"Shall we go?" Nalo heard from beside her, and glancing up into the deep seas of the boy's eyes, she gave a small nod, still smiling a small, warm smile. Her body remained close to his as she glanced at the others, before starting to move towards the room.
The sound of music had not escaped a certain bird's ears either.
"Oooh, Ynda, it's starting, it's starting!" he squawked, the gentlemany composure from before having dissipated completely. He took her paw in his wings and began to tug her gently towards the room. "Let's go! Let's goo!"
"Oi, fishface-- no, not you," Vibe interrupted herself to reject Dengeki's response to her words again, before glancing at Unagi. "It's starting, come on."

After being called the second time, Unagi turned back to his girlfriend, a small smile forming on his face. He walked back to her, swooping her up into a spinning hug, speaking sincerely. “Don’t worry; you are the most beautiful girl in the room- no, in the whole base.” With that, he put her back down, kissing her softly on the lips and then allowing his lips to go down and graze her neck. “And I only have eyes for you,” This time, his voice came out only loud enough for her to hear.
Dengeki, shortly after realizing that Vibe wasn’t calling him, turned to his date. “Yeah, I’m ready.” He resumed his position with his arm over her shoulder, holding her close as they walked into the ballroom. “So who’s our first target? Or do you want to dance first?” His blue eyes scanned the room, taking in the music and decorations. “You know I must say the committee did a pretty good job of putting this together.”, he muttered, mostly to himself.

(XP Sorry about that Paula)
Finnick, while relived that Zoelin hadn't tackled him or anything, he had become distracted by a dress of a girl walking by that seemed to be made of pure white sunlight. He panicked a little, forgetting about the girl in front of him, and closed his eyes trying desperately not to spaz. He breathed heavily though his mouth, thinking rapidly, Not here, not tonight, oh no, oh no, oh no...
The feline girl noticed her friends state of panic and flew over, grabbing his wrist and tugging him toward to door. "Hey, c'mon, it's starting!" His eyes open, the panic melting as they enter the hall, which, thankfully, had the light dimmed a bit, and seemed to allow Finnick to pull himself together.
"Ehh... So..." The girl looked down for a moment, scuffling her shoe on the ground in thought and embarrassment, "Do you... wanna dance.... or..." She stopped, unsure of what to say.

The room looked like a fairy had sprinkled dust over the corners, with dim glittering specks and low, swinging lights. Etoile felt a sense of pride as he escorted Nalo into the room, sweeping a gaze over the decorations with a sense of thrill. And Nalo certainly added to the decor, which only made his spirits lift a little higher.
Around the room were faces that he recognized, from his friends in other sectors to the own entering friends that he knew well and loved. He could see Nebulos and Lunira, with intentions focused on the snacktable, Milo-Lee and Finnick, Masurao, all of them with their various activities.
"Would you like to dance?" Etoile murmured into Nalo's ear, flashing a smile in her direction while making sure that he could be heard under the low music.
Taking a moment to deliberate, the younger Telarian grinned up at Dengeki with a smile that probably meant trouble. Or, it did to anyone who knew anything about Tala.
"Yeah, they really did a fantastic job with the room. Why don't we dance first? We should enjoy it at least a little before we wreak havoc and muck up all the pretty decorations."
Although it didn't usually seem it, Tala Ganmade could be logical. If logical also meant diabolical.

Ynda, still not having managed to get her act together, exhaled a small sound in surprise when Cyril pulled her towards the room. She didn't respond in words and simply looked at the paw he was holding, blushing like before.
She still felt rather nervous about attending this dance, but at the same time, she felt she might have fun thanks to the silly bird she had for her date. That is, if she managed to get her usual attitude back. She wouldn't want to feel bashful by him all the time.

(lol, it's fine Jas....Hmm, I'm not sure as to what make Zoelin do..she's just kind of standing there). EDIT: Thought of something. ---------------------------------------------------------------- As she noticed some of the others already heading on in, Zoelin lingered out in the corridor for a little bit. Aside from the slight twitch she gained from seeing Finnick's shiny-starry suit, the whole thing was going great so far.. She watched some of her friends heading towards the snacktable, probably getting some things to munch on before dancing, and there were a few others getting ready to go on ahead into the dance floor. Her ears twitched slightly, hearing the faint beat of a song playing from in the ballroom. "Looks like the shindig's already on it's way." The scarlet-furred girl smiled to herself. Shifting a bit on her feat, she comtemplated on whether or not she should've brought a date or not...but then again, she didn't really need to, as far as she knew. Then a random alien walked by her, it's dress really, really bright. For the first time in her life, Zoelin cringed a little, as she closed both eyes. "Too bright...too many sparkles." However, as she tried to walk away from the glowing gown, she didn't pay attention to where she was going and had walked right into the dance room... "Oof!" And into a huge dancing-mosh-pit.

Nalo's only response was a smile, turning to face him and slide her arms around his shoulders, leaning her forehead against his. She did nod a few moments later to confirm, gazing into his blue hues and hoping he wasn't asking in the hopes that she wouldn't want to.
Cyril just tugged on Ynda's paw more forcefully. "Do you want to get there before daybreak?" he laughed, giving her one final tug to pull her from her feet and into his wings, wrapped loosely but safely around her. "If you don't wanna go in, just say," he told her in a lower, calmer voice, although he perhaps too hastily added "And then we can just dance in the corridor!"

I'm back guys! ^^ *glomps* ------------------------------------------
Niji sat down at a table with a cup of fruit punch in her hand. Her date had excused himself to go on a bathroom break, so she had nothing better to do than to sit down. She could use a break herself, with all the dancing taking place, it left the colorful girl out of breath. She was also happy that Masurao appeared to be bending the six feet rule, at least for tonight anyway. Her gaze shifted to her stoic bodyguard who was standing near the snack table and giggled a bit, though in the back of her mind she also wondered if he was having fun? In the years that she had known Masurao, Niji had always tried to brighten Masurao's day, whether it be teaching him how to play a new video game, or making a mess of the kitchen and each other when they tried to bake something new, going flying or any other activity, all she wanted to do was to show him a good time. Her eyes brightened when an idea came to her, and she floated toward the navy haired boy, and held her hand out to him.
"Come on, I think I should get at least one dance with my friend?" She asked with a raise of her eyebrow and a smile.

His move came completely unexpected. Ynda exhaled a shriek in shock when she was suddenly pulled into Cyril's wings, for a moment freezing at the spot. She hardly dared to look up at him when he spoke, but did so anyway, assuming he wanted an answer from her. She wasn't used to Cyril behaving this way at all, hence his gentleman-y attitude making her cheeks flush like they only did a moment ago. She cursed him for making her hearts beat all three like a sledgehammer.
Making no attempts to escape his feathery embrace, Ynda merely glanced away awkwardly, unable to suppress a stutter. "N-no... we can dance in there..." She sure hoped that, despite his non-silly behavior, he was still too naïve to realize he was the one to make her so timid.

"Hmmm...what do you suggest?" the girl at his side inquired, turning to face him. Nebulos brought a hand to his chin as he considered the many foods in front of them. The distraction of food seemed to have provided a dramatic lessening in his nerves, which he certainly didn't mind. "Good question..." the blue teen replied, letting his pale eyes wandered across the many treats. The table was set as thus that it was almost impossible to choose. The sight was rather overwhelming, especially to aliens their size, since there were foods as large as they were.
"Uhh, a little bit of everything?" Nebulos chuckled unsurely, turning to look at Lunira, the smile on his face indicating he was as lost as she was on the matter. He glanced to the back for a second, taking in the dance floor. He saw many of his teammates walk over when the music started to play and cast a fleeting look at Lunira. A new, faint blush rose to meet his cheeks. Perhaps he had needed to ask her to dance first, before they had headed over to the snack table. He certainly hoped she didn't mind, scratching his white hair. She didn't appear to be upset or anything, luckily. There was always time to dance later, he figured, when he was feeling bold enough to ask.
"How about we each take a plate and stack whatever we can and then share?" he suggested, tilting his head in a rather sweet fashion. One eye squinted to support his growing smile. "And we can always come back for seconds!" he exclaimed, throwing two arms in the air. A shade suddenly loomed next to them, which startled Nebulos. Surprised, he quickly turned his head around, there finding Masurao, who was taking in the food in front of them. Didn't this guy ever make any noise? Relieved it wasn't anything threatening, but slightly unnerved all the same, the Luminarian boy lifted a hand and waved it at the guard. The guard himself caught the gesture from the corner of his eye and nodded to acknowledge it. He then took a few paces to the side, leaving the two Squirts in peace.
Masurao glanced over his shoulder, his trained eye seeking out the princess first. He easily found her, her dazzling rainbow hair standing out like a beacon. She seemed to be involved in deep conversation with Numbuh Infinity, who Masurao narrowed his eyes at momentarily. So far, the human wasn't doing anything improper, though the guard would've probably made a remark about a six feet distance if the occasion had been less festive. It was alright for now, but he made sure to keep a keen eye on the shaded boy. With one, swift, calculated move, Masurao lashed out a hand and swiped a roll off the snack table. He seemed to do everything stealthy, even acquiring his food. But then again, he was Masurao. He was all about stealth.
Quickly, yet surprisingly proper, the wolfboy brought the roll to his mouth and bit off a chunk, chewing modestly on it, while he let his green eyes wander across the area once again observing it. The place looked extraordinarily sparkly and was decorated rather ornately, but not un-nice. He found Cyril tugging on Ynda near the entrance, and Unagi and Vibe were also there. Etoile and Nalo had already taken to the dance floor and seemed to be having a moment, which made Masurao quickly avert his eyes as if to give the couple their private time, even though he was several feet away from them. And it was so that he found Dengeki, who had his arm draped across Tala's shoulders.
It was odd, really. Masurao could feel a frown making his face squint. It happened rather spontaneously, in a way it almost startled him and he quickly unfolded his face, resuming his regular, stoic expression, though he still wondered why he had been frowning in the first place. He uttered a small huff, trying to distract himself from his thoughts by putting the remains of the alien roll in his mouth and averting his eyes to an elaborate decorated lamp on the ceiling. He chewed the food slowly an considerately, seeming determined to examine every inch of the dainty lamp. Yet, he couldn't help glancing back at the filling dance floor and the couples on top of it. Masurao had actually always liked the aquatic twins, even though their personalities were as different from his as could be, but now a thought crossed his mind of introducing Dengeki to the "six-feet distance rule".
Uttering an annoyed grunt, more to himself for having that strange idea, rather than to anyone else, the wolf turned around and swiped another roll of the table, stuffing it in his mouth a tad more violent than before. And then, suddenly, there were a lot of colours.
"Come on, I think I should get at least one dance with my friend?"
Princess Niji beamed up at him. Almost comically, the guard blinked down at her, one cheek still puffed with food. Chewing hurriedly, Masurao glanced across his shoulder, as if he were wondering if she was addressing him and not anyone else. Swallowing the food, the wolfboy was quick to look as unreadable as ever, though he did cast another quick look around him, registering Numbuh Infinity was not around. His intent green eyes traveled back to the rainbow girl, one hand rising to rest against his chest in his trademark fashion.
"Though honoured as I am, Princess," he began, inclining his head, "I am afraid my dancing abilities don't match our skill and grace." A faint blush tinted his cheeks beneath his thick fur as he stated this. It wasn't a lie. Though trained in combat and stealth, the guard had never been accustomed to matters as waltzing or anything.

Uh-oh! I think Masi is a little bit Jealous! XD -------------------------------- Niji had to press her hand against her mouth to stifle her giggles. She didn't mean to startle Masurao, and the sight of him rapidly chewing his food was kind of funny.
"Though honoured as I am, Princess." He began, resting his head in his hand. "I am afraid my dancing abilities don't match our skill and grace."
Niji's smile instantly faded away. "Oh...I see." She looked down feeling slightly rejected. So he didn't know how to dance? "Well then, I think it's time you learned." She knew he wouldn't like this idea, and he already shot her down once, but it didn't hurt to try again, only in a more different approach. "Think of it like a lesson. You'll need to know this if you want to ask a girl to dance, you do not want to step on her toes. Especially if she's wearing new shoes. That's very important." She said an teacher-like voice. And with that, she took her bodyguard by the arm and lifted him up from his seat pulling him to the dance floor in the process. "Now, this song is a slow one so..." She stood directly in front of him and put her arms around his neck. She waited for a few moments for Masurao to respond, but remembered that he had implied that did not know what to do. "You have to put your arms around my waist..." She took his hand, and demonstrated. "Like this. See?"

*giggles* I think you're right.. -------------------------------------------------
As it turned out, he hadn't a clue as to which one to snack on either. She didn't mind though, since he gave a thought to it and came up with a plan for it.
"Uhh, a little bit of everything?" As he was scratching his head, she turned to look at the table again. He was right, there was a lot of things there and well...she guessed they could try a little of everything. An image of the both of them trying to hold one plate with all of the foods on it made her giggle, since the end result was a huge tower of snacks that would probably be pretty heavy.
"I'm not sure we can hold all of that on a plate," she told him thoughtfully. When she looked back to him, he was blushing again. She raised an eyebrow, wondering what it could be that was making him blush again, but the sounds of a new song playing had answered her question.
"Oh..." She said to herself in a very light sound before realizing he was talking to her. "Huh?"
"How about we each take a plate and stack whatever we can and then share?" he suggested, tilting his head in a rather sweet fashion. One eye squinted to support his growing smile. "And we can always come back for seconds!" he exclaimed, throwing two arms in the air.
Lunira grinned as wide as he did, nodding as well. "That sounds like a good plan! Hmm, how about you take this--" She cut herself off, seeing a very large shadow near them, which she discovered belonged to Masurao.
No wonder he was the Princess's bodyguard, that guy can really sneak up on someone and not be noticed. The black-and-white-furred teen almost jumped a little as she blinked, before shaking her head a little.
"Um....what I was saying?....Oh yeah! How about you take this end..and I'll take that end," She pointed with her hand at each table-point. "And then we can meet up at the middle to share, okay?" Giving him another grin, she turned sideways and headed down towards one table-end.
When she was a few feet away, she couldn't help but glance over her shoulder towards Nebulos. A small pink blush grew on her cheeks as she did so. He certainly looks dashing in that suit, it really complemented him.
"Hey there miss thing."
"Huh?" Lunira jumped a little, now her attention being focused on who it was that talked to her. "Zoelin?"
"The one and only." Zoelin stood near the table with an oddly colored apple in one hand and was leaning against the wall with the other. She looked slightly different than the last time Lunira saw her, since parts of her hair was a little astray, though her eye was still visible.
"What happened?"
"...Mm, two words. Mosh. Pit." Zoelin chewed on her apple for a moment before adding, "it was fun, but...I prefer not to get too grabby when dancing like that, if you know what I mean." As she watched the squirt go to the table and grab a plate, Zoelin stretched a little.
"Hey Zo?"
"Hmm?"
"You know, you don't have to stand around here all night." Lunira smiled up at her, while getting a few things that somewhat resembled a pear. "Go out there and try and mingle or something."
"Hmm...Maybe, but I'm not sure if I want to mingle after that encounter." And with that, the girl walked away from the table to let Lunira get some food, but not before adding, "don't you forget to mingle with your lover boy!"
The last few words made the panda-esque girl turn a darker shade of pink in her cheeks.
Once again, she was out near the dance floor, trying to swerve her way from the dancing couples. "Hmm...I wonder where the deejay's at," she muttered as she munched on the apple again.

JUST A BIT MAYBE? ;3
- -
Masurao certainly couldn't deny a certain pang of guilt he felt when he saw the girl go from bliss to glum in barely a second. He certainly hadn't intended for the princess to be upset, but unfortunately his habit of stating the truth happened to do that every once in a while. Dancing was certainly not an ability he possessed. Masurao was about to make an apology, but Niji was ahead of him: "Well then, I think it's time you learned."
An eyebrow lifted. He didn't comment immediately, quite certain that she was about to elaborate on the idea, even though he was convinced he was not going to like whatever she had in mind. "Think of it like a lesson. You'll need to know this if you want to ask a girl to dance, you do not want to step on her toes." she continued. At this point, Masurao had already lifted his eyebrow a few stories higher. He didn't quite understand where Niji got the idea that he, Masurao of all people, would ask a girl to dance with him. The idea itself seemed rather absurd to him. "Especially if she's wearing new shoes. That's very important." the rainbow girl concluded, leaving the guard no wiser than before.
Before he ad any chance to respond, Niji had suddenly taken hold of his arm and took him along. Slightly startled, Masurao meant to pull away, but realized he couldn't because it was Niji who wa taking him along, and of course he could not ignore an order this direct. He muttered some faint excuse, but it fell on deaf ears and soon enough, much to the wolf's displeasure, they were finding themselves in the middle of dancing couples, many of them clinging onto each other as if their lives depended on it. The expression on his face was a lot sterner than usual, indicating he'd rather be anywhere else but on this spot.
Niji, however, didn't seem to notice or just chose to ignore it. "Now, this song is a slow one so..." she explained, and then startled Masurao by draping his arms around his neck. He stood there for a minute, looking quite clueless and Niji seemed to notice. "You have to put your arms around my waist... Like this. See?" Before he could protest, the princess had taken hold of his blue hand and placed in on said body part. Flushing a bit, Masurao made to remove his hand right away, but Niji was keeping it firmly there. He frowned a tad. If any other boy had been in the exact same position he was right now, there was no doubt that he would've strode right over, or at least stare at said male so intently that he chose to leave on his own accord. But, seeing how he was now the male he was supposed to glare it, he found himself in a rather confusing situation.
"Yes, I see. . . " he repeated rather monotonously, his expression neutral, though leaning to glum. He averted his eyes and uttered a silent huff, polite enough as to not reveal his ideas about the situation to the Origamian princess in front of him.
Um....what I was saying?....Oh yeah! How about you take this end..and I'll take that end." Nebulos trailed her finger as she pointed in a direction. Smiling brightly, the small boy nodded vigorousy, making his antennae flicker and bounce. "Yeah, sounds like a plan!" he agreed, an promptly ensued by taking one of the fancy-designed plates from the stack in front of them. The convenient part of being this size, was that absolutely no on looked up when you climbed the table and started to collect snacks by walking right between them. Which was exactly what Nebulos was doing.
As he began his quest for stacking as much various foods he managed to balance on the large plate, he turned his head around to peek over at his panda-like friend. He caught her just in time to see her turn her head away from his direction. The sight of it made a pleasant blush colour his cheeks purple. A kind, affectionate smile was cast in her direction and he watched her for a minute, the people passing unable to miss the fond expression that graced the boy's blue features. When she got involved in a conversation with Zoelin, the Luminarian turned back to his collection of food, the gentle smile still adorning on his face.

[psst...pssssssssssssssst...pst...I think this died.. D: ] -----------------------------------------------------------------------
Zoelin glanced around the dance floor, trying to stand on her tippy-toes as she did so, but there was no spot of a random alien playing music. Giving a pout, she returned to her normal position and folded her arms.
"Dang...they must've hidden the room." Flicking her two tails, another thought came to her, making her grin once again. She threw the apple away, before walking towards the door where new-arrivals were coming in to dance.
Just as she was on her way, she passed a couple that was dancing, but stopped once she laid her eyes on them. It was Princess Niji trying to teach her bodyguard to dance? Zoelin grinned once again, wondering if she should give tips or not.
"Psst...pssssssssssst. You need to sway a little more." And to give a demonstration, she swayed a little from side to side. "See?"
-----------------------------------------
Now that she was up on the table, getting some of the items was a lot easier. A wide variety of foods was there, making the small Ursa blink a couple of times. "Wow...that's a lot." A small thinking-frown came upon her face, as she picked up a few pieces of food.
Most of them smelled pretty good, others...a little weird.
There were all still pretty yummy-looking, though, until she saw one dish.
"Wow..I can't believe they have them," she whispered, as she walked over towards the plate. She reached down to pick them up, at least to confirm that they were real, and she smiled. "Yep..they do." It was one of those round candies that Nebulos always talked about, Quablits.
The smile growing wider, she looked up and towards the other end of the table. When her eyes rested on the blue teen, she waved towards him, while trying to point at the dish as well.
