocket of his trousers and held it out to her with a slightly shaking hand. On his hand lay a thin, silver bracelet. It was round and simple, but near the top of the jewel were two small flowers attached, one green and the other violet. It seemed to be made of some kind of metal, which had a gentle shine to it.
The boy's blush increased dramatically as he stood there, holding it out to her. Now he was presenting it to her, he wondered if this was overdoing it. Sure enough, he simply could've handed her a flower like the twins had done and as he stood here, he was racking his brain why he hadn't done that. Nebulos sincerely hoped she was't thinking the same thing. ". . . I made it myself..." he added gingerly, the light on his antennae increasing at his embarrassment.
Casting his intent gaze aside, Masurao saw Milo-Lee hover over to their group. He remained mute as she spoke, but brought another fist to his chest as he was given the compliment, symbolizing he appreciated the kind words, but kept quiet all the same. Well, that was hardly a surprise anyway.

Another laugh bubbled out of Etoile when Nalo swatted him good-naturedly, and he merely tightened his arm around her waist so that he could lead her over to the larger group that was accumulating. He looked flushed, happy, proud of the girl that was on his arm. "Hey everyone!" he greeted, since the group had grown after his departure. "You all look fantastic."
"NALO!" The exuberant cry came from his little sister, who had clasped her hands together. "You look so pretty! I can't even fathom it! EVERYONE looks really awesome! It's like a party! A pretty party! Why am I here, ruining it!?"
"You can't leave," Etoile reasoned, shrugging at her, "because we have to have someone who can own the dancefloor to make up for those of us who can't."
Orange eyes glanced over at him suspiciously, and then the girl shrugged nonchalantly, as though dismissing his words without really denying them. "I suppose." In her head, she was secretly coming up with excuses to leaving without offending Dengeki.
Maybe she would trip and break a foot. Or two.

Lunira looked a little over her shoulder, wondering if her friend was going to follow her, asking the same question again. She didn't, thankfully, which made the teen breath a sigh of relief. "Well, now that that's taken care of--"
"Luni!"
Ears perked upward, hearing a familiar voice call out her name. Although most people called her that, she could sense a nice distinction in the tone that she was all too familiar with, which made her smile. Lunira whipped her head around, trying to see if she could find some sign of her date, and when she turned fully around, there he was.
Standing over there, with what looked like a huge grin on his face, was her date. Nebulos.
As quickly as he had called her name, he instantly came towards her, though he sort of stumbled along the way. Lunira couldn't help but giggle when he managed to gather himself all together as he reached her. Up close, she could see almost every little detail of his outfit. It had really suit him. It made he look very dashing, yet just as normal and very 'Nebulos' for him.
She hadn't noticed that he was observing her dress too, until he had spoken again, although more softly. "Wow, you look lovely. . ."
Folding her hands in front of her, Lunira looked down towards her feet in a somewhat of a shy manner herself. "Really? You think so?" Looking back up, she smiled at him and pointed at his outfit. "Your suit looks very lovely too...or, handsome, rather."
Then, she remembered that she had to apologize. "Sorry I was late, I..." she trailed off, noticing that he was fidgeting a little, as if he had something he wanted to say....or do.
"Nebby?"
"I, uhh..." he said after a moment, one hand digging in his pocket while the other remained securely behind his back. "I got you... got you something... Something--This." he blurted out apprehensively. When he had pulled out the object, Lunira's eyes went wide. On his hand lay a thin, silver bracelet. It was round and simple, but near the top of the jewel were two small flowers attached, one green and the other violet. It seemed to be made of some kind of metal, which had a gentle shine to it.
It looked too pretty for words, which Lunira had displayed when she instantly drew two paws up to her mouth. Only a small whisper escaped her lips, and her paws. "Oh, Nebulos...."
". . . I made it myself..." he added. looking as equally shy now. Lunira looked back up towards his face, noticing the dark violet hues already intensifying on his cheeks. She lowered her paws, still smiling as she looked from his hand to his face. She really didn't know what to say, she was speechless. She felt a little bad since she hadn't gotten him anything.
Then, an idea appeared in her head. Without saying anything, she jumped forward, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug. "Thank you," she whispered. =================================
"Man...if I knew everyone else was wearing shoes, I wouldn't have--oh." Zoelin noticed some of the other aliens, shoeless as well. Silvery gray teeth appeared in a grin as she nodded. "YES! The footies are abound!"
Then, realizing that no one had probably heard her, she slowly walked away sideways from where she was standing previously.
Although she was used to living in a place where the sun always shined, she wasn't used to the lighting of the base. Even with one eye covered, the other was silently having a heart attack seeing all of the colors and streamers. It was more vivid and nice, but it was the same way with the blond tresses over the light lavendar orbs. Zoelin wondered how much of a shock it would come to some of the other aliens....
"Hmm...who to walk upon with some chatter, let's see." She looked over the group of friends slash couples. Some, still engaged in conversation, others, just arriving.
"Eenie, meenie, minie....FINNICK!" She pointed towards the shorter blue bat-like boy and walked on over. When she had gotten closer, however, everything she was about to say was erased from her mind.
". . . .Shiny?" One visible lavender eye grew wide at the sight of the boy's tux.

Dengeki glanced at Tala and feigned a hurt expression. With a melodramatic tone, he accused her of the thing she wanted to do the most. “You’re not gonna leave me, are you? I thought we had a plan. A fun plan. A mischievous plan! You haven’t forgotten have you?” Even he was appeased by the thought of ‘helping’ couples get together with Tala's assistance.
He then turned his attention to Etoile and Nalo, greeting the couple warmly. He took one of Nalo’s grey tendrils in his hand and kissed it softly as a gentlemanly gesture. “Ah, Nalo! You look beautiful as usual. And Etoile, um….You look…Uh….Well let’s just say that you’re making Nalo look even better.” The statement was accompanied by a joking smile. “Naw, I’m kidding. You look pretty awesome, too. I’m likin’ the suit.” With that, he touched his own hat, wondering if he had dressed too casual.
Unagi smiled at Etoile as well. “Yes, the green tie was a good choice as to match with your date, who does indeed look quite dashing.” He made the same gesture that his brother had made moments before with a polite smile, taking Nalo’s other tendril in his hand and bringing his lips to it. His gaze turned to his brother’s date, a grin tugging at his lips. “You know, I was wondering if you would actually come. I half expected Dengeki to split as soon as he got here. Your hair looks lovely when you leave it down.” He held out his hand for Tala to take so that he could kiss it as well.
Dengeki uttered a quiet chuckle and he addressed the group. “Don’t mind Unagi’s fancy shmancy words. He’s just trying to impress the missus.” His eyes shifted to Vibe as he let out another short laugh. “And I don’t think it’s working.”

"Of course I haven't forgotten!" The Telarian girl looked almost offended that Dengeki would even consider such an idea. Tala forgetting a mischievous plan? Preposterous. Heaving a sigh, she shook her head and resigned herself to the fact that, despite her illogical dislike of dances, she was going to have to stay. "No, no, I'm not gonna leave you. We gotta make this fun, right?" A grin danced around the corners of her mouth.
With a light laugh, Etoile was shaking his head. "Thanks," he drawled dryly to Dengeki, before directing a nod at Unagi and adding, "Both of you." His nerves itched a bit as various people directed kisses at his little sister's hand, but the reminder that it was purely etiquette was enough reason for him to keep from showing it.
And oddly, she looked almost as uncomfortable by the flattery as her brother was, smiling shyly at Unagi. "Er, thanks. Enjoy it while you can, because the minute the music stops and the night is over, I'm tying it up again." She ignored the comment that questioned the probability of her showing up that night, a little disgruntled that they knew her that well. "Do you guys know if it's starting soon?" she asked the group in general. The sooner it started, the sooner the mischief could begin.

Cyril flapped back from Ynda a little, settling loftily onto his feet, shifting his weight back and forth a little before he found a comfortable standing position. Then, he folded on wing behind his back in a typical gentlemanly pose before sweeping in a low bow. "I am honoured to be graced by your presence," was the sentence spoken as he straightened up; by the looks of it he had been taking lessons on how to treat girls from the twins.
Unable to return the compliments at the moments they were coming, Nalo merely flashed an appreciative smile at Tala, and a bashful one at the twins, the attention unexpected. Once their attention was diverted again, she drifted a little closer to her date, her hand returning to his shoulder and the side of her body just close enough to brush against his.
As assumed, Vibe was watching with an unamused expression. "Hey, Casanova,-- no, not you," she interjected when Dengeki turned around instead of his brother, and pointed at the other twin, "You, hurry up with your flirting and come back over here," was her request, more like a demand really, one hand placed on her hip.

While she watched him flap back, Ynda prepared to turn away, as she assumed Cyril would zoom over to another alien to greet them in a similar way. However, she froze when he saw the pose he had taken, and her eyes widened in disbelief at the words he spoke to her. Was that honestly Cyril, that silly bird...?
Ynda averted her head when she felt it glow even warmer. She really wished that apparently-not-so-silly bird wouldn't make her feel so bashful, as that was one of the few positions in which she had no idea how to respond. Now she found he was not only cute, but even had a charm of his own. She wasn't used to being in this situation at all, especially not with him. Before she knew it, she was fumbling with her paws, unable to suppress a stutter.
"Y-y-you are, huh...?" she muttered quietly, still not looking at him.

Watching her response, the composed attitude was quickly fading again. "I aaam!" He bounded over to hug her again. "B'aww, Ynda you're so cute, why aren't you always this cuuuute?" He softly poked one of her cheeks with a feathery finger and giggled quietly, his blue eyes full of that everlasting energy which had dulled slightly as he commented on her adorable-ness.

By the time he was hugging her again, having returned to his usual silly self, Ynda felt too shy to regain eye contact with Cyril. She knew how timid she had become, and told herself to get a grip in thought. But the order remained a mere thought when her date called her cute, followed by a soft poke. She didn't think she could blush any deeper at this point.
When it came to protest, as far as she could come was a quiet remark that sounded like Ynda wasn't even convinced of her own words: "I-I'm not... that cute..."

Quiet seconds passed, but to Nebulos they might as well could have been years. He stood there, feeling very apprehensive as he held the self-crafted item out to her. As the silence lingered on, the blush on his cheeks started to grow darker. Maybe she was thinking exactly what he had been thinking. Obviously, he had completely overdone it. "S-sorry if... I-I mean, I know I just could've got you a... a flower or s-something..." the boy stammered nervously, the light on his antennae increasing with every word he uttered. "W-well I guess this... this is kind of a f-flower, o-only it's not really a plant and..." Nebulos swallowed nervously, feeling more like a dork by the second. "I-I know you like p-plants and everything, s-so I thought you might like--"
The sentence was never finished, as at that very moment, the panda-like girl in front of him suddenly lunged at him, almost tackling him to the floor as she wrapped her arms around him. Startled, Nebulos almost dropped the bracelet and flushed immensely. He could feel the heat radiate off his purple face, as if he had some kind of fever. "Thank you..." he heard softly. The small teen blinked a few times, as if his brain needed a few more seconds to register the words. The blush on his cheeks grew darker yet again and Nebulos thought he possibly looked very silly, but he didn't really care. She said 'thank you'. She liked the present. Simply beaming, the Luminarian's eyes twinkled joyfully. He actually found the courage to wrap all four of his own arms around her petite figure. "I... Y-you're welcome..." he said, looking quite flustered still, but happy all the same. "I'm glad you... I wanted to give something special..." he said, his voice dropping to a faint whisper as he added the latter.
Pulling back from the fuzzy girl, he smiled gently at her, the blush still colouring his cheeks a soft purple. In a bold move, the blue teen took one of the girl's in his and gingerly applied the bracelet to it. The gesture made him turn ever purpler, but it made him quite happy nonetheless. She liked it. Once the item had been attach to her wrist, Nebulos did not let go of her hand. He ventured a glance up at her, while the other three arms disappeared behind his back again. ". . . Want to get something to drink?" he inquired gently, one foot softly kicking shyly at some invisible dust on the floor.
"Perhaps that is not such a bad idea." Masurao added, monotone, managing to overhear Nebulos last words as he said them out loud. Their group near the entrance was growing steadily and the other guests who entered tended to throw curious glances at them when they passed Sector SUN and it unnerved the guard slightly. He was still feeling strangely edgy and felt like he could use some kind of distraction. It was odd. Perhaps visiting the snack table wouldn't be a bad idea. The food's scents had been lingering in the large hall for quite a while and they hadn't gone past the guard unnoticed. And it was too, he had concluded, a strategic spot to overview pretty much every corner of the room, so he was certain the human near Niji's side could not do anything without him seeing it.

"FINNICK!"
The Sonlaetian boy turned his head at the sound of his name being called from across the room. He spotted a familiar girl standing a few feet away, but something was different, something he couldn't place. "Hello, Zoelin!" He said brightly as she approached, then he noticed what was off. Her blond hair had been moved out from half of her face. He stared at the light colored circle for a moment, "Hey, your ey-" The hand that had been lifted to his cheek, about to gesture to his own eye, dropped back to his side when he saw her expression change. For a moment, there was silence, then spoke.
". . . .Shiny?"
He was confused for a moment, then realized that she was staring at his tux. Quickly glancing between the girl and his tux, he lifted off the floor and tried not to panic. Of course, the movement of his arms just made to sparkling brighter. "Oh, no," He muttered to himself, ready to try and get out of her way if she started for him. ________________________
Listening to Nebulos and Masurao, Milo-Lee nodded a bit, "Hey, Fin," She started, turning to where her friend was standing. "You wann-" She stopped short when she saw the look of alarm spread across his face. Flew a little closer and noticed Zoelin staring at him. "Oh, great," She sighed, but decided to wait and see what happened before jumping in to help him.

As his date moved closer to him, Etoile's arm snaked around her waist and pulled her closer while he flashed her a warm smile full of his usual amount of sunshine. The very tips of his fingers had begun to glow with the faintest amount of light, suggesting his enthusiasm, but that light quickly transferred to the strips on his suit, giving them the faintest glow that only those paying extremely close attention would even notice it.
Suddenly, from inside the room, music started to play. A crooning melody wafted its way out the door, beckoning operatives in with wispy fingers. Inside the room, the talking had died down and activity had risen as various couples entered and made their way to the center. The dance had officially started.
"Shall we go?" Blue eyes had turned to Nalo curiously, offering her the chance to either enter the ballroom or to stay out and continue to chat with those outside, although they would no doubt be making their way into the ballroom soon enough to join in the dancing.
The younger Telarian glanced inside and smirked at the sight of all the couples, which meant perfect bait. Swooping a gaze back at Dengeki, her worried expression had vanished, hidden behind a secret excitement for such endeavors as the ones they had planned. "Are you ready?!"
Of course, it couldn't be all pranking, and she would have to dance. But that was a small price to pay for some fun.

The smile on her face grew even more wider as she felt his arms wrap around her, making her hug him tighter in return. When they pulled away, the smile never left her face. Lunira watched him clasp the bracelt on her wrist, and her eyes never left it.
He's holding my hand....again!.... She squealed inside. She almost didn't hear his question due to the inward squees of glee, but Lunira lifted her head in time.
". . . Want to get something to drink?" he inquired gently, one foot softly kicking shyly at some invisible dust on the floor.
She nodded, giggling a little seeing Nebulos' shyness somewhat fade a little. It was cute though, she had to admit. "Sure, let's go." Keeping a hold onto his hand, Lunira started forward, only to stop after a few steps.
"Um....where would they be, exactly?" She asked with a small chuckle. ----------------------------------------------------------------
Zoelin blinked once..twice...and three times.
She stared at the purple-and-blue boy's outfit for a few minutes, almost five. There was a huge part of her that wanted to instantly flip out and go all crazy over Finnick's suit, claw at the little star patterns and drool over the designs. Her mind kept telling her to go at it, just let loose and dash at him.
Then, there was a small part of her telling her not to.
It was a dance after all, and if she gave into that side, well...things wouldn't be so nice anymore. Although she had grown out of the habit of running after every little shiny thing when she was younger, Zoelin still had trouble of holding it in. A good example was about a week ago....
However, the Whiskite managed to take a deep breath.
Easy, Zo....easy.
She continued walking over, now having to lift her head to make eye-contact with Finnick. "Hey there...Nice suit, it's really stunning." Then, tilting her head to the side, she folded her arms. "What'cha doing up there for? I'm not going to tackle you."

"On the east side of the hall." Masurao answered for a second time that evening, overhearing Lunira's inquiry. Nebulos, slightly startled, looked up to meet the bodyguard's gaze. He sincerely hoped Masurao wasn't going to be following them around all night. He couldn't think of any reason why he should do that anyway, since his main interest usually lingered in princess Niji. But it was rather unnerving to have the stoic boy pick up parts of their conversation. Slightly nervous, Nebulos glanced over to the direction Masurao had pointed out and sure enough, there was a ginormous snack table positioned against the eastern wall of the room and a separate table which offered a kajillion different kinds of drinks. Seeing the large variety of refreshments, the blue boy brightened visibly.
"Oh yeah, there it is!" he exclaimed joyfully, using a free hand to point over the the tables where a lot of different aliens were already gathering. His eyes glinted happily. "Thanks, Masurao. Let's go, Luni!" Uttering a full-hearted chuckle, he started to make his way over to the food and drinks, each step he took a happy bounce in it. As he walked, he turned his head and waved at the others. "Those thirsty, follow us!" The blue teen chuckled yet again, his antennae flickering gently as he did, before he continued his way.
Twitching his mane and nose slightly, the guarded boy watched after the two little ones as they headed off. The scents of the many alien foods were still tickling his nose and he couldn't admit they were rather appealing. "I shall be there if you need me." he said, turning back to his princess and swooping down in yet another bow. He threw Numbuh Infinity another meaningful look and then, in a rather elegant fashion, he turned on his heel and walked after the two Squirts; his tail curling out behind him. Even though he was a bodyguard, even he was fair enough to understand Niji would be rather unnerved if he kept popping over her shoulder every five seconds. He'd allow the princess to have some time to herself, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to keep his eye off them. Masurao'd make sure Numbuh Infinity wouldn't be able to try anything funny. And as it so happened, the snack table was the ideal place to overlook the entire area. It was a win-win situation.

"On the east side of the hall."
Lunira jumped a little at the sudden sound of his voice, making her look up to see the tall bodyguard next to them. Even as teens, when they've all grown on the base together, she still felt a little intimidated by him. Maybe it was because he was so tall...or something else. She nodded a little, lowering her gaze to where she was looking foreward, in the direction that Masurao had pointed.
"Oh!" Over near the table, most of the aliens and their dates had already started on getting a fe items to eat, probably to keep the conversation going or maybe to prepare for dancing.
"Oh yeah, there it is!" She heard Nebulos say, his voice sounding less shy than before. "Thanks, Masurao. Let's go, Luni!"
Lunira nodded, and quickened her pace to match his own as they made their way towards the table. Once they were there, she looked from one end of the table towards the other. "Wow, there's so many things to eat..." It seemed like the people who had planned this dance had made sure there were at least 1 item of food from each planet, along with a few things that the cooks came up with.
"Hmmm...what do you suggest?" She asked, turning towards the Luminarian boy.
------------------------------------------
Zoelin shifted a little on her feet, wondering if maybe she startled him too much. After a few seconds of just standing there, she coughed into her fist slightly while muttering a light "awkard..."
Lucky for her that the lights were a little dim, her one visible eye probably would freak out from the usual lighting that was on the base. When that appeared in her mind, she made a mental note to herself to at least find some sunglasses if she were to make her eyes exposed to the world.
Then again, they probably wouldn't be affected as much, since her homeplanet was usually bright anyway.
Zoelin blinked, now realizing she was loosing her train of thought. "Um....I'll just..yeah." She walked away, wondering if anyone else was up to talk.
